Previously rated it a 3 but upgrading to 4 after recent visit, very comfortable bed. Recommended for vegetarians the mozzarella and tomato roll, not the veggie burger.

The hotel itself is good, the reason it's above a lot of other hotels in kyiv is the staff. They are friendly and helpful. Especially the staff at the ground floor bar, you couldn't ask for better service.

Decent enough huge hotel close to the stadium, but also good enough to walk into city centre in 20 min. Has a lot of amneties inside the building, good breakfast and friendly staff.

Soviet charm. If they have a breakfast, I can't figure out where. Exercise room would be useful.

They impressed me with theirs safety policy. It’s the most important thing during political conflict. Also they provide all the services need - restaurant, room service, fitness. Despite current situation in Ukraine staff of this hotel do their best to provide safe and comfortable staying. Security staff of President hotel prior my visit checked my identity, and before check-in bags were also checked. So during my stay I was confident in other guests and in my own safety. Good location. In the city centre. The rooms are nice. But the double rooms beds are too narrow and are very close. We them moved. There are rooms with a balcony. Pleased with the fact that on the table there are free snacks and lemonade. Food good. You can eat in the lobby, in the restaurant, in the summer there is a terrace open. 15 minutes walk from Livoberezhna subway station. The interior was rather old and I used it in my room while suppressing the possibility that the shower head would break and get off. No air conditioner, hot in summer daytime, but not so at night. There is a bar on the 1st floor where you can drink alcohol until midnight. It is currently closed due to renovation work.

My wife and I were in Kyiv about 50 years ago. We lived in Slavutych. We still remember. An excellent hotel. And in general, I liked the whole of Kyiv. Then and now it has become even more beautiful.

It needs to be refurbished. Some construction works is being already done around the building. Taxi drivers do not have a clear spot for pick-up and drop-off. Elevators with the card keys behave different one from another, doors quite worn-out, I am not big, but the shower cabin was very narrow, I kept beating off my elbows. Bed was fine, Internet connection ok. Generally good to stay one night.

I usually stay at this hotel when I am in Kiev, it is right next to the Darnitsa metro station so you can easily get on the metro and in 15-20 minutes you can be almost anywhere in Kiev. Rooms are nice, good quality, same as in USA or major European city and the price is reasonable. I recommend this hotel

The room is like, no Slippers, room cleaning superficial as ever. Towels changed 1 time, and it is only large, the others are nicely hung. The balcony was covered in cigarette butts. Breakfast is not much. With the elevators at all the confusion and creak terribly.

An impressive hotel building close to Maidan (independence square), a few minutes walk. Also near the cable car that takes you down to Podil area next to the river. Lovely room on 7th floor overlooking Maidan, staff were amazing! Huge bed with a delightful sitting room, fridge, bathroom was large with a deep bath. Absolutely spotless. Staff were delightful and reception spoke English very well. I did have to go to the onsite bomb shelter, which was surprisingly comfortable with chairs to sit in, or like me, found a place to lie down.

Great 5-star hotel, although the standard is not fully met in some aspects. The breakfast, for example, is not very varied, although it is well-stocked. Excellent located hotel within 3 minutes from Kyiv Pass. train station and metro station Vokzalna. Friendly and helpful staff at reception. Just across the street are 8 restaurants located with various cuisines as well as two supermarkets. Room was big enough , all amenities were available. For smokers smoking on the floor balcony is allowed with railway station and city view.

Another Great Stay When I visit Kyiv it is where I stay. I can catch an early train from the Station that is a 5 minute a way. Appreciate Pavlo taking good care of me at check-in. I find the entire staff to be kind and helpful.

The location is very comfortable for travellers, especially if you need just to rest between the trains as it's directly near the railway station. I think 1990 is the date these rooms were created and they have not been changed since. It is clean, but nothing interesting. Lobby area is very nice. I was on the 12th floor with a great view. In America this would have been a 3-star and everything was clean and adequate. Maybe here it's more of a 4-star. Price was very reasonable about $48 and that was without any discounts.

Reception made a small mistake during my check in and was very apologetic. They upgraded my room and gave me a free drink voucher. I appreciate the compensation although I do wish I would have been offered credit for my next stay. The upgraded room didn’t feel all too upgraded to me. Everything about staying at this property is good. I've been in seven countries in five weeks on this trip and this was the most comfortable bed of all hotels. The buffet breakfast was really good - I spent an hour at breakfast every morning and it cost the equivalent of 10 Euros. I could walk to most things in the city which is very spread out.
