Hostels in Kiev

best hostel i have ever stayed at, the hosts are very nice and gorgeous also, it’s the perfect place for people who wants to have few days in kyiv, it’s in the center of the city, literally everything is few steps away from you

I will give four three, however it can really varies depends on your expectation. So I will list some points of my experience. The location is really perfect, very close to the center, restaurants and metro station! However, it is located in a secundary street of the avenue, this street at first view looks a little strange, maybe not safe (But I did not have any problem even when I arrive at night...

We (3 friends) have been there on sunday. The girls at the reception are very friendly and could answer all our questions. The hostel is very familiar and nice. It is possible to store the bags till you have to go to the airport after checkout. Thanks again for everything!

Small hostel in the city center of Kiew. The entrance is not easy to find and you have to knock/bell that somebody opens your door. There is drinking water available - that’s a huge advantage (be careful with the tap water). Lockers are there (deposit required) as well as a good working WiFi. Unfortunately there is no cozy chill room and therefore not to much opportunity to talk to other tourists....

I stayed a few nights in this wonderful hostel during my trip to Kiev. This place is very welcoming and happy. The room and the common areas were sparklingly clean and the whole atmosphere was great. The location is also unbeatable! You step outside and you’re in the heart of the city. Highly recommend Friends Forever for all the travelers!

A fantastic central place to stay during the war—ideal for connecting with others in the NGO space and sharing stories. It offers excellent value for money, with a wide variety of meals available and well-equipped shared facilities for those who prefer to self-cater. Guests can choose between private rooms or more affordable shared accommodation. During air raids, we often gathered together, singing...

This is a very impressive hostel. It's a beautiful building nestled into a courtyard. The staff were incredible. The private room with private bath was exceptional, it was hotel level comfort, at a very reasonable price. The on site restaurant is amazing, but I wish they kept the small seating area by the reception reserved for the hostel guests as a common area in the evening, because while the restaurant...

While I do agree that this is the best option for the price, there are some drawbacks worth mentioning. All rooms have a ventilation system that runs non-stop, and it makes a constant noise. If you're sensitive to sound, be prepared to feel like you're living next to a humming turbine. Of course, it’s not as bad as having noisy neighbors — if you're unlucky enough to have those — but it genuinely annoys...

Spacious Hostel with fully functional kitchen and regular active cleaning throughout the day. Front staff are very professional and friendly except one prejudiced lady complaining about nothing :)..in any case highly recommended

A very clean and tidy hostel. Everyone was very interested and the restaurant next to it has very delicious food. We had difficulties just because of check-in and check-out times. Check-in time is 3 p.m and the day is almost over in this season. Since the check-out time is 11 am, it does not compensate for the late check-in time.

Loved this place, of the 3 hostels this was my favorite. A few hiccups with booking but after that was resolved, I really enjoyed the location. It's close to lots if attractions, easy walking distance to many restaurants and shopping centers. The hostel has a kitchen with everything you need, a restaurant inside and help the whole time. I would stay here again.

Location is little away from the centre but there is connecting transportation available.Easily accessible location.Hostel is comfortable with dormitory, private rooms, capsule, common area, kitchen, separate smoking point, laundry service and food service. You can order tasty food at the reception.Staff speak English.Daily cleaning is also there.Good place for budget travelers.

Free WiFi, Comfortable, Modern Vibes and conducive

Friendly staff, location fine, super clean.. all round good experience...

100% perfect. I honestly couldn't tell you how this place should improve, as it's already perfect! Plus, great location. 5 stars more than deserved

Well maintained hostel. A bit warm inside the capsule but all good. Quiet, washing machine, dryer, kitchen, fast Wifi, perfect location, early check in option.

I enjoy our stay here always ( visited twice). Friendly staff, clean capsules. I stayed in a double bed capsule. Location is perfect. Affordable price as well. Right beside the metro station and not far from center. A must visit.

I loved it, it is the best combination between the price of a hostel with almost the privacy of your own room. What more do you need when traveling? You're just going to sleep there and anyways the pods are quite big for you to move around and organize your backpack or whatever. Everything is very clean, even the toilets and showers are in good condition. They have a small kitchen and lounge where...

Amazing concept. Lovely staff. I love the fact that you have total privacy inside your capsule, regardless being a "hostel". The capsules are big enough so you feel comfortable in them. Everything is very clean. Good showers. Fast internet. Breakfast is the only thing I'd skip next time. It's all sweet items only. Will repeat the experience for sure.

The concept of private capsules is very good, it gives you complete privacy. You have everything you need inside the capsule an electricity socket, full light for the capsule, a small mirror with quite light, a relaxing light help you to sleep with such stars ceiling and two small ventilation fans one to allow fresh air go inside other one to take out the air outside. The service is awesome since I...

Globe Runner Hostel completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful — they genuinely go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and taken care of. The hostel is spotless, well organized, and feels safe and relaxed. The beds are comfortable, the common areas are perfect for hanging out and meeting great people, and the...

Great position, shame about the roadworks but will be good when completed. Room comfortable but had to turn down the heating. Will stay again next time.

It was great. Clean & friendly hostel in good location

I love the interior design, sophisticated loft style. There’s everything you need for a comfy stay either it is a dormitory or a single room. A pleasure to stay in a clean room, sleep on a big bed; the rooms aren’t small - even for crowded room you won’t be feeling in a tiny space, I like this decision not to save on room sizes. The receptionists are very helpful, thanks guys :)

I stayed here for the last part of my holiday and there are a few things to note. The dorm beds are very nice for a hostel and the beds themselves are comfy and the curtains are great, but the top one is too high for short people like me. Honestly, I had a very hard time always getting up there and at night I avoided getting down in case I needed it, because I didn't feel safe doing it in the dark...

We rented the Urban Quarters Apartment and were very satisfied. It was clean, stylish and had character and ambiance. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be returning. Our favorite aspect was our gorgeous balcony! great to sit and chat. The location is awesome, close to many restaurants, food shops etc. Really pleasantly surprised. Thanks!

Good It was ok. I liked it. Room was a bit difficult to breath at night due to lack of ventilation. The more people, the less oxygen. Also, some noise at night by boys in the building. Other than that it was nice. Seemed safe, and a nice seating area. I would stay again, but I will hope it will be less people in the room.

The best hostel in Kiev good location, close to vagzol central rail station, walkable distance to metro, bus station. Very clean hostel.book in advance always full.

Pluses: Fairly cheap place, you can get a bunk bed for $7-10. Close to railway station. Close to bus station. Fairly clean. Has locker where you can put your stuff. Has breakfast, included in the price. Room and the closet open with the same magnet key. Have about 6 showers. Minuses: Room for 4 people was really small, even though you pay a bit more, you actually getting much less personal space....

Z Hostel is my go-to any time I am going through Kyiv. The prices are fair, the guests are respectful, and you can reserve rooms through their website for free. The staff are also tremendous, and the place offers a free, if modest breakfast, as well as free luggage storage on checkout day. I have stayed here a number of times in a variety of rooms and have never had anything negative to report. Overall...

This hostel is located at 15-20 minutes walking from the city centre. It's not a long walk and it deserved for his cheaper price. We stayed in a simple but comfortable private room with shared bathroom. Maybe, the worst was the mattress springs, which sticks in some parts of your body, being necessary find the right sleeping position. The mixed shared bathroom has 2 showers, 2 toilets, 2 sinks and...

I had spent 8 days in this hostel and honestly I would love to stay longer. It was super clean, all people were extremely friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to come back🤍

Everything was very good but the only problem is that it is far from the metro))

Oh I had fun staying here. I was travelling solo. Rented my own single room here and was great. Very good price for 5 nights and lovely receptionist that stayed all night to make sure that place is safe. Its hostel so don't expect miracles :) not very clean bathrooms but they had hot water and that's was perfect for me. I am not greedy. Small kitchen enough to prepare your meals. Also you could leave...

Thank you for good time , Talaat harb

Nice place with wonderful staff, one toilet is better than the other.

Clean, Not bad for price and location, could use a bit of a refresh but good overall

Very convenient location and the station and the center nearby. The room was better than in the photo, has everything you need for living: wardrobe, slippers, shower cosmetics, hair dryer, refrigerator, TV, enough outlets (including by the bed). Quiet, cozy place with unobtrusive caring service. You can see beautiful views from the windows, I recommend staying here ☺️

The majority of the staff speak passable English. A few speak it fluently. The rooms are clean, they have 2 western toilets, 2 squat toilets and 2 urinals. They have male & female shower rooms. They have a washing machine also. I stayed here on different occasions and had no problems. They will assist you with public transportation. The service is first rate.

It was super. The toilet and shower room were always cleaned All the tools and equipment you can find in the kitchen So organized Good place for sleeping Average prices Internet is good Location is very perfect, near from subway(metro) and center too The receptionists were helpful & friendly They were so Secretaries If I have a chance to visit Kiev again, for sure I will be in gar’is hostel

Good place for good price. Ideal to stay here during a 3-4 days long city tour.

Feels a bit more like social housing than a hostel. Good location and cheap so there is that. Internet is fine.

The walls are very thin, people are very noisy till after midnight, always slamming doors. I’m not sure if they clean the toilets. Showers are fine with plenty of hot water. The overall place seems small and darker than pictured. Metro is close, which is nice. Would not stay here again.

When I came to the hostel the staff welcomed me very friendly and showed me around. When I entered my room I told them, that I can't sleep there. It was just too stinky. I was waiting for around one hour and they tried to find a solution. I got a single room for the first night without extra charge and the second night I paid the difference. It was a good solution for all of us. The location is very...

The receptionist was friendly and gave an extra blanket for the night Good location, many attractions nearby The things I disliked - the hostel was quite cool, the rooms were not additionally heated. It was not very clean, there was an unpleasant smell. Also, when checking in, keep in mind that during our stay (mid-May 2023) the administrator was not always in the hostel, but only appeared when it...

Special and recommendable place in the heart of Kiew. Thanks for the good times.

I found choosing a hostel in Kyiv strangely difficult; some were cheap but far away; others were cheap and well located but looked terrible. This proved the best combination of value and location so much so I stayed here twice. It's a small enough place so may want to book ahead. You can pay with a card which most places I stayed at in Ukraine didn't have. It's a short walk to all the sites. There...

Quite honestly, you won't find a hostel to stay in that is in a better location than this one. Metro lines very close by too. Restaurants and bars galore. Nice, friendly staff who will help you know where to go and how to get there. A quiet area. Good, clean showers and bathroom. And a nice kitchen with tea and coffee and kettle and water provided. But buy your own food! One slight drawback is that...

Very spartan conditions! The premises are a hangar sheathed with plasterboard, divided by the same plasterboard into tiny boxes, with no windows. Exit to the street - only one door (this is for fire safety). One toilet, one shower, kitchen - a table with a microwave and a refrigerator in the corridor. You need to have your own dishes. That is, there is nowhere to sit down and eat. There is no place...

Ok place just to sleep 24/7 close to train station, only 1 shared shower though.

I booked a single room, it was small but the bed was nice. Can't expect more for this price. The staff was very friendly even though we had communication problems as I don't speak ukrainian/russian yet. Defenitely recommend for travellers on a budget without high standards

This is a pastel not a hotel so it’s kinda what u expect. Less than ideal. The showers were definitely in need of some TLC. Water came shooting out of the hose. Oh well slept good anyway.

After spending a while researching hostels in Kiev and feeling unsure about what to book (and even booking Pallet Hostel) I ended up quite enjoying my stay here. I had the single room which was 300UAH per night. Tiny room (just a single bed and about the same floor space as a single bed). The minuses: the bathroom situation is quite limited with only a few toilets/ showers per floor, I had about a...

Another happy customer. But toilets and shower room needs improvement.

Good quality for the price, location ok. The main issue was probably not due to the hostel but the guests. Some men in the dormitory had such bad smelling feet that I couldnt spend any time awake there.

Really cosy place to stay. It is really cheap, in the same building is little shop, where you can buy food. Almost everything is in walking distance. Love it.

Small but cozy. Beds aren't large, but very comfortable. Bathrooms and toilets clean and new. Kitchen is tiny, but it has everything you need.

Hotel quality accommodation at hostel prices. Close to the Arsenal metro station and the city center.

I spent a full week there. This is a hostel for quiet travellers and families, it is not a party hostel where everyone goes on pub crawls. It has the best showers and toilets that I have ever seen in a hostel and there is plenty of room in the dormitories. Cooking facilities are excellent though only one person can cook at a time and there are two large refrigerators and freezers. Everywhere is kept...

Great location, clean and comfy rooms, wifi and other things you need

For wanted is just the perfect place: comfortable beds, Chistota, self closing drawers, the presence of the slow cooker, kettle, iron, washing machine and microwave. Convenient location and comfortable home and yard.

I liked it, if there was A/C I'd give it a 5 🌟!! 😉

The check in was pretty smooth eventhough the lady at the counter said i need to add 100 more for early check in which i dont understand since the bed was already available. Other than that, super clean centrally located towel provided clean bedding and super comfy bed! Highly recommended 😊 Also very quiet which gives you all the privacy! AC in the room, hot water, good water pressure, clean kitchen...

I had to request one of the newer pods. The pods themselves are ok, and give good privacy. But the whole place was very hot, and it's a real hassle to do anything, like shower or go to toilet.

First time in one of these. Honestly, not bad if you know what you're getting yourself into. Would choose this over a regular hostel any day! If it wasn't for a mess at check in, four stars.

Pros = Very Clean, Great Air Conditioning, Comfortable furniture, Fantastic location Cons = 1 or 2 members of staff have a really nasty aura around them. Like, a really bad vibe. It's very noticeable. I felt highly uncomfortable around one particular member of staff. There's something very nasty/off about her. She should have nothing to do with the public. I'd never ever come back. There's far better...

I was worried that it would be a noisy hotel but it was super quiet. The staff is very helpful and the place is very clean

incredibly friendly and helpful host, great location, functional, clean space, a great place to stay for a prolonged period on a budget.

excellent hostel with incredible staff, the administrator is a genuine and lovely man whose made the experience utterly brilliant. its in proximity to a number of locations to suit your every need and with the globus mall nearby. reliable heating, electricity, and warm showers, washing machine & dryer w/ utilities for kitchen and bathroom. comfortable beds too. honestly such a great place to be and...

Not the best hostel i've ever been to. Staff doesn't speak english, and the matresses are not comfortable at all. The hostel only has one bathroom, so take this into account when traveling in a bigger group. Anyways, it was cheap and clean

i am here now for the second time and they kept the quality up in enjoying my stay as much as when i was here in August the dja hostel is a clean hostel the personal tries real hard to help and to understand you even that she did not speak english (very little europeans come here) boernl out

Hostel in the center of the city, the prices are more than adequate, friendly receptionist, really good company, clean starched white linen, refrigerator, separate bathroom. Everything is clean and tidy. There are minor disadvantages: the bathroom, though clean, but the tiles, sink and shower hose old; eight-bedded room in which I live, not spacious enough for me (although I doubt that someone here...

They are welcoming and always ready to help .hot water always ,large kitchen and everything in it and hostel is always clean

A quaint and wonderful place in the center of the city. A full working kitchen and absolutely clean rooms. You will be amazed how close the grocery stores are from this location just 3 minutes in any direction. Despite the war in Kiev , this location is safe. I highly recommend.

It's very good experience. Recommend to everyone

Good location, next to the railway station. Clean and comfortable. Good mattresses.

I liked everything in this hostel, moreover I apologize for the previous comment, because I made a mistake, I made a mistake, the staff welcomed us warmly and they were kind, it is clean , a shower that works well, a clean toilet, a kitchen it looks like a house it has you all, you can cook a dinner for 10 people easily, and the good thing about it is the place it is close to the station and the...

The hostel is good, all the amenities for living. Convenient interchange and there are 3 supermarkets nearby. The hostel has a large kitchen where you can cook deliciously at home, two refrigerators. Administrator - The director is a delicate person. Good luck to everyone who lives there.

I really liked the hostel! It's clean and cozy, the staff is polite and always ready to help. The location is great—close to shops, cafes, and public transportation. The price was a pleasant surprise—for the price, it's a real find. I'll definitely come back and recommend it to all my friends!

From a bad shower. The condition was very questionable so we didn't use it. The smell in the bed was like second-hand. Not all the closets have a key. The toilet is quite questionable because the sink in it has a volume of about 400 ml.

On average, quite good cheap and angry staff very good

Pretty nice and clean hostel, hostess friendly has everything you need a kitchen, cupboard, (but for some reason we did not have the keys to them) toilets, cheap enough to have wifi Plus: wifi price and comfort Minus: up to 23 must be in the house. The bed creaks.

A very decent and inexpensive hostel! The receptionist girl is polite, kind and pretty 😁🤗 Inside, cleanliness and order, both in the rooms and in the kitchen, shower, toilet! It is forbidden to drink alcohol and smoke! A pleasant, quiet and relaxing stay awaits you. P.S. There would be more such decent and clean establishments in this service sector !!!

We arrived at the place and had to wait 15 minutes to be accommodated, but then the administrator took care of everything. In general, not a bad place to spend the night. You can cook for yourself, because the kitchen has everything you need.
