I’ve been staying at The Prince Hotel since June, and honestly, my experience has been amazing from start to finish although I did start off coming from a very bad patch in the beginning but every single staff member here has treated me and my daughter with such kindness, respect, and care and supported us so much — they’ve truly gone above and beyond in every way.

Keith, the owner, is one of the most accommodating and genuine people you could meet. He’s always willing to help and make sure everything is right for his guests. Sarah has been absolutely lovely too — She’s been such a big part of our journey here — she talks to my daughter every day and has a special bond with her, and that small act of kindness has meant the world to both of us. She truly cares, and that’s something we’ll never forget. Adeel, one of the night staff, has supported me so much during my stay; he’s someone I could always count on if I needed anything, no matter the time.

There are also so many other wonderful people working here — Patricia, Karina, and Eliani&Daniel — who are always so warm and welcoming. The maintenance man- John deserves a big mention too: one day I accidentally spilled paint in my car boot, and he went out of his way to help me clean it I believe out of his shift hours to . He didn’t have to do that, but he did — and that really shows the kind of people who work here.

The cleaning staff also do such a brilliant job keeping everything spotless, and they’re always friendly and respectful.

Overall, The Prince Hotel has been more than just a place to stay — it’s been a home for me and my daughter when we needed it most. Coming from having nothing and being homeless to having a safe, comfortable roof over our heads has meant everything. I think sometimes people take that for granted or focus on small complaints, but for me, I’ve only felt gratitude. I have witnessed the way they treat other residents here and I honestly can say everyone’s been treated the same with so much kindness and care from all the staff

I’m genuinely sad to be leaving soon, but I’ll always be thankful for the kindness, support, and care we’ve received here. I can’t recommend The Prince Hotel and its staff highly enough — they’ve truly made a difference in our lives.

Prince Hotel more like survival of the fittest Poor internet connection and Poor phone signal, don’t bother making phone calls, I mean at the end of the day do you really need to call someone:) Very loud neighbours as neighbours have a habit of standing/sitting outside chatting and chatting laughing all night until 3am so you can’t sleep at night. Also if u feel hungry past 10pm don’t even bother to go the kitchen and make some food because they have this stupid rule of closing the kitchen at 10pm everyday and that’s just the tip of the iceburge as if u need it get to work by 6am the kitchen will still not be open as it opens at 7am so you might aswell starve. Also the policies and regulations are constantly changed for their convenience. Felt like I was a prisoner with the amount of cameras that where watching me. Even outside of the hotel and up the street lol.( might as-well start casting a film of a day in my life). Mould in the shower and walls Smells like urine in some rooms Water makes you skin dry (e.g. hands and body) seems like processed water, if u have sensitive/ acne prone skin DO NOT USE THE WATER. They claim to have “free breakfast” for everyone but if u do not come early it’s all gone. First come First serve. Sara (the manager) she is so rude, does not know how to speak to people with respect and dignity. She also does not let you speak and thinks she is always right. Seems like she is not okay in the head. Side note I really really hope u see my comment ;). Fridge is over crowded with food ( no place to place ur own food) The fridge smells so bad it can put you into a coma. The ‘Hotel’ is a ‘live in home’ for people and families that are waiting to get housed by the council/housing association. So not a proper hotel. The duvet cover is very small and tiny, buy or bring your own. Oh wait for this one, when cleaning staff come around to clean your room make sure to place your belongings in a locked suitcase or else if you leave things in the open especially, they will just come and take it without saying a word neither giving it back. THEFT They also have an outside tiny dining room and they expect every one to go eat there even in extreme weather as you are not allowed to eat in the rooms. If you are caught eating in the room the manger (SARA) comes early in the morning, even when you are sleeping to bang on your door and if you refuse to open the door she has a spare key and will just open the door (no privacy) and force her way in to shout at you. Also the cleaning staff have a key.

Myself and my Mother have been moved in here after we were evicted from our bungalow last week due to no fault eviction. My Mother is disabled and I'm her carer and we're in the ground floor disabled room. We are homeless not roofless so this is temporary accommodation for us until Sandwell Council find us a permanent accommodation.
Sarah, Kelly and all the staff here go out of their way to help. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Our room and beds are spotlessly clean. If I could give 6 🌟 I would. But it's 5 🌟 from us.

This place is the worst hotel to stay it is like a bed and breakfast the rooms are decaying and needs to redecorate the owner watches your every move through his window so there is no privacy. Do not stay here the shower is broken it constantly gets cold so you cannot have a proper shower without adjusting the mixer and only a drip of water per second. The staff also tell lies on you. The entire business is run down. This is not prince hotel it is pauper hotel, beggers cant be chooses.

It's a very basic hotel. You get what you pay for. Room stank of smoke and piss. Had to sleep on the floor the bed was so uncomfy. Staff are friendly though....

The staff were very friendly, and made me feel very welcome during my stay. My room was very simple, but comfortable and clean, and was exactly what I wanted. Excellent value budget accommodation.

It's plain and simple with a warm welcome. Continental breakfast is included at £50 per night. Breakfast included as much as you want of toast, tea, coffee, orange juice. A choice of 10 cereals, strawberries, melon, grapes, bananas & apples. Bed was really comfortable and room clean.

The staff are really friendly and helpful but this place I would only recommend this place if you're just after a bed (hence why it's a cheap place to stay). It reminds me a lot of a share house in London with individual rooms and share bathroom facilities. The shower didn't work too well for me, it would be extremely hot and then after a minute went cold. I had to do this three times. The bed was comfy and it wasn't too noisy. It's a simple bus ride from the city centre which takes about 20 minutes.

Lovely food, not greasy as with many. We had the taster menu and really enjoyed it, particularly the starters. Good customer service too.

Ordered from here as Dilshad (my usual) had a kitchen emergency and had unfortunately closed. Seafood platter was diabolical value for money at £13.00. There was no fish in it as stated on the menu. We paid £30 and for that received 4 Samosas that were literally dripping grease, an extremely watery prawn curry that consisted mainly of an untasty sauce and a very small amount of prawns. A rice and veg curry that was ok. A bit bland but ok. 4 poppadoms and the 'Seafood platter that was most definitely NOT a platter!! It was a small tub of overcooked seafood. We ordered a naan too but though charged for, it wasn't received. Very unhappy with first (and last) order from this place. Avoid!

Excellent food and good value. Have visited Birmingham three times this year and always choose hotels nearby so I can eat here. Staff very friendly. I'll be back!
