Holiday Inn Birmingham M6 Jct7 by IHG, Birmingham1 / 30

Birmingham, Chapel Lane (9 km from centre) 🧭 Map
There was no hot water across the hotel when we arrived. They didn't tell us in check-in and said there was a sign instead. They didn't bother to use initiative and keep gym pool shower changing rooms available instead, as they needed member of staff to be present !! Not well organised during this incident. The pool, sauna and facilities are APPALLING and in bad state and needs urgent updating. Full...
Was ok, Nothing amazing. Parking is free which is nice. Breakfast is decent. My Room was ok I booked a Double Bed but got two Single Beds pushed together which i don't like. Bathroom was abit poky. Bar Area is ok Good Selection of Draughts. Had a Beefburger wasn't the best i've ever had.
Rooms nice size, very clean and well equipped with kettle and tea/coffee making facilities, good breakfast with good selection.
Great hotel and location. Kind staff and room lovely
Great stop over stay, swimming pool was ideal for the kids after a long drive.
It’s decent enough. Bar area nice. Breakfast excellent. Rooms is pretty standard. My bathroom was quite poky that’s the only complaint. Would prob stay again overall.

Lovely stay in a great location. Friendly and helpful staff without exception, especially in the dining area and reception. The spa and gym are well maintained and lovely way to spend some relaxation time with friends.
The hotel is located in the best city center location. It aging a bit but rooms are good and the staff are excellent. Highly recommended.
This hotel was fabulous, definitely recommend the stay. Staff are friendly, rooms kept clean, lots of things to do if you do not want to travel outside the hotel. Would 100% recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for the perfect break.
Comfortable night stay, amazing service.
Another fantastic stay at the Hyatt Birmingham. The service from all of the staff was exemplary, kudos to the restaurant manager at breakfast who always ensures his team delivers the very best. This is the only hotel to stay at in Birmingham
Fabulous hotel, great amenities - jacuzzi and sauna were all wonderful! Lovely canal view!

We went to see Suzi Quatro and stay’d at the crown plaza it was amazing room and we had a great stay xxx
Would stay here over and over again. The breakfast is lovely!
Very nice hotel, except the air conditioner sound. A bit too loud during the night😂 But in general, all good
The Crowne Plaza is close to Birmingham New Street station and it was such a joy to stay in. It is clean, modern, spacious and the staff are really helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
The hotel's location is excellent. It's about a 10-minute walk from Xin Jie train station, making it very convenient for getting around. Museums, the library, and the canal are all within a 10-minute walk. The English breakfast at the hotel is plentiful and tastes great, much better than outside restaurants. The room was clean, the environment was quiet, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring...
A/C (heating) was so load to the point I had to change rooms. Still, also in the new the noise from the A/C was considerable. Very casual guest group present (groups of teenagers). Staff were helpful and friendly. Way to the city centre and train station is somewhat dodgy at night. Rooms nice and modern.

Really impressed with our stay at the Holiday Inn at Birmingham. Great location as it next the train station and city centre. Pleasant and polite staff and reception area with lots comfortable chairs and sofas to chat in. We had a twin room which was large with comfortable beds and a huge tv screen. The dated building from the outside does not reflect the fresh and delightful furnishings inside. Fully...
Location good. Near train station. The reception service was helpful and kind.
Staff was great and the room was clean and very organised with great facilities including in the price of the room
Really great hotel. My first time and I enjoyed it. Very comfortable and location is A1. Would definitely stay here again. Staff friendly too.
The hotel facilities are complete, the environment is good, and the staff are quite enthusiastic. Overall, it's pretty good.
The location is excellent, right next to Birmingham New Street Station, and Chinatown is just a 500-meter walk away. This is my second stay here, and the hotel's amenities and services have definitely improved. The Starbucks bar in the lobby (which sells more than just coffee) and the parking garage in the back are both incredibly convenient.

Great location and great service
Really good hotel started for first time and it was peaceful. Good service from desk and breakfast and my room was upgraded but the bathroom could have used more cleaning. Breakfast was delicious would stay here again but a little expensive.
Stayed here before and had a great experience so we booked again. The stay was just as fab as the first time! Very happy and will be staying again.
Excellent service, customer care, smelled beautiful throughout, clean, tidy throughout. Highly recommended. Well maintained. Excellent value
For a solo traveler the rooms are tiny and often side rooms on the floor. The restaurant is usually busy with outsiders so may need booking or room service is an option. Parking is not available and you may need to book that separately however it’s very near so ok.
Always a delight staying at Park Regis, definitely love this hotel and it’s my favourite place to stay when in Brum. The breakfast is also a highlight, absolutely amazing.

Excellent location for Symphony Hall. Friendly check-in experience, although when we left there was no enquiry as to whether all had been well with our stay. Room had all we needed but unfortunately the bathroom was very chilly. Enjoyed the breakfast, especially the cooked to order omelettes. We have stayed here before and will do so again when visiting Symphony Hall.
Great hotel with great location.
It was good with location and amenities. The staff was so friendly specially Prajyot
Great stay! Clean rooms, friendly staff and great location for food and drinks - would definitely be back again

Great location and clean hotel
Very friendly stuff always help bar staff also nice, the only downside is it’s a bit noisy the street
Good location near grand central station and shopping center also not far from promenade. Friendly staff and clean rooms.
Great location – about a 5–6 minute walk from the train station, and Chinatown is right outside the hotel, so it’s very convenient for food and getting around. The room was quite spacious, which was nice since I stayed here with my partner for a Valentine’s Day trip. That said, the facilities feel a bit outdated, and the water pressure and temperature in the bathroom weren’t very stable.
We stayed here whisky caring family. Nice hotel had all the basics that we needed and we as also very central
The room was small and it was faraway from lift. This was my third time I booked this hotel, the last visit wasn't good.

The location of the hotel is great. Walking distance to Bullring and most shops and restaurants. But the carpark is a bit of a walk through a not so nice area. Plus the closer car park is not 24 hours. So one night after a dinner that finished late, I missed the closing time of the car park and had to park at the car park that is further away. For cleanliness, the room is generally clean. But the bath...
The location of this hotel is great. Its a short walk to Bullring Shopping Centre and the main train station. This is a typical 4-star hotel so facilities wise is typical of a comparable hotel. This is the second time we stayed in this hotel and we have booked to stay there again in February.
There is no air conditioning, but an electric fan is provided when it is hot.
Clean, but construction work at the main entrance.

Nice hotel, helpful staff, good location.
We had an excellent stay here. The team were very accommodating and the room was spacious and very clean. We asked for a cot for our newborn in advance and the room was kitted out with cot, changing mat, nappy bin and extra bin bags. Room service was quick and fantastic. Only negative was that there were no plug sockets by the bed, only old USB style sockets. Worth noting if you need to travel with...
We stayed at the Malmaison for our wedding. I stayed with my family the night before. After we got married we stayed overnight with friends and family. Had a fabulous breakfast as newly weds. Great stay. The staff were amazing. Everyone was happy. Rooms were great. Thank you!!
I’ve stayed at various Malmaisons over the years and unfortunately it’s just no longer the luxury experience it once was, not at this particular one based on our stay anyway. Having paid close to £200 for one night, the experience just wasn’t anywhere near what it should have been. In contrast to the signature scent when you walk in the hotel, the whole room and linen smelled stale and not fresh at...
We stayed at this hotel on Saturday 17th January and had a truly fantastic experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the reception staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which immediately set the tone for our stay. Beautiful hotel with outstanding service.
The location is fantastic, and the hotel staff are incredibly welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable, especially the duvet – it was perfectly thick and cozy. The soundproofing was also excellent, and the breakfast was superb. Overall, it exceeded my expectations.
The hotel is quite comfortable and very close to the train station.
Beautiful hotel, clean rooms and friendly staff.
The hotel is conveniently located, the staff is professional and friendly. Spacious bathroom and large comfortable bed. Toiletries quality is also noteworthy.

The hotel was very clean and staff were helpful and friendly. We struggled to find anywhere close to where we wanted to be which is the only reason I’ve marked down location, but would be ideal if you were visiting the uni. Breakfast was very nice.
Nisha was excellent on reception. Very warm and friendly, and made us feel very welcome. Please give her a promotion and payrise. She’s a credit to your team.
It was a great place in terms of cleaning, services and amenities. The location is great for business because it's close to the university and the train station as well. Also they provide parking spots which is great. The location is close to the centre during busy and rush hour time, you may need to prepare yourself in advance. Overall I recommend it.
I use this hotel due to its convenient location, being within walking distance of the QE Hospital. I have always had a very warm welcome on checkin and in the bar and restaurant. The rooms are comfortable and a decent size. The only thing missing is a mini-fridge. There is also a gym (not onsite) which you have access to. Car parking is free, which is a bonus.
Brilliant place will visit again and again
Located on part of the Birmingham University campus in Edgbaston so good location for academic conferences / visiting the university, also short distance to dental hospital, cricket ground, tennis centre etc. Plenty of free parking including blue badge and EV charging. Had a great stay. Staff were lovely and so helpful. Room had everything you could need and the location is perfect for the station, shopping and the theatre.
Great old hotel very spacious and full of character.. bit noisey from the street early hours but guess it is a city center ... great breakfast , bread/toast could be better quality and so could the coffees  but it was minor and did the job . We would stay here again conveniently next to the train station and tram stop to get around .  Lovely staff too :)
Very convenient place. Old-style but nice decoration. Clean, and single-room size is reasonable.
A very comfy stay. We love the decor and everything. Will definitely come again!

Really good hotel for price. The room was good size and the breakfast was nice. No real complaints, I will say the layout is a bit hard to figure out rand the building is quite big.
Hotel was in great location for conference at millennium point. Easy access to city but nicely located in slightly quieter spot in Aston university campus. Room was nice and even could have a range of pillows . Bathroom nice , with good fluffy towels . I did think the products were likely watered down and the loo roll was the brown scratchy sort . I was on the second floor and only real complaint was...
Very smooth checkin and comfortable beds made for a very pleasant stay near the city centre and within walking distance of attractions.
It was nice but there was to stay there. Calm and warm. Definitely will visit again
It was generally a good stay. The only two issues I had this time were: 1- The shower drain was almost blocked. It took me ages to take my shower as the water was about to flood and I had to clise the water and wait for it to be emptied before I could open the water again. 2- the was not enough toilet paper.
A short walk away from the train station, the hotel was a little bit tricky to find it being tucked into the University Campus, but I was happy with the room as a whole. The pictures admittedly made the room appear bigger than it was, but for my stay, it was very sufficient. Comfy bed, good shower, pop-up desk for me to do work in the room.

Birmingham, 225 Hagley Road (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Nice big hotel located on Hagley road, outer rooms on the curve are lovely big and have plenty of space. However the internal rooms on the inside of the curve are remarkably smaller and feel much less inviting. However regardless, staff are lovely and the bar/restaurant are good but a little pricey.
Really clean and beds was so comfortable
The hotel is located outside Birmingham city centre but there is a handy bus stop just in front 9f the hotel connecting with Birmingham New Street. The hotel is not modern but clean and value for money. The bed is comfortable and the usual Kettle, Coffee and Tea are available. Breakfast was good and more than sufficient. Unless you need to be in the centre this hotel is certainly worth a stay.
Really enjoyed my stay at the strathallan. Some rooms are a bit dated but If you upgrade to the nicer rooms you definitely get what you pay for. Still overall a good hotel for the price point and good location
The hotel doesn't look up to much from the outside as it's in much need of some TLC but the reception area was a pleasant surprise & the lady in the desk was lovely. The room was small but very nice & did the job for the night at a very good price. We had a full English breakfast in the morning for an additional £10 and it was an all you can buffet style and was good.
The room was too cold during the winter.. the heater is not strong enough. Not suitable for those who are not able to tolerate the cold weather.

Great hotel, really friendly staff. My room was great and it's one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in!
Breakfast was good. The room was very nice and comfortable. I really like the rooms having babes and not numbers along with traditional theme.
I recently stayed at Hotel du Vin Birmingham for one night, mainly because the location was very convenient for an event nearby. Unfortunately, the stay didn’t start well. When my partner arrived first, he noticed the room didn’t seem properly cleaned. We raised this with staff and were moved to another room on the third floor. Although this room felt cleaner, it still wasn’t spotless — the carpet...
Birthday night away. Very grand lounge and smart staff. Had some good martinis and lovely cup of tea. Spent the late afternoon and evening in the bar. Cosy and warm. Nice room, very spacious but felt odd like furniture missing! Bathroom dated. Good bed and bedding :-) Breakfast was terrible, let’s the hotel down. Asked for cream cheese bagels and was given what tasted like whipped cream - defo not...
Great location, comfy bed, however the room was very noisy (corridor noise). Also construction work is ongoing- nice drink token left to recognise this. One issue is the lobby, the entrance doors are very hard to open by yourself with bags as you are on the stairs. But overall good stay.
It’s beautiful building, rooms are nice but few issues: - radiator in bedroom doesn’t work so had a portable one - poor lighting in bedroom, only one spotlight in the room, bathroom lighting very bright - radiator in bathroom is really loud when switched on - window had a gap, not sealed so a slight breeze would come in - on arrival no info was shared on breakfast or complimentary drinks - room names...

Excellent hotel, sleek by design, good quality rooms, and beautiful views. We will 100% be booking again as frequently in Birmingham. This is in my Top 2 hotels in the city based upon our experience on Friday.
The room was absolutely beautiful, and the staff were exceptionally courteous, ensuring a smooth check in and that every need was thoughtfully attended to. For those who appreciate a captivating city view, this hotel is unquestionably the perfect choice.
The room was so hot. The **** lady at the front desk was rude and acted like a **.
We booked CubeHotel for a couples’ trip and were initially welcomed by a very friendly and professional receptionist at check-in (3 PM on 31st July). First impressions were great. However, once we entered the room, things took a turn. The room was extremely hot, and the air conditioning didn’t work properly for hours. Despite multiple attempts to contact reception, the bar, and room service — no one...

Lovely hotel in an amazing location ruined by ‘sauna like’ hotel room, due to broken air con (which apparently had been broken for several months).
