Dark doorway down a quiet (Middle) street no problem with code access to the front and room door (although someone tried to access our room half an hour later! – he had the wrong hotel and had just followed the last guests in the from door – security warning!) Compact room and bathroom were clean enough, toilet could have been cleaned a bit better (some traces of previous guest!) Facilities all worked, for a low cost, room in a great location for the night - It worked! Laundry in bags outside the room doors, seemed cleaning was always in progress. Late night revellers could be heard but take an eye mask and earplugs...I’d book again.

Location, AWFUL! Looks so run down and the noise is ridiculous. Atmosphere, I have no comment! The rooms, where do I start?! Had a 'small double' it was not a small double! It was big enough for one and a single bed. Cells in Bedford HMP are bigger than the room I had. When called the Blok74 reception all I got told was that the room I booked was recommended for a single person! But yet sells On sites as a small double and I they knew it was two of us checking in. It was booked months before. Even booked an extra night before we went due to the trains being stressful on the Sunday. And was still not told when I booked this over the phone direct with them. The bed was against the window so only one person could get out of it. The bed, well! We arrived to find the sheets filthy. And that is an understatement. Photos will show you clearly what we had on arrival. It was horrendous. Stained duvet cover, stained mattress protector, long hair all over the sheets. Broken cabinet next to the bed which had the odd knife and fork. A coffee machine that definitely had not been descaled or cleaned in months, possibly never! Then to find the kettle was broken and had never clearly been descaled or cleaned. Then to the walldrobe..or not! Not a single place to hang your clothes up. Not even a hanger! Their excuse was a metal rack on the wall..with no hangers or hooks! Then to the bathroom... I have no words! The pictures that we had of this and the room are nothing like the room we had. Pictures tell it all. There was no hot water Sunday or Monday morning when leaving. I felt dirty from the whole stay. I have never and I really do mean this, NEVER stayed in a hotel like this in my life. 44yrs of it. It is like a slum. Brighton we live and have been going for years. But that now unfortunately has ended the desire to go back. We cancelled our may holiday due to this experience. The carpets were filthy, there was not even a fire alarm anywhere if there was to be a fire on the top floor, in this case we were in room 10 right at the top but not a single alarm or instructions if anything was to go wrong. When approaching them all we had was attitude. What do we want them to do then because she could not accept the fact it was a dump! Then when they was to come and change the bedding, the supervisor was apparently horrified. Not at any point was we offered a refund, only asked if they could find us elsewhere and we agreed but had no call back. Never again will I stay in Brighton. It is a shame but seriously this place has really gone down hill. I feel tired, stressed and needy another break thanks to this horrendous experience.

Room was spotless, comfy bed, love the theme they have for each room. Excellent customer service. Perfect for couple nights anytime. Thank you very much.

So we booked the superior room when booking we were asked if we wanted a king bed or two singles we selected king once we arrived there were two twin beds they said they would correct this but didn’t come until midday the next day also the shower was freezing cold , there was mould in the room and dust everywhere the coffee machine was leaking the cups the cups hadn’t been cleaned and the fridge was warm this is not what we expected from paying extra for an upgraded room I would dread to think what the cheaper rooms looked like

The location was brilliant, bang smack in the middle of everything. The bathroom was very clean as were the sheets and towels. The fridge, microwave, delf and cutlery were good to have since there is no food facility in the hotel. The sweets, eye masks and ear plugs were a nice touch. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable and the amount of dust on the faux plant walls was crazy and I was fearful of breathing it in. It was also quite noisy but that’s just because of the location and it didn’t bother me but it might bother someone else. Overall the hotel was perfect for what I needed which was a clean place to sleep and bathe in a very central location.

Overall very positive! Right next to seafront, stylish room, clean, tidy, nice bathroom, cozy bed- best sleep I’ve had in years! Only negatives would be trouble finding parking nearby, could only find overnight stay car park which cost £25 unfortunately, as well as loud surroundings all night on a weekday but understandabley so, it’s a busy city. So the negatives were just location-based, not to do with the hotel itself. Very pleased and would definitely stay again if visiting Brighton.

Hotel was in a very good location, right on the seafront, and also very close to the lanes. Communication about the code for the front door and our room was prompt. We stayed in room 6, was small but enough for a couple. Bed was comfy, and room came with a microwave, kettle, tea and coffee, and a fridge. Shower room was quite small with not a whole lot of storage space. The bathroom door also did not latch/close properly which was concerning and also the bathroom lights appeared to be on a motion sensor, which meant that the lights would go out mid shower and my partner would have to activate them again. Bathroom door and lights would have to be my only faults of the room. Hotel is located in a busy area, especially on a weekend but we knew this going in and then hotel supplied sleep masks and ear plugs. Luckily we're both deep sleepers so weren't disturbed much at all during our trip and slept very well.

Very nice overnight stay here. The digital entry system was simple to use and on entering our room we were impressed with the trendy decor and the use of the limited space to include a table and chairs, small fridge and microwave. A good supply of tea, biscuits and coffee pods for the coffee machine. Everywhere was very clean and the shower was a joy with plentiful hot water. The only drawback we found was the bathroom door. There was no lock and the door did not appear to close properly, limiting privacy. Location fantastic. Can be a bit noisy due to the central location but this was addressed perfectly with eye masks and ear plugs supplied. All in all, a very nice stay and an even better price.

High hopes but this feel quite short in a number of ways. From the photos the room looked lovely and this did match up. However it did become apparent that aesthetics have been prioritised over other aspects. The pub/club opposite was still incredibly noisy at 2am (on a Tuesday) with the windows doing nothing to muffle the noise. There was fast food rubbish found next to one of the beds from a previous occupant, and this was quite a large wrapper that would have been difficult to miss during cleaning. Communication around bed preference was not good at all, I had specifically asked for a king (and have the evidence of this in my booking details) yet on arrival twin beds were set up. When I raised this with the company, there was no offer of rectifying this, instead I was told more than once that this had been the request. To add insult to injury, our neighbours in the room next door invited some friends to their room and it seemed they were having their own party at 3am with shouting, giggling and loud music and more than 5 in the one room. We knocked on the door in the end to request some quiet as, with the club outside, we were completely surrounded by noise. One small plus point that, once we managed to get to sleep, the bed (albeit the twin I hadn’t requested) was very comfortable.

Clean, tidy and very friendly staff, pizza I had was beautiful. Very nice. Atmosphere was homely and comfortable

Wandered in after looking at the menu on my way by, they had bread sticks and cheese. Seated quickly by pleasant attentive staff. Asked about a new wine on the menu and was offered a sample and it arrived in a cute little sample wine glass. It matched the large, funky, chunky wine glass they serve in, nice touch. Decorated nicely for the holidays and seemed quite lively even though I arrived an hour before closing. Food was good, bread sticks and cheese were amazing! Just what I was looking for.

Food was incredible!!!! Would go again.

However did not give the full 5 star due to staff not paying that much attention. Seemed friendly enough.

Fully enjoyed the good after a long day in Brighton. The food was so nice and tasty and the price was spot on. We went Jamie's the day before and I'd suggest this as being better.

First time visiting and Ask Italian and the first time visiting Brighton with my partner.

The food was excellent, everything came out sizzling and smelling/looking great as you'd expect. Everything tasted divine and was far better than most Italian eateries we have visited thus far.

However, this whole experience was let down majorly by the service we received - nobody came and checked back on us to see how the food was or to offer us another drink, if they had done I probably would have had another 1/2 drinks.

Nobody collected our plates at the end, or offered us the bill, we had to go up to the till point at the end of the meal to pay.

I would understand to an extent if it was busy, but we were one of 3 tables, and there were 2 staff members on shift - one of which who was visibly on his phone fairly often throughout our meal.

Shame really, would have been a perfect visit if we had competent waiting staff.

There are an estimated 5 thousand Subway shops in Brighton alone. What makes this one so special?... Uhm, go to whichever's closest really.

Yet another lunchtime lovely selection of fresh cooked food. Friendly staff who keep your table clear and clean. Very good value

This is a really good place to eat especially if you're in a group, the staff are very friendly and accommodating and always happy. The food is excellent quality and plentiful with a wide variety of Chinese, Indian and English food. The sushi bar is top quality and the desserts are awesome especially the chocolate fountains ... marshmallows and chocolate are great. The menu is different for lunch and dinner and at these prices you could afford to do both, if you can eat that much .... for the cost of eating there you need to eat seven plates of food to cover the cost ... it's possible but you can't move afterwards ?, highly recommended place and a must if you're in Brighton for the day
15.12.2017 Tyler
Days has wheelchair accessibility and has a wide variety of choices for an all you can eat buffet. There is a big choice on vegetarian but not so much on vegan options.
It varies day to day what there can be and there is more choice in the evening then there is at lunch time but for £14 after 5pm it is really worth it.
Sometimes they don't label the food correctly and you need to be careful with that , especially if you have allergies.
The food is really good though

Very friendly And welcoming staff, massive choice of tasty foods and a clean environment

I have been in this restaurant many times. If you plan to go there for a first time I would recommend you to choose a dinner time for more higher food selection. The place is with a lot space with nice look. This is one of the best All you can eat Chinese restaurants I have visited.
