Nice, clean, modern hotel in convenient location. Pool quite small and WiFi didn’t work very well. Everything else perfect
If don’t hangout the tag service later at the door, housekeeper will come to knock the door at 09:30 to clean the room which is too early for me. Sometimes, forgot to put small towels on the table . Need to be members for the room free WiFi. No bottled water supply daily.
Amazing hotel, staff very friendly, rooms are nice. I would return to this hotel when I come back to Brighton. Great location right on the front
I had a great stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole. The service was friendly and professional, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. Overall, a very pleasant experience!
Lovely stay attentive staff shame about the parking and trip.com changing hotel at last minute
The welcoming cookies are warm and delicious! Its extremely beautiful with the seaview room. The breakfast is good but i will suggest to add more veggie salad.

Great location and price. Have stayed several times and usually ok (but basic). Staff not overally friendly or helpful at times. On most recent stay the room was very hot even though it was cold outside and gulls were very noisy sat on the ledge by my window. Usually clean apart from some dust and minor issues. Would recommend for the price
This hotel has a superb location! And that's it.
The hotel is really outdated. Needs refurbishment. Rooms aren't so clean.
I've stayed here alil more than 2 weeks. It was comfortable but the all the interior needs to be renewed!!!
Best "bang for buck" hotel in Brighton. Really friendly and competent staff. I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling on a budget. And the location is unbeatable being right by the lanes, the beach and the pier.
I think I took a step back in time when we visited the Royal Albion. The decor did feel very dated, I don't think the Google photos did that justice. Our first room was left in a poor state (hole in wall, light socket practically dangling off). Cant fault the staff, they were great in moving us and apologetic. The room was spread over two floors with alot of space, and much more modern than the lobby...

Check in time 4.00 pm ...ling waiting though rooms are ready they dont give ....and check out time 12.00 ..if check out 13.00 they want to charge 10 pound extra .
So its our 4 hours waste .first time in whole world i see like this check in 4.00 pm
Very expensive for a property having basic amenities, however the location is convenient which justifies the price
Great location, good-sized room. Room service was good but can be improved.
Room was BIG! An old hotel with very good service, fair enough , price is fair , will back again
Overall it was good. Hotel is showing its age
The hotel is a little bit aged. Service is good and room size is reasonable.

If I hadn't paid more than £200 for one of our nights stay I would have rated higher but frankly the budget feel of the hotel is not reflected in the price. Curtains don't fully close so no black out. Only 2 plug sockets that were miles away from the bed. Bathroom feels like a aeroplane toilet.
Was nice wish there was more for vegans on the breakfast and the price of room for a night was expensive for a solo traveler
Standard accommodation, bit pricey for what you get.Very disappointed with the fact that we were charged per small handbag to store it for just a couple of hours considering we had paid £150 for one night!!!
I stayed there for one night. Asked for a quiet room but the street noise was still really loud since it's facing the main street. But it's so easy to find from the station. I could also hear water hitting the shower floor through the ceiling and the whole facility seems outdated. Bed was comfortable though.
The breakfast was fine. They seem to accommodate people with different diertey requirements...
The hotel was decent and value for money. The breakfast was one of the best you can get for a 3 star hotel.
Very convenient location and staffs are willing to help.

If we book direct to the harbor hotel's website, we can get a free entry to the spa, but since we booked in trip. com, we were charged £10 each by the hotel. Why don't the trip. com make it free for us to use the hotel's spa?
Brighton is a beautiful coastal city with clear water and friendly local residents. Unfortunately, I didn't choose the right hotel this time. The service was cold and the room was very small! The facilities were old! The elevator could only accommodate 2-3 people. The price-performance ratio was too low. If I go to this city again, I will definitely stay at a chain hotel by the sea, which has guaranteed...
Great place to stay
Lovely hotel old hotel with a modern twist. Great Spa facilities and breakfast.
There’s better out there.
I’ve always liked this hotel as it’s quite small and it always felt a little special. But this time I felt very much like just a number, no real welcome or attention given at any point. Deluxe Room (sea view) - whilst bed was very comfortable and bathroom adequate the rest was a little tired and I found it rather lacking. Especially for the price.
Clean, friendly stay and great location!
Very good hotel all round, facilities were excellent. Upgraded room was fantastic. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Modern hotel with bar and cafe. Great staff in reception. Entire stay was very smooth. Great location. Quirky decor and everything you need for a stay of a few nights. Extensive minibar in the compact room. Everything you'd normally expect to find and more.
Weird decor, psychedelic 70s with a touch of Miami Vice seediness (sorry!). Felt like it might need a refresh after initial fitting 10 years ago (guesstimate) but clean and comfy nonetheless. The TV only had 5 channels which is weird by today's standards, and the room was quite chilly, despite trying to turn the heating up to 24 degrees. The shower was great and the bed was very comfy, and the location...
Went for a drink at the bar was a lovely atmosphere, the decoration was amazing! Cocktails were amazing. expensive but lovely. All the staff were friendly and helpful especially Hana and Freddie. Highly recommended.

The staff were very friendly, the room was big, nice bathroom, the beds were comfy, and there was a good breakfast .
Was a nice night away with it only being a short walk to the town centre, along the beach front.
Their is a night club just around the corner and a kebab shop outside the hotel so I didn’t have the best sleep as you could hear everything outside
A stay with my adult daughter for passing her Degree. Her 1st time in Brighton. At a lucky request gave me a partial sea view which was in fact excellent large room, comfy bed a with a gorgeous bay with full view sun. All staff were attentive, friendly and inclusive.
There’s a real charm and nostalgic atmosphere about the old building that is on the beach front enabling Breakfast to see the sea...
Staff members are accommodating and the location is perfect which is beach front. The breakfast was lovely and they have different varieties. My son enjoyed the indoor pool as well since he couldn’t swim in the beach due to the bad weather. Over all, my family had a pleasant stay in this hotel.
The service was beautiful, the vicinity is amazing with the beach Infront of the hotel which makes it splendid with the staffs are all heart warming... It's really a must visit and anyone who visits surely makes it a comeback..
Only one thing ruined my stay the room with street view was opposite 2 club/bars broken sleep both nights but otherwise great stay

Very clean and excellent staff, always smiling and happy to help. Would recommend.
If you drive, it is a suitable hotel with large rooms and bathrooms, clean and tidy. Breakfast is also good, semi-self-service, and you need to leave enough time if you are in a hurry. It is located in a seaside complex east of Brighton, with free parking. It is an hour's drive from the Seven Sisters seaside and 2 hours' drive from Heathrow Airport. The Royal Pavilion in the city center is worth seeing
Cleaning in bathroom needs to be addressed
Found a used plaster in the shower and a large amount of phlegm on top of the shower drain. Other than that everything else was ok
Overall the Malmaison was a nice hotel, but I wa misinformed about the Cra Parking arrangemets.
Being partially deaf, the lady on reception told me to park in the large Car Park next to McDonalds.
I did this but on the Ground Floor.

Nice and clean rooms, slightly compact property, but the staff is very courteous. Good option for a budget stay. Also very near to the Brighton pier.
Stayed for one night, booked it as we were driving down, staff were very friendly and helped with information about parking. Room was lovely especially for the price with a modern bathroom! Definitely would recommend and will be returning if we are back in Brighton anytime soon.

Moderately priced seafront hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast lounge has a nice view of the sea. I stayed in a single room, which was adequately sized. As a plus-sized person, the shower entrance was a tight squeeze. The hotel is clean and well maintained. I've stayed here a number of times and will probably stay here again.
The stars I've awarded this hotel are based on the price of the accommodation and the level of quality expected of a three star hotel.
I stayed in November in a freshly decorated en-suite single room, which featured a bath in the bathroom (with shower and complimentary shower gel and liquid hand soap), tea and coffee, a television, and wardrobe. The bed was comfortable and there was an additional...
The hotel staff were polite and respectful and the room, although small, had everything required: a double bed, desk, TV on an adjustable arm, kettle, wardrobe, and washroom with a bath. Only downside is that the walls are a tad thin, leading to murmurs (& more) of neighbours being heard in the evening, despite the constant sound of wind outside. Everything was clean and tidy. They also have an option...

This hotels frontage echo’s bygone splendour and is perfectly situated on the sea front. However, the hotel is ready for refurb and I certainly wouldn’t stay in the annex again (that’s the bit at the back without a sea view). Out room 254 was not what I expect from a Mercure - we had 2 extra single beds and a tatty sofa chair in our higgledy-piggledy “double” room!
However, the staff were excellent...
Well located hotel at Brighton and Hove Seafront. Attentive staff, friendly, while checking in. Unfortunately building & rooms are quite old.
Great location, room very clean, good customer service would of given it 5/5 till the last day when one of the staff walked into our room early morning when we were asleep which was unacceptable and then couple of hours later an hour before check out we had another member of staff knocking on the door.
Lovely little gem of a hotel not far from the old pier. Staff are extremely nice friendly and helpful. Lovely bar and seating with buffet breakfast.

Nice traditional seat front Hotel. Limited Parking available at the front in small bays and is quite expensive but seems to be standard price for Brighton. Room was quite big but squeeky floorboards. Downstairs bar overlooks sea but noticed the roof in that area has a leak which was also a problem at my last stay 2 years before - suspect it may not have been repaired!
The hotel as a whole is a little dated, although the room was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast was a shambles, apparently somebody had called in sick but I failed to see how one extra pair of hands could have fixed the disastrous attempt to serve anyone. The food when it did arrive was nice though, so perhaps I am judging it a little harshly. Location wise it's pretty perfect...
For a 3* hotel I was pleasantly surprised. Although an older property with some uneven flooring it was presented well. Neat and tidy and clean. Comfortable bed and a great view of the seafront. Amenities were good. Staff were pleasant. I would stay here again.
Amazing hotel for a family stay. The hotel feels very homey and the staff are super friendly. We stayed with a toddler and everyone was extremely nice, they interacted with him and by the time we left our kiddo had a bunch of friends there. We are definitely coming back. Best hotel ever!
I absolutely love this hotel, it's my favourite place to stay. It's so quirky and cool. The staff are all amazing, the rooms are always spotless. Breakfast is delicous and the bar offers a great selection. I love how eco friendly they are too. 10/10, I'd recommend this place to anyone!
Knockout stay
Lovely themed room with complimentary Curly-Wurly. I was in the "Ali" room, complete with boxing gloves and fight posters everywhere. And it was so comfortable I slept like I'd been knocked out.

Dont listen to the reviews stayed in way worse places given better ratings. Check in is easy if you can follow basic instructions. Rooms clean and tidy and everything you need for a budget hotel in a great location in Brighton. Tim the housekeeper was so lovely and helpful and made sure we felt welcomed and at home and works very hard to make sure you have the best stay.
The extractor of the bathroom did not work from the very beginning and no maintenance had been arranged.
One of the towels was dirty and with visible dirt.
Great location. Warm and Clean. Free WiFi. Room itself was spacious. Bathroom was old and needs an update. A bit creaky as could hear other guests from their rooms. Overall a pleasant stay and great value for money.
Very friendly, decent room, good shower. Near the embankment. Free parking in a multi-storey building nearby

Had a 2 night stay at this hotel.Staff lovely especially the lady who served the breakfasts.Room was quite small and dark and ensuite could have been a bit cleaner in corners of floor, sink and shower head.
Peaceful, comfortable and clean
It was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had a great night's sleep.
I didn't have need of parking or a high chair so these questions in the review were irrelevant and there wasn't an N/A option.
Lovely staff, we arrived late in evening & they were very helpful. Only a quick overnight stay but bed was super comfy & a lovely continental breakfast. Good location.

For the money paid this was adequate. One or two nights in the small twin room is all I could manage as it is so small with no storage space only a narrow shelf and small desk with the tea facilities on. The hotel is a house that turn to different room. More likely to describe as Airbnb or hostel then hotel. The location is good and near the Beach.
The room was small but had everything you could wish for. Tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, 2 irons, small fridge, etc. the heating was a little too warm for us but not too much. Lovely as you are almost in the centre of Brighton, close to the seafront so not too much walking to get where you want to go.

It was perfect for our stay and close to the beach etc.
High hopes but this feel quite short in a number of ways. From the photos the room looked lovely and this did match up. However it did become apparent that aesthetics have been prioritised over other aspects. The pub/club opposite was still incredibly noisy at 2am (on a Tuesday) with the windows doing nothing to muffle the noise. There was fast food rubbish found next to one of the beds from a previous...
The sofa is horrendous it’s a bean bag sofa very low to the floor and ridiculous for 6 people! The stairs leading down to the room are very steep. There are no windows at all so very stuffy. The cleanliness wasn’t great as alot of dust.
Great location but aging flat
Great location near the beach.
Enough space for 5 adults and 1 child.
We were in the basement room, stairs are scaring.
Rest was well decorated.
Toilett was dirty and aging.
Great property location, very clean comfortable room, easy access.
We'd try elsewhere first, but would stay again.
Not the cleanest place. When we checked in to our room there were sequins and pastry crumbs on the floor, and the bathroom door handle was sticky. There was also black mildew on the shower ceiling, and the sink and cabinet needed some repairs. I have stayed in the Leonardo Hotels chain in various cities in England. Brighton, in particular, is located just opposite the train station, which is easy to access for travel and parking.
