I recently stayed at this hotel to celebrate my 40th birthday and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made me feel very welcome, and the check-in team kindly offered complimentary drinks for my son and me.
I was delighted to find a bottle of red wine and a lovely birthday card waiting in the room, which made the celebration extra special. The room was beautiful with a...
Stayed here on numerous occasions and it is called the Grand for a reason..
Rooms are stunning and the service is great too but it’s the location of the hotel itself..
Perfect hotel! My room on the 7th floor was spacious with modern amenities. It had three windows facing the sea, ideal for anyone who loves just staying in and gazing at the ocean (like me, haha). Breakfast was a standard English breakfast; I recommend trying the omelets. The staff were very welcoming, always greeting guests and offering help. On check-in day, it was raining, so I asked to check in...
Very impressed by all the staff at the Grand - fthe consieriege, receptionists, bar and restaurant staff. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. Would certainly recommend
The room is fully equipped, comfortable, cozy, and luxurious, with excellent cleanliness. Snacks are well-stocked, and it offers a great sea view. Breakfast is rich and varied, with plenty of choices.
The sea view from the room was magnificent, though the isolation from wind and sounds not the best. The pillows can be improved. The staff were the best, very professional and friendly. We enjoyed our stay, I would definitely come back.

We stayed for a night and we got a very good costumer service from Eric at the reception.
Everything was perfect except the check-in time. 4 pm, even if it’s written in the ad, is NOT acceptable. Everybody should refuse that. It’s too late. No hotel in the world should allow you to check in so late.
Good location
Lovely hotel
We had a queen size room which was cozy but big enough
Decorated lovely
Didn’t seem to hear much noise during the night
Downsides
-No mini fridge in room
-Only one towel hook in bathroom for wet towels
-Only seemed to be shared changing areas for swimming pool -one for males one for females- I feel a couple of private changing rooms could be added for privacy
The most uncomfortable sleep of my entire life, the mattress caused me back pain
The room was modern and clean and the staff were friendly but the best bit about this hotel is the location - on the seafront and close to shops bars and restaurants.
The spa area was a bit disappointing, it’s more a leisure centre and very busy when we visited so don’t expect too much relaxation as there are not even loungers to sit/lie on.
We didn’t eat breakfast in the hotel as there are many great...
Absolutely amazing hotel and staff, could not fault at all! It was mums 60th birthday who I came with and the staff had sorted 2 drinks vouchers to use in the bar and we came back into the room with a slice of cake with a birthday note! Honestly so perfect and it being right on the seafront is stunning too :)

Service was superb, staff extremely helpful and accommodating. Very close to station and plenty of shops around for food and amenities, abit of a walk to the seafront and attractions but overall, good location. Highly recommended!
Good location, very close to Brighton Station. Breakfast is good
A lovely clean hotel with great amenities, ideal location for travelling being close to the station.
The staff were wonderful, so helpful at all times.
A lovely stay and we will be back!
Really lovely stay, they checked us in a little early and helped with a delivery which was so useful. The room was really nice, comfortable beds.
We even had a warm welcome from one of the locals when we got to the room 😉
Location very convenient but you don’t notice any notice from the station. Easy to walk to all the main spots
Comfortable stay. Reception was helpful and breakfast was amazing. suitable for families.
We stayed for 4 night to watch the football!
We always have a brilliant time, it’s the perfect location as you are 2 minutes near the train station! Rooms are lovely & staff are lovely too!

I really enjoyed my stay and the hotel was in very good location , hotel was lovely and the massive selling point is the pool and spa , excellent facilities and friendly staff
Only downside was the breakfast didn’t provide many vegan or allergen friendly items and that the heating wasn’t very regulated and felt a little ill front being too overheated in the room and no ventilation
That being said...
Breakfast was AMAZING , room was super clean and tidy only thing is the window doesn’t open.
Overall, it's a very new hotel, and it even has a sauna and a pool. They're a bit small, but perfect for a quick dip or relaxation.
Great hotel at a convenient location. Rooms were big, comfortable and clean and staff were friendly.
Hotel is nice however rooms could be cleaner, smell wasn’t great in room. Cost of parking is outrageous so won’t be staying again unfortunately.
This hotel was by far the most disappointing during my trip around London. I specifically requested a quiet room when booking, but they still gave me one on the top floor, right under the air conditioning units. The noise was very loud and disturbed my sleep. On top of that, the hotel staff had a terrible attitude – unhelpful, unenthusiastic, and didn't try to solve any problems. I have to give a bad...

Paid too much for hotel. I stayed for two days with my girl friend I paid 190£ . Old rooms , no heater , no view from room .
I dont recommend in winter because no heaters in the hotel .
Last minute visit to Brighton & needed an overnight stay. The Holiday Inn is ideal as it is in a great location overlooking the beach and walking distance to shops & restaurants. There is parking available under the hotel which is also a must as parking is scarce in Brighton.
Staff are friendly & helpful.
My room was clean & my bed was very comfortable.
On this occasion I didn't have breakfast but...
Very nice clean quite hotel just by the sea with lots of shops and a small walk to the centre
The hotel is in good location. The staff are friendly. Breakfast is nice.
The hotels in a good location on the seafront, it was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Room was good for the price, nothing exciting but perfectly fine for us.
We had a very pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn Brighton. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, and housekeeping refreshed it every day, which we really appreciated. The service was outstanding — the staff genuinely make an effort to ensure their guests are comfortable and well looked after.

The lift and stairs are not very easy to use, the location is very good, and the service is also warm and good. The ventilation is very loud, others are very good.
Hotel reception and bar were lovely, the room was well decorated but had cold and old windows, and the carpets in the hallway were very worn. Had a meal in the hotel which was god but not amazing.
Nice view, nice breakfast and near Brighton Marathon's start and finish point~
Mercure Seafront Brighton...
My friend and I had a twin room on the second floor which no, didnt have a great view (they do not provide twin seaview rooms) but for the time we were in the room it was adequate. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was great.
This is a great Hotel right on sea front , easy walking distance to Town Centre. Quirky interesting entrance lobby and bar . Staff friendly and well presented . I was travelling on my own and had room only . This was spotless and comfortable , good temperature , comfy bed. I have stayed some years ago and breakfast was good. I would recommend and will definitely stay again as very good value .

The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a short stay. The bed was especially cozy, and the space was well-organized. Although the room wasn’t very large, it felt practical and suitable for a solo traveler or a couple.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always ready to assist with any questions. Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth.

Practical room space. Wider than expected.
Location is excellent! A bit noise from the window facing the main street
Daily cleaning room service is a plus
Value price!
Less than a minute walk from Brighton train station, making this very practical if you’re in town for a short trip. The rooms are spacious and clean. Very helpful staff and they have a left luggage service as well as late night check in. All this makes it a great choice at an affordable price.
Great location, 1 min walk from the train station, bus stop to Seven sister. You can take 12A or 12X to Seven Sisters.
The hotel was right by the train station so easy to drop off luggage then head out and leave our luggage there when we checked out as we had a few hours before our train home. We had an issue with our room and the staff were so very helpful could not do enough. They could not move us but offered a one night refund, breakfast free of charge. We felt like royalty. Big thanks to staff members Gracjan...
Everything was convenient, and check-in was fast. The location is right next to the train station, perfect for an overnight stay after a late train. There was no water in the room, and only two large towels, one of which was torn. No adapters for local outlets, so charging a phone was difficult but possible. Away from the crowds but easy walk in to town
Thank you Sandra!
Sandra the landlady is always very welcoming and a great host. Rooms are always clean, comfortable, spacious with thoughtful extras like plenty of towels and a fan!
I booked this place on the sole basis that it was less than a 15 minute walk from the beach. I live in london and went to attend Bloc Party on the beach in Brighton for one night. Before my stay I had some backwards and forwards with them advising early check in for 12:00-1300 which meant I left london Early to avoid any issues with checking in. I arrived at 11:50 to be told I was “too early” but...
Great location staff were very helpful
For the price we paid it was excellent. Location wise perfect. On a hot summers day the room could get warm but staff provided a fan which was very much appreciated.
I had a wonderful four-night stay at the Hudson Hotel. The room was spacious and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including an en suite bathroom, a hairdryer, and a TV. It was nice to have daily refreshed water bottles, along with plenty of tea and coffee. The host, Sandra, was incredibly kind and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place!
It was fine considering we only were staying for 1 night where we had been out drinking late. Room was clean but not the best in terms of comfort. Bathroom was clean but crowded as it was very small. Closet contained coathangers and a steamer. Coffee and tea with kettle in room. The hotel was clean itself it just was crammed and not very well presented. Decoration was abit mismatched. Excellent. Exceeded expectations. Friendly staff. Great cocktails! Loved it!
A great stay at one of our favourite hotels in Brighton. Staff are so friendly helpful and welcoming. Nice touches like curly wurly chocolate with the tea and cofffee and very quirky and unusual. Great location too.
First, and foremost, the staff are exceptional, as they can often make or break a stay. The hotel is very nice. We stayed in Room 8, the “Pin-Up” room and had an ocean view. It was nicely sized, comfortable, and clean. Nice down comforter and pillows. Breakfast is wonderful … lots of options. It’s on our “stay again” list.
Fantastic hotel central location with quirky rooms to make the weekend awesome
We stayed in the best room with a double bath and huge bed. And a cheeky ******** pole ;)
A real gem
What a wonderful eclectic hotel with a strong punk/ sex positive vibe.
If you are looking for a 'normal' experience don't go. If you want something truly special where every item of decoration feels perfect in place. Where the staff are genuinely friendly and warm and treat you truly as guests I could not recommend more strongly.
Very unique! Great hotel, great room, lovely staff, fab breakfast and amazing cocktails. Would definitely come back here.

I have been at the Queens a few times and still love the place - rooms are always clean and they give excellent customer service as always.
For the price, this hotel exceeded my expectations. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, and a great location. It’s the perfect choice if you want comfort without overspending.
The staff were very friendly, the room was big, nice bathroom, the beds were comfy, and there was a good breakfast .
Was a nice night away with it only being a short walk to the town centre, along the beach front.
Their is a night club just around the corner and a kebab shop outside the hotel so I didn’t have the best sleep as you could hear everything outside
A stay with my adult daughter for passing her Degree. Her 1st time in Brighton. At a lucky request gave me a partial sea view which was in fact excellent large room, comfy bed a with a gorgeous bay with full view sun. All staff were attentive, friendly and inclusive.
There’s a real charm and nostalgic atmosphere about the old building that is on the beach front enabling Breakfast to see the sea...
Staff members are accommodating and the location is perfect which is beach front. The breakfast was lovely and they have different varieties. My son enjoyed the indoor pool as well since he couldn’t swim in the beach due to the bad weather. Over all, my family had a pleasant stay in this hotel.

Broken hydropool - so not best value for money. And sauna slots with limited time.

If we book direct to the harbor hotel's website, we can get a free entry to the spa, but since we booked in trip. com, we were charged £10 each by the hotel. Why don't the trip. com make it free for us to use the hotel's spa?
Brighton is a beautiful coastal city with clear water and friendly local residents. Unfortunately, I didn't choose the right hotel this time. The service was cold and the room was very small! Nice hotel in a good location. Great for free parking which is very rare to find in Brighton. £13 for an Uber into town or a nice 30 minute walk along the seafront. Would definitely stay again.
We had a lovely stay, starting with a warm welcome from the young lady at the desk. We decided to get sandwiches from the bar menu for a late lunch which were really tasty, reasonably priced and of generous size. We had a large, comfortable, quiet room, which meant we slept really well. Overall, another perfect stay. Thank you Malmaison.
The room was spotless and very comfortable . The restaurant was excellent and the staff very helpful

We got upgraded to a better room for 15£ upon arrival, service is amazing and the room was very clean
Stay was lovely until I got talked to rudely and dismissively by the barman. Spoiled a lovely stay. Rest of staff were very nice, esp reception.
First room we were allocated was freezing and had only 2 small plug in radiators for us to try and warm the room up. However the receptionist kindly found us another room of the same standard but which was far nicer (& warmer)!
Fantastic Staff Team.
They went our of their way to ensure they were able to provide one of our small requests, All done with a Smile. We cant thank them enough.

I'm actually happy to give the Preston Park Hotel a 5 star rating. I found absolutely nothing negative in my stay. There is ample parking on site. I'm guessing the bed had a good quality memory foam mattress, because the bed was wonderfully comfortable...
Our bath water running was ok but shower wasn’t working properly, staffs from the reception and breakfast were very friendly. We been there third times and nice to see them again. We will come back again maybe in the spring or summer.
Room was ok, could do with upgrade but was clean. Staff at the breakfast were great! Greeted us with a smile, offered drinks and were very polite.
Tired hotel, hard pillows/mattress, tepid breakfast, low water pressure in the shower - didn't sleep well at all really but it's fine for a stopover.
Had to wait around for 10/15 minutes to get checked in - as there was only one member of staff running the bar and reception (?).
For the price, especially in Brighton, you can’t really complain. It’s not great but it’s not bad either. Breakfast ok. Clean room. Stayed here before and would do again.
Mostly good (and much improved)
The carpark is much improved with free parking (and more space than there used to be).

Excellent small beauty hotel. Location is great for Brighton as you are only a short walk or an even shorter Uber ride from all the madness of Brighton. Lovely breakfast each morning and great pubs cafés and bars only a short stroll away. Our room was huge and tastefully decorated. All of the walls are covered in gorgeous artwork many of which are for sale. It’s like staying in your art gallery!
Friendly staff, great room, wonderful breakfast and fabulous bed! Perfect for our recent trip away 👍
Clean room very quiet free earplugs a nice touch but didn’t need them. Great staff. Breakfast ok.
A hidden gem in Brighton!
If you want a cosy and personal hotel which doesn't feel like the usual chains, The Claremont should be on your list.

Pros: Location and room size were nice with two rooms and a bathroom for a family of 4 (1a 3c). Staff were lovely. Cons: Room seemingly was not thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. Shower was hard to handle. Toilet was hard to flush.
Had a good stay at this hotel I'd give it 4 stars. The room was clean and tidy and the staff were fairly nice. It was pretty good value for money in my opinion and I'd use the service again. The pillows and the bed were comfortable enough and I had coffee ready to go in the morning
Decent Hotel close to the beach

Lovely quaint hotel within an old regency building. Decoration and furniture a bit tired but went with the overall feel of the hotel. We had a work conference here for 1 night. The staff were amazing and very helpful though the whole event. The rooms were spacious with lovely decor. Had a partial sea view, which was amazing to see during the day.
Nice traditional seat front Hotel. Limited Parking available at the front in small bays and is quite expensive but seems to be standard price for Brighton. Room was quite big but squeeky floorboards. Downstairs bar overlooks sea but noticed the roof in that area has a leak which was also a problem at my last stay 2 years before - suspect it may not have been repaired!
The hotel as a whole is a little dated, although the room was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast was a shambles, apparently somebody had called in sick but I failed to see how one extra pair of hands could have fixed the disastrous attempt to serve anyone. The food when it did arrive was nice though, so perhaps I am judging it a little harshly. Location wise it's pretty perfect...

Amazing hotel for a family stay. The hotel feels very homey and the staff are super friendly. We stayed with a toddler and everyone was extremely nice, they interacted with him and by the time we left our kiddo had a bunch of friends there. We are definitely coming back. I couldn't get a room at the Ocean Wave Hotel without any explanation. The hotel owner temporarily moved me to a neighboring hotel, which was in a basement. It wasn't very convenient to carry my luggage down the stairs. There were no windows, so the ventilation and lighting were poor.
Room was spacious, bed was super comfy, street was quiet. There are very few things I could mention as everything was really good. I decided not to drive and took the train. Glad I did - traffic and parking in Brighton is a nightmare. Would be happy to book again if I come to Brighton.
