Less than a minute walk from Brighton train station, making this very practical if you’re in town for a short trip. The rooms are spacious and clean. Very helpful staff and they have a left luggage service as well as late night check in. All this makes it a great choice at an affordable price.

The hotel was right by the train station so easy to drop off luggage then head out and leave our luggage there when we checked out as we had a few hours before our train home. Mercure Seafront Brighton... My friend and I had a twin room on the second floor which no, didnt have a great view (they do not provide twin seaview rooms) but for the time we were in the room it was adequate. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was great.

This is a great Hotel right on sea front , easy walking distance to Town Centre. Quirky interesting entrance lobby and bar . Staff friendly and well presented . Staff members are accommodating and the location is perfect which is beach front. The breakfast was lovely and they have different varieties. My son enjoyed the indoor pool as well since he couldn’t swim in the beach due to the bad weather. Over all, my family had a pleasant stay in this hotel.

The room was very tiny, with limited space everywhere. The bed was clean, the location was near the beach, and the staff was friendly. Finding parking was a bit of a hit-or-miss experience. The entire trip was a positive experience. Thank you!

Great location. Basic but cosy room. Problems when we arrived - Toilet has been used and not flushed. Bathroom door handle didn’t work so bathroom door couldn’t be closed. Shelf in the bathroom cabinet fell off when I opened it. Later that day I also reported toilet being blocked. Toilet was unblocked however none of the other issues were fixed during our stay. I'm actually happy to give the Preston Park Hotel a 5 star rating. I found absolutely nothing negative in my stay. There is ample parking on site. Our bath water running was ok but shower wasn’t working properly, staffs from the reception and breakfast were very friendly. We been there third times and nice to see them again. We will come back again maybe in the spring or summer.

The hotel rooms need a lot of TLC. Mould in the bathroom ceiling, badly installed appliances, chipped and scraped walls, door of the toilet didn’t shut properly, and the worst of all, toilet roll locked behind a key lock which meant that when the dispenser became empty during the night we didn’t have any toilet paper in. A lovely sized room with nice bathroom, very clean and comfortable. Beach is just a stone throw away and plenty of shops nearby. Extremely friendly staff and made sure I had everything I needed! Very highly recommended! :)

Wasn't a hotel, sadly more a run down guest house. Our room was SO small, nowhere to store any luggage or move freely. When we asked for a fan we were told we can "go and buy one ourselves". Although I booked a sea view hotel, I didn't see the sea view. The sea is next to it, and there are supermarkets and fast food restaurants nearby. The boss was very welcoming, but the breakfast time was at 9:00 am, which was too late for me. I left Brighton and returned to London without enjoying breakfast.

I booked this place on the sole basis that it was less than a 15 minute walk from the beach. I live in london and went to attend Bloc Party on the beach in Brighton for one night. Before my stay I had some backwards and forwards with them advising early check in for 12:00-1300 which meant I left london Early to avoid any issues with checking in. I had a wonderful four-night stay at the Hudson Hotel. The room was spacious and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including an en suite bathroom, a hairdryer, and a TV. Shower would flood immediately. The windows weren’t screwed properly so when there was wind it would always make a creek annoying noise. Sound proof is not great and you can hear everything from outside and other rooms.

Nice clean room, the top floor is quite a climb and very narrow so not great for young kids but other wise a great simple stay.

The location of the hotel is extraordinary, seafront in front of two attractions (i360 and upside down house) and a few minutes from the center The first visual impression of the hotel was disappointing. Lady at reception was nice but a bit standoffish. Room was freezing when we arrived. Although being on the top floor, we were kept awake by the nightclub and people leaving at 4am. Then when that ended, we were kept awake until 6am with loud, bass music. When booking the nightclub isn’t stated as being open until 4am. Really disappointed and not worth the money paid.

I stayed here with my girlfriend over valentines, the staff where amazing so helpful and friendly, our room was the Beardsley we enjoyed the decor and the huge bath tub big enough to two people easily. There was a great choice of breakfast (we are vegetarians) fry up and pancakes where delicious. We would certainly stay again! Terrific value for money, thank you!

I arrived 5hrs early and the manager let me book in free of charge. The room was spot on,clean with lots of free coffee/Tea,towels and a great sea view.5mins from town centre.Very good local transport links. Bed was extremely comfortable. Dont listen to the reviews stayed in way worse places given better ratings. Check in is easy if you can follow basic instructions. Rooms clean and tidy and everything you need for a budget hotel in a great location in Brighton. Tim the housekeeper was so lovely and helpful and made sure we felt welcomed and at home and works very hard to make sure you have the best stay.

The extractor of the bathroom did not work from the very beginning and no maintenance had been arranged. One of the towels was dirty and with visible dirt.

We had a lovely stay at the Aquarium Guest House. The owners are very friendly and have refurbished the property to a high standard. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, with a modern en suite shower room. A large bow-style window has a view down to the sea, and all restaurants and amenities in close proximity.
