The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a short stay. The bed was especially cozy, and the space was well-organized. Although the room wasn’t very large, it felt practical and suitable for a solo traveler or a couple.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always ready to assist with any questions. Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth.

Practical room space. Wider than expected.
Location is excellent! A bit noise from the window facing the main street
Daily cleaning room service is a plus
Value price!
Less than a minute walk from Brighton train station, making this very practical if you’re in town for a short trip. The rooms are spacious and clean. Very helpful staff and they have a left luggage service as well as late night check in. All this makes it a great choice at an affordable price.
Great location, 1 min walk from the train station, bus stop to Seven sister. You can take 12A or 12X to Seven Sisters.
The hotel was right by the train station so easy to drop off luggage then head out and leave our luggage there when we checked out as we had a few hours before our train home. We had an issue with our room and the staff were so very helpful could not do enough. They could not move us but offered a one night refund, breakfast free of charge. We felt like royalty. Big thanks to staff members Gracjan...
Everything was convenient, and check-in was fast. The location is right next to the train station, perfect for an overnight stay after a late train. There was no water in the room, and only two large towels, one of which was torn. No adapters for local outlets, so charging a phone was difficult but possible. There was street noise from the windows, so earplugs are a must. Otherwise, everything was...

The lift and stairs are not very easy to use, the location is very good, and the service is also warm and good. The ventilation is very loud, others are very good.
Hotel reception and bar were lovely, the room was well decorated but had cold and old windows, and the carpets in the hallway were very worn. Had a meal in the hotel which was god but not amazing.
Nice view, nice breakfast and near Brighton Marathon's start and finish point~
Mercure Seafront Brighton...
My friend and I had a twin room on the second floor which no, didnt have a great view (they do not provide twin seaview rooms) but for the time we were in the room it was adequate. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was great.
This is a great Hotel right on sea front , easy walking distance to Town Centre. Quirky interesting entrance lobby and bar . Staff friendly and well presented . I was travelling on my own and had room only . This was spotless and comfortable , good temperature , comfy bed. I have stayed some years ago and breakfast was good. I would recommend and will definitely stay again as very good value .
Booked this for a night drinking with friends. Lovely hotel. Clean and friendly staff and a great bar

I have been at the Queens a few times and still love the place - rooms are always clean and they give excellent customer service as always.
For the price, this hotel exceeded my expectations. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, and a great location. It’s the perfect choice if you want comfort without overspending.
The staff were very friendly, the room was big, nice bathroom, the beds were comfy, and there was a good breakfast .
Was a nice night away with it only being a short walk to the town centre, along the beach front.
Their is a night club just around the corner and a kebab shop outside the hotel so I didn’t have the best sleep as you could hear everything outside
A stay with my adult daughter for passing her Degree. Her 1st time in Brighton. At a lucky request gave me a partial sea view which was in fact excellent large room, comfy bed a with a gorgeous bay with full view sun. All staff were attentive, friendly and inclusive.
There’s a real charm and nostalgic atmosphere about the old building that is on the beach front enabling Breakfast to see the sea...
Staff members are accommodating and the location is perfect which is beach front. The breakfast was lovely and they have different varieties. My son enjoyed the indoor pool as well since he couldn’t swim in the beach due to the bad weather. Over all, my family had a pleasant stay in this hotel.

The room was very tiny, with limited space everywhere. The bed was clean, the location was near the beach, and the staff was friendly. Finding parking was a bit of a hit-or-miss experience. The entire trip was a positive experience. Thank you!
Very nice place good price and a comfy bed me y thanks to the staff for being so friendly
Simpel, friendly, clean and a very fair price.
Great location. Basic but cosy room.
Problems when we arrived - Toilet has been used and not flushed. Bathroom door handle didn’t work so bathroom door couldn’t be closed. Shelf in the bathroom cabinet fell off when I opened it. Later that day I also reported toilet being blocked. Toilet was unblocked however none of the other issues were fixed during our stay. Also bathroom ventilator didn’t work...

I'm actually happy to give the Preston Park Hotel a 5 star rating. I found absolutely nothing negative in my stay. There is ample parking on site. Staff were all amazingly friendly and helpful, and the room was a decent size. More than big enough for myself and my Girlfriend to be comfortable. I'm guessing the bed had a good quality memory foam mattress, because the bed was wonderfully comfortable...
Our bath water running was ok but shower wasn’t working properly, staffs from the reception and breakfast were very friendly. We been there third times and nice to see them again. We will come back again maybe in the spring or summer.
Room was ok, could do with upgrade but was clean. Staff at the breakfast were great! Greeted us with a smile, offered drinks and were very polite.
Tired hotel, hard pillows/mattress, tepid breakfast, low water pressure in the shower - didn't sleep well at all really but it's fine for a stopover.
Had to wait around for 10/15 minutes to get checked in - as there was only one member of staff running the bar and reception (?).
For the price, especially in Brighton, you can’t really complain. It’s not great but it’s not bad either. Breakfast ok. Clean room. Stayed here before and would do again.
Mostly good (and much improved)
The carpark is much improved with free parking (and more space than there used to be).
Reception was friendly and efficient. Corridor was a bit dowdy. I'd booked a single room but was delighted to find a well appointed room with a double bed and a bath. There was a fair selection of teas, coffees and toiletries plus 2 bottles of water. Everything worked as it should...

limited space in the room. bathroom is quite small. okay for a night stay.
This pub is very dated and needs a refurb, we took advantage of the half price roast they were offering on a soft launch, staff lovely on arrival, we went for 1 pork , I chicken, I beef and 1 veggie, pork was sliced loin , prefer belly but it was nice, crackling to hard to eat, potatoes were typical pub potatoes, nice but a few hard ones and not crispy, veg was nice, cauliflower cheese had mustard...
The front desk staff member was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy. One side of the bed was firm, however the other side was extremely soft and uncomfortable.
Clean room, great food , great staff, lovey views. We were on the top floor and ceiling was very low. My 6’3 boyfriend had to crouch to walk around, something to potentially mention in the details.
Popped in on a random visit and had a mixed Sunday Roast beef and Pork roast. WOW! Exceptionally cooked meats and a lovely balance of the Veg. woth great roasties and Yorkshire pudding. What an unexpected surprise! Not many people around and the compelling right thing to do is to help be to get the word out! Wonderful relaxing environment and killer views out to see and lagoon. There may...
The hotel rooms need a lot of TLC. Mould in the bathroom ceiling, badly installed appliances, chipped and scraped walls, door of the toilet didn’t shut properly, and the worst of all, toilet roll locked behind a key lock which meant that when the dispenser became empty during the night we didn’t have any toilet paper in. No staff during the night or toilet rolls to use without the empty dispenser....

A lovely sized room with nice bathroom, very clean and comfortable. Beach is just a stone throw away and plenty of shops nearby. Extremely friendly staff and made sure I had everything I needed! Very highly recommended! :)
Hotel rooms were immaculate. Host is amazing and super friendly. Best value for money I have experienced in the UK so far. Will definately be back.
Lovely room with beautiful views! Felt so comfortable here and had such a warm welcome. Would recommend to anyone looking for a stay in Brighton!
Wasn't a hotel, sadly more a run down guest house. Our room was SO small, nowhere to store any luggage or move freely. When we asked for a fan we were told we can "go and buy one ourselves". There was no ventilation, and we had to scale up multiple levels of stairs, with all our luggage. They are very narrow and difficult to manage, including with torn and loose bits of carpets.

Although I booked a sea view hotel, I didn't see the sea view. The sea is next to it, and there are supermarkets and fast food restaurants nearby. The boss was very welcoming, but the breakfast time was at 9:00 am, which was too late for me. I left Brighton and returned to London without enjoying breakfast.

Away from the crowds but easy walk in to town
Thank you Sandra!
Sandra the landlady is always very welcoming and a great host. Rooms are always clean, comfortable, spacious with thoughtful extras like plenty of towels and a fan!
I booked this place on the sole basis that it was less than a 15 minute walk from the beach. I live in london and went to attend Bloc Party on the beach in Brighton for one night. I arrived at 11:50 to be told I was “too early” but...
Great location staff were very helpful
For the price we paid it was excellent. Location wise perfect. On a hot summers day the room could get warm but staff provided a fan which was very much appreciated.
I had a wonderful four-night stay at the Hudson Hotel. The room was spacious and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including an en suite bathroom, a hairdryer, and a TV. It was nice to have daily refreshed water bottles, along with plenty of tea and coffee. The host, Sandra, was incredibly kind and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place!
It was fine considering we only were staying for 1 night where we had been out drinking late. Room was clean but not the best in terms of comfort. Bathroom was clean but crowded as it was very small. Really good location, pretty close to all the hot spots and the room was nice, clean and comfortable
Good location and clean property.
Shower would flood immediately. The windows weren’t screwed properly so when there was wind it would always make a creek annoying noise. Sound proof is not great and you can hear everything from outside and other rooms.
I think it's pretty cheap for the area.
Nice clean room, the top floor is quite a climb and very narrow so not great for young kids but other wise a great simple stay.
The only inconvenience was that there was no toilet in the room. Other than that, it was average.

We had a work conference here for 1 night. The staff were amazing and very helpful though the whole event. The rooms were spacious with lovely decor. Had a partial sea view, which was amazing to see during the day.
Nice traditional seat front Hotel. Limited Parking available at the front in small bays and is quite expensive but seems to be standard price for Brighton. Room was quite big but squeeky floorboards. Downstairs bar overlooks sea but noticed the roof in that area has a leak which was also a problem at my last stay 2 years before - suspect it may not have been repaired!
The hotel as a whole is a little dated, although the room was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast was a shambles, apparently somebody had called in sick but I failed to see how one extra pair of hands could have fixed the disastrous attempt to serve anyone. The food when it did arrive was nice though, so perhaps I am judging it a little harshly. Location wise it's pretty perfect...
For a 3* hotel I was pleasantly surprised. Although an older property with some uneven flooring it was presented well. Neat and tidy and clean. Comfortable bed and a great view of the seafront. Amenities were good. Staff were pleasant. I would stay here again.
Amazing hotel for a family stay. The hotel feels very homey and the staff are super friendly. We stayed with a toddler and everyone was extremely nice, they interacted with him and by the time we left our kiddo had a bunch of friends there. We are definitely coming back. Take a king size room for extra comfort, normal double is to spend the night and nothing more. The location is great - right on the...
You get what you pay for and we were very happy with our room. We had a great sea view and decent size room. Staff were friendly and place is clean, the bar downstairs looks smart but we were there with the kids and didn't get a chance to use it! Good location friendly staff. Good.price would stay again
The location of the hotel is extraordinary, seafront in front of two attractions (i360 and upside down house) and a few minutes from the center The first visual impression of the hotel was disappointing. One area was run-down and made me think the hotel was closed and abandoned. The room, on the other hand, was spacious and tidy. cleaning could be improved
Good hotel and great location.
Some of the corridors smelt like urine and had a very unpleasant smell.
Overall enjoyed the stay though!
Very nice and clean, roomy, convenient if you are visiting the Brighton centre for concerts and close to the beach apparently. Warmly welcomed at the reception and was offered all the help I needed. Sure to stay with them next time I visit! (If you needed to call a taxi you could just ask at the reception. WiFi password is in the room. Plenty of teabags and coffee sachets, got hairdryer, kettle)
My stay here was comfortable, and the overall experience was very pleasant.
We booked a standard room as we were on a budget and it was simple, enjoyable and did the job.
We wouldve loved a tv in the room but maybe thats for more expensive rooms.

The rooms were clean, cosy and well-maintained. The staff truly stood out. They were incredibly lovely, friendly and always willing to help with a smile.
Amazing hotel in a great location will definitely be coming back. Rooms are clean. Staff are really friendly.
Everything is quite good, although their is a bar downstairs which might be noisy sometimes
Lady at reception was nice but a bit standoffish.
Room was freezing when we arrived.
Although being on the top floor, we were kept awake by the nightclub and people leaving at 4am.
Then when that ended, we were kept awake until 6am with loud, bass music.
When booking the nightclub isn’t stated as being open until 4am.
Really disappointed and not worth the money paid.
Great place along the promenade, offering amazing sunrise/sunset and sea views. A short stroll to Pier, Pavillion and city centre. Room was a little on the small side, but provided what we needed for our stay.

Sfaff were very friendly and amenable.

Did not have breakfast. Room spotless. Staff very friendly and helpful. Shopping and restaurants are very close by. Excellent view of the pier an sea. Would stay again.
The Reception staff was very welcoming and sincere.
The hotel is centrally located to all of the Restaurants and bars.
Staff were friendly but the Check in was like a faulty towers sketch, room was a bit bland but ok,
in room kettle scaled up, cups not cleaned properly. Shower was good with nice smelling toiletries.
The bar on the hotel is closed
Very good proximity to the beach and sealife etc,
After spending the previous night at a neighboring hotel, this didnt hit the same standard for the money paid.
Helpful and polite staff. Easy street parking, and we were surprised by this, given how busy it was.

The experience was quite disappointing overall. The room wasn’t very clean and felt a bit outdated, with basic amenities not properly maintained. Staff response was slow, and service didn’t meet expectations. It’s an okay option if nothing else is available, but I wouldn’t choose it again.
Ive given our stay an average rating because its not possible to go any higher. Its a hotel which isnt looking for anything higher because if it did then it would make significant changes to the standard of the accomodation which it isnt likely to do anytime soon as it will cost them a fortune. The bed in 202 was good, the bathroom was clean and it was quiet. Exactly what we wanted and nothing more...
Dont listen to the reviews stayed in way worse places given better ratings. Check in is easy if you can follow basic instructions. Rooms clean and tidy and everything you need for a budget hotel in a great location in Brighton. Tim the housekeeper was so lovely and helpful and made sure we felt welcomed and at home and works very hard to make sure you have the best stay.
The extractor of the bathroom did not work from the very beginning and no maintenance had been arranged.

Lovely guest house with very friendly owners. Nicely decorated rooms and bathrooms. Wood shutters with a side view down to the sea.
