Such a handy hotel for early hospital appointments. Staff are so lovely and welcoming too.
Stayed a few times now and can’t praise the staff and food high enough.

Have stayed at this place a few times now over many years. Great location, staff friendly. However comparing it to our other visits to (The Ponds) Leonardo we had a few niggles. Most of these concerned the bathroom. Firstly, when turning tap towards cold, the water came out like an explosion. We can only assume that it was some sort of air lock. The bathroom was very tired looking. The ceiling looked awful, like mould and the seal around the bath needed redoing. Lots of black mould, due to no ventilation. We knew beforehand there was no air-con, however the temperature was unbelievably hot. One of the lifts was out of order for all of our stay. The other lift was incredibly slow when called.

We stayed at The Leonardo for medical appointments at Gartnaval General Hospital which was just 5 mins away. The hotel was clean but does need some upgrades within the rooms and lobbies. We only had an evening meal and breakfast on our 1st visit evening meal was fine, but we paid £16.99 each for breakfast which was not worth the £16.99. There was a lot of choice but the food from the hot plate was not hot only lukewarm. Our other visits we went out for our meals. Cannot fault the staff they were always polite, friendly and eager to help.

The whole place needs an upgrade. The building has a rather strange and slightly off-putting smell. 😕.
There was no water to the sink and shower in our room which staff on reception were aware of but didn't think to inform us. The issue was rectified later on. . . .but not as quickly as we would have liked. Wouldn't choose to stay again

A comfortable hotel and good value for money.
However finding it was an unexpected challenge. Walking from Hyndland station what appeared to be the hotel appeared as I passed the hospital on the left. But where was the entrance? No signs along the footpath, so turned left onto Great Western Road to arrive at a petrol station. I could see the Leonardo , but again no entrance and no obvious way to find one. So, off I set back to the road where the hospital was located. I could see the hotel but no sign of any reception. Eventually I walked round the back and found my way in. Only the following morning did I discover that there was a pedestrian cut through to the petrol station
I've been to many hotels in my 73 years, but this one went out of it's way to play hard to find.
Maybe the owners assume everyone will arrive car and their satnav will guide them .
My advice to the owners. Put some signs up

Whilst rooms were clean the hotel is very tiered.
Musty smelling throughout, carpets threadbare in places and in need of replacing.

We stayed at the hotel due to Glasgow Warriors game at Scotsdoun stadium. Suited nicely, decent walk. Hotel room was just fine for two nights.
