Sleep Inn Phoenix North I-17 in Phoenix

I didn’t even end up staying the night — that should tell you everything.
The only decent part of this entire place was the lobby. It almost tricked me into thinking the rest of the hotel might be passable. Unfortunately, the moment we stepped beyond that area, it went downhill fast.

The elevator literally had wires hanging out of it. Not “a little loose panel” — actual exposed wires. That alone should have been our sign to turn around. The hallways looked neglected, with disgusting carpet and random paint splatters all over the walls like someone gave up halfway through a renovation years ago.
The room itself was worse. The bed had a wet spot on it. Yes, a wet spot. I don’t even want to speculate. The bathtub floor was visibly dirty. The room numbers throughout the hallway were either hanging off the wall or scribbled on pieces of Tape.
To make things worse, the room door didn’t properly close behind us. We had to physically force it shut just to feel somewhat secure. That is not something anyone should have to deal with at a hotel.
When we decided we couldn’t stay under those conditions, the front desk refused to refund our money. No apology. No accountability.
And as an added layer of discomfort, there were numerous homeless individuals gathered right outside the property, which made the entire situation feel even more unsafe.
This place needs serious maintenance, management oversight, and basic standards of cleanliness and security. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere unless you enjoy wasting money and feeling uncomfortable.

Hotel was being renovated however was still dirty, shower floor was black, room had an odor, overall hotel shouldn’t be open for business during construction.

the room was not clean I was there for three days not even one time they clean it no towel no sop I have to go downstairs to get all that after long day of work. the receptionist was rude did not even apologies
she told me that's not her problem that is dayshift problem.

The hotel appeared under renovation. The hallways were dirty. In the room there was no toilet paper or kleenex. After notifying the staff, none was to be found, and I had to go off site to obtain. Also, dirt and fingerprint smudges were on the sink faucet and knobs. In addition, there was noise from adjoining rooms and street noise (all of which I would put up with had I not been upset to begin with). All in all, not an enjoyable stay.

This place does not offer breakfast, they have stale cereal. The whole building is under construction, the windows are covered in plastic so you can’t watch your car. They should not be operating until all this is done.
