I stayed here for a couple of days after a long trip from SE Asia —and was quite pleased with the expereince. Recommended for those transiting through or needing a place to crash for a tournament or the like.
The room, fixtures, and building itself is pretty shabby and worn...nothing that can be done by the desk staff so I didn't bother them. But the photos give you an accurate representation. It's not the Ritz, but I had hoped for a bit more "kept-up". If they replace these worn fixtures, patch issues well (not slap on caulk like it appears they did), and such, this would be 5 stars for me. But it is a budget option, which means budget surroundings. I also found it super-weird that all the pillows were half size - squares - and because they were so thick we both had numb arms on waking. The bed was comfortable, but we borrowed pillows from the in-laws. I couldn't find extra pillows in the room or blanket either. I'm sure we could have asked the front desk but it was super late coming from east coast and we crashed.
This is a fantastic location right off the 60, if you need to be in Gilbert or Mesa, with a Starbucks, Walmart, fast food, and gas station surrounding.
