El Rancho Motel in Williams

We met Braden the owner who mentioned that he had taken over the hotel from his grandmother and was updating the hotel and running it now, keeping it in the family which we thought was cool. The location is awesome, walkable to everything. Old retro hotel with great retro vibe to it but hey when you’re running down Route 66, it’s a great place to stay. While you’re there, absolutely run down to Anna’s place for breakfast ( Anna the owner is super nice and grab some 66 gear from Deidre ( also incredibly nice) at addicted to Route 66 …great place to stay over night the El Rancho, highly recommended

Came to Williams to visit for a couple days and decided to stay at the El Rancho Hotel, small (24 rrooms) family owned hotel on Historic Rt 66. An absolutely delightful hotel. One of the cleanest rooms we've ever stayed in, newly remodeled, great value for the price, very attentive management that makes you feel welcome and cared for. 10 out of 10, this will be our go to hotel in the area!

Absolutely the best motel I've ever stayed in! Friendly staff and super clean rooms! If we ever come back I'd choose this place over the neighboring places! Thank you for making us feel welcome, even just for the night!

My wife and I have been traveling for years and we can honestly say, this motel is, by far, the best one we have ever stayed at! Talk about a hidden gem! Clean, quiet, comfortable, and family run (third generation). If you're in Williams, you owe it to yourself and your family to check this place out!

My wife and I had an excellent stay here. We chose this after our Airbnb canceled, and we were not disappointed! Very affordable, the room was very clean, modernized, and comfortable. The gentleman at the counter offered us all kinds of advice as we were there exploring. Best part was the wait for the coaster was quite long but our door step was about 150yds away, so we could take turns going back to the room. 10/10 would return.

I had a fantastic stay at the El Rancho Motel in Williams, Arizona. The place has recently been renovated and you can really tell—the room was spotlessly clean, fresh, and inviting. The bed was cozy, though the mattress was on the softer side, which I personally found very comfortable. The bathroom was fully equipped, including a hairdryer and all the necessary amenities, making the stay even more convenient. Another big plus was the location: just a 5-10 minute walk to a variety of restaurants and cafés, perfect after a day of driving or sightseeing. Check-in and check-out were quick and effortless, with friendly and efficient service. Being located right on historic Route 66, El Rancho Motel gave us that classic American road trip feeling. And with the Grand Canyon just an hour away, it was the perfect base for exploring the area. Overall, a great experience—highly recommended for anyone passing through Williams or planning a trip to the Grand Canyon!

Very happy with El Rancho after a long trip from England. Lovely comfortable bed and pillows and extremely clean room. Can't fault it really, recent review saying the railroad roars all night long is a ridiculous exaggeration. A few sounds from the next room if you are in the bathroom but nothing much, try Bright Angel Lodge at Grand Canyon if you want to hear guests in the next room ! Excellent room for the price and Williams is a great little town with friendly locals.

Two nights there recently. A big surprise. Excellent room with clean sheets and towels each day. Justin in reception was very helpful and accommodating. Walking distance to everything in this quirky town. Grand Canyon train ride is a must.

Have loved our 1 night stay here and will definitely return. The location is at one end of town but within 20 mins you can walk to the other end. The room was spotless! Super comfy bed. The outside was also kept tidy and looked cute with ample parking.
