El Rancho Motel in Williams

I had a fantastic stay at the El Rancho Motel in Williams, Arizona. The place has recently been renovated and you can really tell—the room was spotlessly clean, fresh, and inviting. The bed was cozy, though the mattress was on the softer side, which I personally found very comfortable. The bathroom was fully equipped, including a hairdryer and all the necessary amenities, making the stay even more convenient. Another big plus was the location: just a 5-10 minute walk to a variety of restaurants and cafés, perfect after a day of driving or sightseeing. Check-in and check-out were quick and effortless, with friendly and efficient service. Being located right on historic Route 66, El Rancho Motel gave us that classic American road trip feeling. And with the Grand Canyon just an hour away, it was the perfect base for exploring the area. Overall, a great experience—highly recommended for anyone passing through Williams or planning a trip to the Grand Canyon!

Very happy with El Rancho after a long trip from England. Lovely comfortable bed and pillows and extremely clean room. Can't fault it really, recent review saying the railroad roars all night long is a ridiculous exaggeration. A few sounds from the next room if you are in the bathroom but nothing much, try Bright Angel Lodge at Grand Canyon if you want to hear guests in the next room ! Excellent room for the price and Williams is a great little town with friendly locals.

Two nights there recently. A big surprise. Excellent room with clean sheets and towels each day. Justin in reception was very helpful and accommodating. Walking distance to everything in this quirky town. Grand Canyon train ride is a must.

Have loved our 1 night stay here and will definitely return. The location is at one end of town but within 20 mins you can walk to the other end. The room was spotless! Super comfy bed. The outside was also kept tidy and looked cute with ample parking.

This historical but renovated motel offers very comfortable stay on the way to the Grand Canyon. Our room was nice and clean, with thick soft carpet, air-conditioned, WiFi and fridge. The bed was quite high and comfortable, with soft pillows. We knew we would arrive late for the check-in, so we easily arranged everything with the owner by texting and at no charge. The only flaw was the tv not working. I would definitely go back.

This is a fantastic motel. The room is beautiful and so comfortable, has everything you’d need for a stay and the furnishings are top notch. It’s well placed in the small town of Williams and is on the same street as a number of restaurants and local attractions. We’ve had a great stay at a great price. Thanks El Rancho :)

After lots of research we decided to stay at the El Rancho motel in Williams for our visit to Grand Canyon. This motel was absolutely lovely, check in was quick and the member of staff friendly. The room was so much nicer than we expected, in fact we instantly took our shoes off when entering the room as the carpet was so soft and spongy, we didn't want to make a mess. The room was so impressive, really cosy and clean with a lovely modern colour scheme. The bed and pillows were so soft and comfortable, perfect for us! The motel is located at the far end of the main street along with other motels but only a short walk to all the amazing shops, bars and restaurants. Williams is a great little place and a perfect place to catch the Grand Canyon train. When visiting the Grand Canyon again I would definitely return to this lovely motel!

Very pleasant stay. Staff was super friendly. They provided coupons and recommendations for dining. Room is a little old fashioned, has a lock and key entry system. Has a mini fridge, microwave, they did not have a blow dryer in the room but one was available upon request. The bed was very firm for those who prefer it that way. Entire room very clean including the bathroom and bedding. The AC Unit was probably worth a star alone as it is so very cold if you so desired. The place is well located at the beginning of a route 66 strip of stores and restaurants that is accessible within walking distance.
