Overall it was good since it’s next to the park entrance. The kids enjoyed the heated pool. Room was not ready at 4pm, so the staff gave us some hotel credits to spend. Only a few rides were open for early park entry so the benefit was not as good as Legoland Japan. First morning, the breakfast had more than an hour wait. No line the second morning.
Our family of four stayed at the Legoland Castle Hotel. It was a busy time at Christmas holiday. Check in process was quick and the hotel itself had plenty of activities for kids to do. The room itself is small but kids liked their bunk beds and their own small lego play area in their bedroom. Main bed was not very comfortable and the walls were paper thin. The shower/bath curtain couldn't be closed...
The LEGO atmosphere is strong and emotionally engaging, which kids love, and there are many hidden features to explore. The rooms aren't large, but they're adequate. Wonderful experience even at 71 yrs old! I Love LEGO and it was so much fun! Electric cart rental was reasonable @ $80/day and friendly team members every where. Food was good and fairly reasonable. Note: they will slow down the Submarine ride so you can safely get on and off.
We had a great stay at the Legoland hotel. It is such a magical place for kids. Our room was clean, beds were comfortable and my kids liked the bunk beds. For the price as expensive as a 5 stars hotel, I was a bit disappointed. The room is a bit dated but kids probably don’t mind that much. Food and restaurants are just average. But the location is unbeatable, less than a min walk to Legoland from the hotel. The only reason staying this hotel is for Legoland, so I can’t mind too much. Overall 3.5 out of 5.

The most basic room is located next to the avenue, literally one or two meters away, so we have to keep the curtain closed all day. No view. And the air conditioning really needs upgrade.
Perfect location in downtown Carlsbad. An easy walk to anything you may possibly need. The Jacuzzi unfortunately, was not heating properly when we were there, so was not able to enjoy. The pool is in the front of the Resort next to a very popular restaurant. I prepaid my room with *******, checked in, and gave the credit card for the regular hold for room incidentals. Then, I worked up the next morning with an additional room charge from the hotel. I went to the front desk, and they said, “ Oops, it’s an error by the manager.”

The room was clean, the vast majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful. This is my second stay at the Inn this year. I really enjoy the property and location. Two things could use improvement. The mattress quality which I wrote in my last review needs to improve. Also it would be nice if house keeping came more often than every third day.

This hotel was perfect location for Carlsbad vacation. There is a beach across the street which is never crowded, you are short drive to multiple places but outside of the crowded areas
The hotel is right on the beach, very beautiful! Unfortunately, it was foggy the day we arrived, so we couldn't see much of the sea view! The breakfast was nice, the kind you order, but it was included in the hotel room rate and was very good
The room service response is relatively slow... The hotel advocates environmental protection, and you need to bring your own toiletries, slippers, etc. Only two bottles of mineral water are given, and there is no kettle in the room, only a coffee machine. There is a direct drinking water machine in the hotel corridor.

The property was under full renovation which was not disclosed to me on ******* when I booked it. This was very disappointing since I use ******* quite often for my trips. The property staff was very nice and apologetic.

The property was beautifully landscaped inside and out, even construction apprear to be in the works. I do hope to return again, and stay right with this location.
Such a great stay for family’s, loved the upgraded suite, shuttle, movies by the pool, just a great time
Property was great for our family. I wish the pool was bigger or we were told at check in that we had access to the affiliate hotel next door. The bartender told us on our last day. I think a tour/map of accessible areas would be helpful for future guests.

This rental has been furnished with brand new furniture, linens, pillows, bath towels and other necessities.
The bedroom has a queen size bed and a separate bathroom with a tub/shower.
There is a shared Washer/Dryer hookup downstairs, the laundry key is on the set of keys provided. Keep in mind, we have other tenants on the property as well. If it’s busy, there are laundromats just a few minutes down the street on the coast.

You will occasionally hear the trains nearby but they are not intrusive as of August, after the noise ordinance law was passed. However, under certain weather conditions they may occasionally blow the horn as a warning in less visible conditions.
Cleaning protocol:
This space and all of its furnishings: counter tops, tables, door handles, kitchen utensils, bath surfaces, etc are fully disinfected with Lysol products prior to your arrival. All linens, toiletries, towels, and bed covers are washed and restocked. We utilize the latest disinfectant products to ensure a clean and comfortable stay. Any pets will add an additional cleaning fee.
PARKING:
This unit has a garage available as well as plenty of public street parking. Every first and third Monday of each month the city of Oceanside conducts the street sweeper before 10am. Make sure you are parked in the garage to ensure you’re not blocking the street during that time or you will be ticketed.
