Great staff and the room was very clean with comfortable beds, such cute town with little shops all within walking distance! Great place to stay!

This room was definitely neglected! Very stale smell and stains and hairs in many locations. Hairs in shower, hairs on the bed, mold in the grout, pee smell around toilet, carpet needed to be cleaned badly etc. I had to open the windows and leave the room to let it air out. I asked management to refresh my room and was told that housekeeping only comes every 3 days. I was there for 4 days and no housekeeping ever came. From what I gathered, the hotel itself only operates some of the rooms and the rest are condos. Perhaps the cleaning staff is different there because the reviews for those rooms were much better and the guests appeared happy. I will say that the location is great for exploring Carlsbad and if you treat it like a place to rest your head and bring some clorox, you will be OK. Also, there is a VERY LOUD train that blows it's horns repeatedly when crossing just a block away from 5am to just after midnight EVERY day. If you are a light sleeper beware or bring ear plugs. I would not stay here again.

The room was extremely clean and the staff very hospitable. The room was fully stocked for any meal and it was great having the grills available to use when needed. A great place to stay a few steps away from the beach and many shops and restaurants.

Clean room, walking distance to beach and several restaurants. Easy parking, nice courtyard
Will definitely come back, but will book directly with them since I had a huge issue with the rental car with Payless through *******

The room smelled of mildew and the noise from the upper level was loud. We called about the upper level noise and nothing was done. The location of the property is great but the rooms are a bit smelly.

I was so surprised at how large the room was. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything I needed. My only comment would be to maybe have two bottles of water in the fridge, but other than that it's perfect!

It’s a nice hotel in an ideal location. The amenities are great with a large grass area with tables and overlooking the ocean. An adult only hot tub and a family pool and jacuzzi too. On site activities, steps from the beach and downtown and an activity center that gives out beach chairs boogie boards towels etc.

More delicious food than my wife and I could eat. Great flautas, enchiladas, and albondigas soup. Hostess said this is their slow season but most tables were occupied.

This a really fun restaurant! They have a huge menu. Breakfast, lunch or dinner is always excellent. They give big portions, the prices are fair. It is nestled right next to Carlsbad Inn, and right in town, so it has a very fun vibe.

Great sunny patio for parties. Inviting, great bar, good date place. Food is okay, I've had better down the street at Las Olas but you pay for the venue. Great 80s music track in bar.

The salsa they serve with their chips tasted like ketchup, so I asked for something hotter and they gave me a much better one! The food was good. Excellent rice. The rellanos were cold when they came to our table. The waiter was very accommodating and had the order remade and it came out promptly, but the cheese still wasn't super melty. Interesting sauces that had a different taste than your basic Mexican food spot.

The service was excellent! Great decor and awesome street tacos♡ Great menu and ask for Ocean view but you can sit outside with fire pits too! Gorgeous plants and nice fountain too ♡
Bathrooms need to be cleaned.
Paper all over the floor.
Super nice staff and I wished they had a sweatshirt with skull decor on back!
Loved the tile and just the whole vibe of the place♡

Lots of local bands playing a wide variety of popular music; food and drink and sometimes karaoke. A really nice artichoke dish is available from the kitchen.

Good food and live music weekend nights. The salsa that comes with the chips is amazing. It can be too loud to talk at times, but it's fun to watch people dancing to the music. My mom lives the grilled cornbread that comes with the salads

Good Mexican food but perhaps not quite as good as I expected for the price. While I enjoyed the Combinacione de Oaxana, I thought it was only average in taste. The restaurant deco is really great and service is friendly and efficient (at least when I went around 8pm).

The service was excellent, prompt and friendly. The food was tasty and freshly made. The salsa was just spicy enough. The beef taco had shredded beef, very flavorful. The cheese enchilada had a great sauce. And the dessert! I had the Bunuelo- fried tortilla with ice cream, chocolate drizzle, whipped cream, cinnamon and honey. Yum!

authentic mexican food....owners are very cool...and catering is as promised.. would be five stars if they made their own tortillas....my first choice for off the charts mexican food is about 25 miles south in old town at old town mexican cafe.......but you might not want to drive that far....
