Where to stay in Carlsbad

Many of the room features didn’t work, like the balcony light, Kurig machine. The furniture was very old and dinged up

The staff was so helpful in finding me the right room and provided an extra level of detail and care not often seen these days

Have stayed there at least 10 times in one bedroom condo. We love proximity to Coaster, restaurants, the beach boardwalk and the spacious grounds with water view. Its just perfect and friendly professional staff too.

Overall it was good since it’s next to the park entrance. The kids enjoyed the heated pool. Room was not ready at 4pm, so the staff gave us some hotel credits to spend. Only a few rides were open for early park entry so the benefit was not as good as Legoland Japan. First morning, the breakfast had more than an hour wait. No line the second morning.

Wonderful experience even at 71 yrs old! I Love LEGO and it was so much fun! Electric cart rental was reasonable @ $80/day and friendly team members every where. Food was good and fairly reasonable. Note: they will slow down the Submarine ride so you can safely get on and off.

We had a great stay at the Legoland hotel. It is such a magical place for kids. Our room was clean, beds were comfortable and my kids liked the bunk beds. For the price as expensive as a 5 stars hotel, I was a bit disappointed. The room is a bit dated but kids probably don’t mind that much. Food and restaurants are just average. But the location is unbeatable, less than a min walk to Legoland from the hotel. The only reason staying this hotel is for Legoland, so I can’t mind too much. Overall 3.5 out of 5.

The most basic room is located next to the avenue, literally one or two meters away, so we have to keep the curtain closed all day. No view. And the air conditioning really needs upgrade.

The room was clean, the vast majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful. This is my second stay at the Inn this year. I really enjoy the property and location. Two things could use improvement. The mattress quality which I wrote in my last review needs to improve. Also it would be nice if house keeping came more often than every third day.

This hotel was perfect location for Carlsbad vacation. There is a beach across the street which is never crowded, you are short drive to multiple places but outside of the crowded areas

The hotel is right on the beach, very beautiful! Unfortunately, it was foggy the day we arrived, so we couldn't see much of the sea view! The breakfast was nice, the kind you order, but it was included in the hotel room rate and was very good

The room service response is relatively slow... The hotel advocates environmental protection, and you need to bring your own toiletries, slippers, etc. Only two bottles of mineral water are given, and there is no kettle in the room, only a coffee machine. There is a direct drinking water machine in the hotel corridor.

We had an amazing stay! Everyone on the staff was so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We loved being able to check in early, and the continental breakfast was delicious. The barroom lights and kitchen lights are motion sensored and even though everyone was in bed they wouldn’t stop going off all night even though no one was up.

Staff was great. Our room had the worse mattress so loud every time you turned over it was hard to sleep. The day we checked out we were getting brown water that never stopped in our shower.

A good stay at the sea hotel the room and bedding was clean i liked that there was no smelly carpets in the room. The seal on the shower door was coming off but it had no affect on anything The hot tub was out which was a big bummer but It was quiet and peaceful . The property was under full renovation which was not disclosed to me on ******* when I booked it. This was very disappointing since I use ******* quite often for my trips. The property staff was very nice and apologetic.

Property was great for our family. I wish the pool was bigger or we were told at check in that we had access to the affiliate hotel next door. The bartender told us on our last day. I think a tour/map of accessible areas would be helpful for future guests.

Family friendly. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Was able to borrow sand toys to take the Beach and they had complimentary swim diapers available. My daughter loved the activities that are planned daily. The size of the room with the full kitchen made our stay comfortable. We will be back.

Nice hotel with a kitchen that is fully equipped. The pools are nice and the gym is pretty good. The train can be loud but doesn’t run all night. Views are above the first floor so stay on an upper level

Everyone was super nice there, all staff members had a smile and always said good morning or have a goodnight…anything with manners they were on top of it let’s say! Our room didn’t have an ocean view but that’s ok it was 2 seconds to the beach with an easy crosswalk! The room was clean and ready for us when we got in, you can tell it’s an old building but they up keep it very well I’d say!

Chain motel, the overall feeling is OK, we stayed for two consecutive nights due to the distance, the service is OK. The room is a bit small, there is a laundry room.

So happy we found this place Perfect getaway hotel in a great location. Everything was clean, staff was friendly and I’ve already booked our next stay. Underground parking is safe, clean and there’s plenty of it (two levels). Only costs $20/night.

We had a good experience staying here. The only thing was the bathroom has a sliding door that is frosted. You can't see into the bathroom but the light is super bright so whenever someone got up to go to bathroom during the night it lit up the whole room.

It’s convenient, clean and cheap hotel, good place with commercial area. Equipped with fridge and microwave. 3 minutes away from Legoland, 2 mins away from Costco.

It is okay for single person for a day trip if visiting legoland as location is prime but personally I would not choose to stay again with family because too much noise whole night and smoking smell in the rooms

The front desk was super friendly. My issue was the location of our room. It was right next to the door leading outside to the pool. So all I heard all morning and night was that door clanking shut. Even with a sound machine on, the sound of clanking doors gave me a headache and I couldn't sleep. So just don't get a room by a door that people will be going in and out at all times.

The sanitation and environment are all good, there is a swimming pool, vending machines at the front desk. It is not far from the beach.

Kids free hotel! Heaven on earth!!! Rooms are modern, not super spacious but they made the most out of the space. Rooms come with convection microwave so you can do a small roast or get your cooking on. In-n-Out is about 13 min walk from the hotel. If you can’t find nothing to eat, it not a bad option!!! Breakfast hours end@9:30am during the week, so make sure you don’t miss it!

We stayed here to go to the street fair. The room was really good but there was a very bad smell in the hallway the whole time, luckily not in the room. Front desk people were great, very friendly. Free parking and a big lot, no trouble finding parking. There were a few sketchy people hanging around the lobby.

I found my stay more than satisfactory for me or a family. Close to the activities in Carlsbad Village, yet a fair price.

katie at the front was always amazing & always had a great attitude even early in the am which is hard for most people . they had pots and pans & anything else you needed on hand . the rooms were very spacious, the bed was so cozy that you felt right at home . the ac system was amazing . the housekeeping staff was great as well

There was absolutely nothing in my room, not even a drinking cup no shampoo no anything had to go to the front desk to even get a cup. The comforter and the sheet had stains on it, and they were ants all in the bathtub as it was late and I was in a new area. I just stayed in the room and slept on top of the linens. I would’ve given it an even lower score, but the room was cleaned.

Racheal is awesome. It was very clean. I felt very safe. My husband and I went to see a show and was given wonderful directions and the breakfast was great too the waffle syrup but it’s nice clean. They have every yogurt, the bagels, etc. the breakfast is worth it and the room size is amazing.

Acceptable The room was good for a budget place. It smelled like household cleaning solution, but at least it appeared clean. Breakfast was OK (cereal, yogurt, waffles, no pastries). Security was lax (outer door left open at times).

We did book the hotel 2x and we see improvement. Breakfast is available apple, yogurt, cereals, coffee, pancakes and we are always greeted by Lucy. She's so nice and smiling. There's laundry area and the rooms are ok. They clean it daily. Chair looks filthy though but were not sitting on it so I don't mind.

The people at the front desk, specifically Mark, really go above and beyond to make sure everything is running smoothly and your stay is comfortable, I would absolutely come here again, clean beds, hot water and a great staff.
