+ Location down from mall shopping and other down town locations. Rooms were clean. Great lobby and lots if areas to chill. Well scheduled events on weekends.

Only street parking or valet for $40 plus a night. In addition to paying for your stay up front you also have to pay a $200 deposit. It took 5 days to receive my deposit back into my account. If money is not a problem then the Mayfair is an okay option. But there are so many other hotels equivalent in price that have better services and provide a higher quality Hotel experience that I don't know why you wouldn't just go somewhere else. I doubt I will ever be back. One last thing, try calling the customer service line and prepare to wait at least 30 minutes or be redirected multiple times and put on hold for asking basic questions.

The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly. The Murphy bed made a cozy room feel spacious, and the sofa under it came in handy for a business brainstorm session couldn't tell you were in a bedroom. The hotel was under construction for renovations. They had to change my room because the thermostat didn't work, not sure the new room was better it just didn't have a way to control temp.

Beautiful historic hotel, undergoing renovations that will be great when completed. Friendly staff! Beds were comfortable and bathroom is small but cute!

Very clean and beautiful property great staff. They great pictures you see online is what you get no surprises. I definitely recommend this place. Free parking also!

What a cool little hotel! Lots of personality, they are doing a great job of bringing back the vibe of it's hey day.
Really nice, helpful and genuine staff. Once they finish remodeling the lobby, bar and pool, it's going to be real hot spot.
Not the nicest neighborhood, but a short drive to everything downtown has to offer.

*UPDATE* Extra star added for the awesome staff. Doormen, front desk agents, and especially the maintenance guy who came to check on the A/C - they all make an effort to provide a great experience to their guests. Looking forward to seeing the final product after the renovation, which I imagine will be beautiful based on the progress so far. I really wish they hadn't cut back the trees out front but since they did, now I wish they'd completely remove the bare tree remnants. It was an odd decision to leave the trees the way they are.

Very nice boutique hotel. Rooms are small but stylish, modern and comfortable. Not a great neighborhood, but well located. Pricey, but decent compared to other similar hotels in L.A. Overall good experience. Would stay there again.
