Howard Johnson by Wyndham Tallahassee in Tallahassee

This was the hotel from hell. I appreciate the fact that it is under new management, but they should not be renting rooms that are in disgusting shape. This place really gives the Wyndham group a bad reputation. The glass in the window was broken, the TV was broken. No trash cans, filthy floor, filthy shower curtain. No Ice machine. No breakfast even though the website said there was. The pool was full of green water. To make matters worse, there was a woman screaming and cussing about who knows what. This went on for 20 minutes. I was ready to call the cops, but someone beat me to it. The cops showed up and were banging on the door next to my room. OPEN THE DOOR, TALLAHASSEE POLICE. Finally she did and they talked to her for a while. Then they left and she was quiet until 2 in the morning. The saga continues.
Note: If Wyndham management is reading this, I kindly request that they reimburse me and my wife for the breakfast we had to buy, $14.30. Better yet, refund my room rent!!

Usually, when you hear or see the name Wyndham hotels, you associate it with and expect certain standards. Such as: quality, safety, cleanliness and courteous staff. Well, that certainly wasn’t the case with Howard Johnson Wyndham hotel (2726 Monroe St in Tallahassee FL.). When my husband and I arrived to check-in, we were surprised that this flea bag flop hotel was a part of the Wyndham hotel chain. This disgusting deplorable place certainly isn't a good representation of the quality hotels you advertise or that your customers expect. There were people hanging around like they were on a street corner. The room had the horrible smell of mole and mildew. The linen on the bed looked old and discolored (dingy dirty beige instead of white), the mattress looked lumpy. The carpet was old and dirty. The bathroom looked like the toilet of a gas station. The bathtub had rust around the drain and faucets. It looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned. I wouldn’t give my dog a bath in that tub. Needless to say, we definitely weren’t going to stay one hour, let alone one night. We returned to the front desk to complain, and requested a refund. The desk clerk couldn’t seemed to comprehend why we were complaining or that we should have a complaint..
This trip was planned to visit a dear friend, whom we hadn’t seen in a good while, for the holiday weekend. We could only spent one day with her instead of the entire holiday weekend. We all were truly disappointed & returned home.
I am writing this complaint to express my dissatisfaction and bring awareness to about the condition of the hotel that is a part of your hotel chain. - reques I want a refund.
Also, I will be sharing this complaint on my social media platforms to make other Wyndham customers visiting the Tallahassee Florida area not to book a reservation at this hotel.

Terrible. Worst experience ever. Cockroaches in room and lobby. Pictures nothing like what it actually looks like. False advertising: Originally chose because it included breakfast. At check in they told me they don’t do breakfast. Went into room and there were no towels or bed covers. Had to yell outside for maintenance and waited maybe 10-15 minutes to get helped. Finally got towels. Another customer who just got off the bus had to wait outside in the cold to be serviced to check in because the lobby was locked and nobody was there. When I located someone to help, he said there were no more rooms. She said she has a reservation and already paid her money. Waited a long time to get covers. Still waiting. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Don’t waste your money at this place.

Terrible Experience.
Dirty room. Dirty towels and disgusting coffee maker: I had to get them replaced. Cockroaches inside the room: I have to keep my luggage in my car. Dirty carpet. But friendly staff, nice maintenance crew. I will never come back again.
