Quality Inn Augusta West Near Fort Gordon in Augusta

My mother and I were coming with my disabled niece who just so happens to be in a wheelchair… the man at the lobby gave us a room near 115 … there were NO wheelchair ramps near that room even though he said there was.. so my mother had to push my niece in her wheelchair through the lobby and all the way around. He didn’t give us a wheelchair accessible room even though we requested it. When we got to the room, it immediately smelt like marijuana but since it was 930 we were too exhausted to say anything as we were already having issues with the wheelchair getting to the room. We lay a protective sheet on the bed in case she has an accident and upon removal of the sheets and comforter, we were left with this cover. Please be more aware of people with disabilities and clean the rooms better

Enough said. The staff was cool and all but how can you expect a good rating when you're renting these rooms knowing how they are. Im scared to sleep tonight

So ill start by saying with it being in augusta we already weren't expecting the greatest anyways. So we booked the room and we get there and check in went great, the staff was great and the lady that checked us in was sweet. When we got to our room though the dead bolt wouldn't latch. We went back up to the lobby and they swapped our room without an issue. So we get to the new room and the door wouldn't latch shut and stay shut unless you forced it and even then I think it was popping back open because we left to get dinner and came back and it was cracked open. We had decided to stay anyways because at least the dead bolt latched. But after being in the room for 30 minutes the smell was burning my nose and giving me a headache. (I couldn't quite place what the smell was but it was a mixture of smells). But what put it over the top for use was I went to the bathroom and there was 3 roaches that ran off when I cut the light on. Typically I don't complain about roaches because I know places are bound to have some especially if its not alot of them but it was just a mix of everything going on. So we gathered our stuff and checked out. I did t bother arguing for a refund because when we were checking out they made sure to remind us of their no refund policy and I was just to aggravated to stand in the lobby and argue. So we spent $80 for about maybe 2 hours total use of the room and that includes the time that we went and got food.

This hotel is not what you believe. There was some managers that was really nice Karen and Patricia are the best. There was two other that was really nice but I forgot their names. Now what this a bad hotel is the gentleman that we’re glasses and older guy. He has nice attitude and do not know how to deal with customers. I had reservations for my same room for the next day. I go down to pay for the room and he told us that we have to check out then check back in and maybe get our room back. I told that didn’t make since because we was already in the room. He told me that because of the Nike Peach tournament the hotel needed all their rooms. I called Choice hotel and they told me there was nothing even-though I’m a platinum member. I travel a lot and use choice hotels a lot but this is one hotel I will not use again!!!!! Unfortunately I don’t want to use Choice hotels either but in Augusta the budget friendly hotels are limited. I have it a two only because of Karen and Patricia.
