The Paper Factory is a great hotel with excellent amenities. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. It is also a block away from the 36th street subway station, and 15 mins from Laguardia, so a very convenient location. I will absolutely stay here next time I come to NYC.

Great hotel and location, check in easy, hotel very clean, room has almost all needed except the floor is concrete and it’s very cold so some provided slippers would be really appreciated, as an addition. Thank goodness I had flip flops with me. I would stay here again, the bed was very comfortable and there is a deli in the corner outside so you can get a to go breakfast on mornings.

Place is closed down permanently. Do not-book. I did and got the email 2 days before my stay they were closed down permanently. For some reason despite the email, there are multiple ways to book. Call the hotel - do not pay any money people!!!!

The room was fine. We were able to open a window a few inches which was nice. Be aware that they have a resort fee and are not willing to waive or decrease it. Location good for access to Astoria, LIC, Sunnyside, Woodside. Would stay there again.

The pillows in the room were inferior. The 36th street metro station near by is NOT wheelchair accessible. If you have heavy luggage, you will need to go to the Queen's Plaza station. I found an street accessible elevator, however, to get to the subway tracks, you will need to go down the stairs. I was fortune to have a family member help me drop-off my luggage at the hotel prior to checking into the hotel. Some of the hotel staff are helpful. I think the hotel may want to offer assistance to the 36th street subway station if you have heavy luggage. I've looked at my receipt and I paid an extra $53.39 in hotel taxes, fees, etc. on top of the room rate per NIGHT. One of the taxes called Javits Center tax pays for the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center ($14.14 per night, which is inclusive of the $53.39 cost I mentioned. As a tourist person, it should be NOT be my responsibility to help pay for the convention center! Overall, the hotel was quite. I couldn't get a late check-out which is 12 noon. Regular check-out is 11 a.m. I ended up storing my luggage at the reception desk. I doubt I will use this hotel again. Hopefully, there is a hotel elsewhere that doesn't charge all those fees - maybe, in New Jersey???

It has a very different and interesting settings. I stayed there with my wife for 2 nights. They dnt have any room service and no restaurant or bar is available. Setting of the rooms were interesting and was comfortable stay though. However beds were bit cranky and you can hear your neighbors, also from the above i recon, coz i couldn't figure out where the sound was coming from. Yes, beds were clean, ac was working fine, bathrooms are good. You can enjoy your stay for couple of days not long stay though.

Whomever decorated the place should be fired. The satisfaction survey asked how I slept. Well, put it this way – I’ve slept on Ikea college dorm futons that were more comfortable and the pillows may have been borrowed from the local Salvation Army. Plus, we asked for a “quiet room”(which the front desk acknowledged at check-in), so they selected the one which was located next to one of the building’s two elevators, with one of the building’s three soda vending machines located directly outside our door. AND, to make it even better, there was this incessantly loud banging sound that resembled something similar to an old building’s boiler trying to start in the winter. And the banging was constant – 24/7. So, no… we didn’t sleep. There was no workspace in the room. At all. Next to the very uncomfortable bed was a light that wouldn't stay upright no matter what we did. At the very foot of the bed was a non-smart TV that stuck out of this god-awful ugly credenza that had so much dirt and dust on it we didn't even want to touch it. So that meant that the ONLY way to watch TV was you had the be lying in bed. That was your only option. But remember – the pillows ******, so that was not exactly comfortable whatsoever. We asked for additional pillows to try and solve that dilemma and the staff made it seem like we were asking them to donate a kidney. There was a very small metal breakfast table, which was nice. And to complete the room, there was a chest of drawers that I assume they are calling "reclaimed", which is a fancy word for exactly what this looked like: They trolled the streets of New York and found it next to a dumpster. There was so much dirt (not dust...dirt) under the edges of the platform bed (…and around the edges of the room and under the curtains!), I cringed. The window ledge had clearly not been wiped down in weeks. And the curtains... oh god, the curtains. I don't even want to guess when the last time those were cleaned. There is a very obvious reason most hotels do not have heavy floor-to-ceiling curtains. It’s because they are absolute magnets for dust, dead skin cells, dandruff, and god knows what else. The sunlight streaming through the large windows was lovely, but it was just horrific to then draw the curtains and see exactly how incredibly dirty the curtains were. It made the entire room feel that much filthier. Here’s what The Paper Factory considers to be a “Kitchenette”. An entire wall of EMPTY cabinets. A sink. A Keurig coffee machine. A mini fridge. A mini-microwave small enough it could have fit in my backpack. Two plastic plates. Two plastic bowls. And two sets of silverware. Period. No coffee mugs. No glasses. No wine glasses. No paper towel holder. No stove top. No toaster (or toaster oven). No blender. No waffle maker. No air fryer. No slow cooker. No can opener. Not even a damn corkscrew! And they allow people to stay in this hotel for up to 29 nights? We actually ended up just ordering essentials off of Amazon beca

There are several steps at the door, and it is very difficult to carry the suitcase.
The quilt is not covered with a quilt, it is like a youth hostel, one layer of sheets, one layer of quilts, and then another layer of sheets. I don't like this kind of thing very much. It is easy to kick away the sheets and come into direct contact with the quilt.

This bar is in a great location. Summer time is really great here they have outdoor seating and a large t.v. in which people watch sporting events. It's really spacious and great for big crowds. It has more of a younger crowd. Great place to watch the Superbowl. There s always street parking around.
29.11.2017 Cristina
So much fun here! Especially in the summer since they have that huge outdoor seating area. Great drink selection.

This place is great for large and small groups. Definitely a good place to go to if you want to invite a lot of people like for a birthday or impromptu reunion. It's also a good place for a date if you get there earlier. There's a ton of seating all over the place and very large tables. The happy hour specials are pretty fantastic. The food here is good too. They give you a ton of fries. They have all the condiments laid out and a lot of options. There is a decent selection of beer and specials on pitchers. The sangria tastes great and is strong. You can get it with or without fruit. There are a lot of bathrooms so you don't have to wait too long even when it gets super busy. There's also outdoor seating and a giant screen out there for watching sporting events. There are some bar games. Some nights they have a silent disco event where you can rent your own pair of headphones and listen to a specific DJ. The headphones change color depending on which DJ choose so you can see who else is listening to the same DJ as you. It gets very busy after 9 but not unbearable. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Horrible experience.. went to watch Colombia vs Peru and they literally had to illegally stream the match from a laptop. Missed like an entire 20-25 minutes all together. Raised prices on beer!!!! Blasphemy!!!! They even charged people at the door smh... these people don't care about us.. and I'm a sensitive man.. so I need love but anyway.. I ain't coming back
