Anchor Inn in Queens

This hotel is not worth staying at!!! They allow the homeless to sleep in the lobby and attend the continental breakfast!!! We were at breakfast and they were begging for money to take the bus!! The hallways spell of pot. To pay $1600.00 for 2 hotel rooms for 4 days was so not worth it!! This place needs to do something we were not the only ones in the lobby complaining. The first night we got here the hotel room had no AC or working refrigerator. We purposely wanted rooms next to each other. That didn't happen due to the issues with the one room. The ironing board was broken, the ice machine was out of order along with the vending machine on the second floor!! We got stuck in the elevator and when we paged the front desk no one answered!!! We wanted to use the table in the breakfast room to play cards they told us we could not go in there!! We were gonna use the table in the lobby to play cards but that was a problem too!!! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE OR STAY HERE AGAIN!!!!

I had a long day from work I stopped for a short stay the guy at the counter told me that my credit card was declined even though I have when I use my card that will text me then my car passed then I use my debit card so I got charged twice for the room I'm not happy the hotel is nice I like it but I don't feel good about the guy ripped me off like that so be careful when they tell you that your car's been declined

STAY FAR AWAY. This place has the most unprofessional manager. He tried to gaslight me as I showed him insects crawling on the hotel bedroom wall in a video on my phone. The manager claimed I used a app to put insects on the wall. The manager told me to stay in the lobby as he went to go check the room even though I said I wanted to accompany him and called me up at a later time to tell me that there were no bugs. When I saw the bugs on the wall AGAIN, I called front desk ASAP to have the manager view them with me. He saw them crawling, claimed that they weren’t bugs and offered no apology for the app insect claim. Horrible experience. Disgusting attitude. Disgusting insects.

This must be one of the oldest, run down hotels in Queens. Thank god I only had to stay here one night.

Check in - as you walk in the building you’re greeted by the smell of cigarettes. Dingy and dark lobby.

Room Comfort - I was not comfortable sleeping in this room. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable. Pillows are a joke.

Cleanliness - This hotel is roach infested, there were traps all through the room (see photos)

The guests that stay here are unsavory, constant door slamming throughout the night. They also leave the side doors open all night.

Horrible value and would not recommend for anyone to stay. This place needs a complete gut renovation if not full demolition.

Expect a subpar experience. Breakfast was poor. No eggs or meat. Trashy pastries. We ca.e in late. I guess we got the sex rooms. We had to get our linens changed. May have had bed bugs. Something bit my leg. Will never stay here again. Will only do so if I'm desperate.
