Hotel staff was very friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, & helpful!
The room was not as advertise through *******. There was not a bathtub with a stand shower as shown for the superior suite.
However, the room was nice.

Everything was great until you come to the room The bed was nice but it was just too soft. Refrigerator didn't work. It stayed at 50° or whatever The office chair was broken or something wrong with it. I got a shower chair and it broke the lighting. You had to figure out how to work the lighting. Several things was going wrong but all if you went outside the room everything was great

I had a very bad experience during my stay. I couldn't find any bath soap. The glass shower door was about to fall off. That's a very serious risk for anyone. I reported it and received no response.

Toilet broke in the middle of the night. Wasnt fixed until right before we left. The thermostat didnt work. Very disappointing.

Quiet room, but a little tired. Carpet frayed, paint peeling - needs some TLC. Beautiful view, not crowded - nice stay

Two decades ago, this was a top destination hotel in Virginia Beach. I first visited in 2007, 4 years after its opening in 2003. It was an exquisite stay in 200. Everything worked well and was luxuriant.
Unfortunately, as of December 2025, everything has changed. The property has not been well maintained. Room furnishings are outright seedy level shabby for want of replacement. Tile grout problems and rust in bathrooms have a cheap motel effect. Hotel hallways have rips and dings in wallpaper and walls. And there is an unpleasant stench in the lobby and hallways, due to likely need for airduct cleaning and filter replacement.
They still charge a lux price, but provide a yucks stay experience. Try the Cavalier, Hyatt Place,, or Embassy Suites
Book and oceanfront (not ocean view) room wherever you stay in VB. On non cloudy mornings, the sunrise over the ocean is still soul resetting, no matter where you stay.

As always the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Service was excellent and the view unbeatable.

The room we stayed in was very old…old furniture, old lamps, old TV, and mold on the bottom of the shower glass door.

Great ocean views from our balcony. Property needs some maintenance, some water damage inside that is clearly visible. Pool heaters did not work while we were there so we did not get to experience them. The skybar was also not open during our Friday-Monday stay which was disappointing as well.

I was very happy with the view of the ocean from our balcony but the room was outdated. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan and the balcony rails were dirty.

I want to first say my husband and I dined here last year for our 11th anniversary in 2015 and thought it was amazing and couldn't get any better. We move to NC, 5 hours away, and had such an amazing intimate experience.

Food was ok. Not great, not bad, just ok. It is off season in Nov. I really missed the buffet that they have in season.

Son and husband got the buffet and it was fantastic. I ordered the chicken fingers because I can't eat that much. It took forever to get them and they were overcooked. 4 fingers for $9 is too much. We will eat there again but I will order something else. Servers were awesome and very attentive.

DO NOT GO HERE. We went because it seemed like a reasonable place but it was all a scam. They do not tell you that the buffet is $31 per person online or when you sit down and then you go to the buffet and they have barely any selection. To make it worse, the food is awful. Everything tasted old. The crab legs were dry and cold. The desserts had accent fruit on the top that was so hard that it practically was candied. I would never go to this restaurant again.

Was very pleased with the service provided from this Subway. Had to place a large order and have it all ready by a certain time and everything went quite smoothly. All the subs were fresh and the staff was very accommodating.

Hands down the worst subway I've ever been to.
Strange tasting sub (fishy steak), very bad service, tight environment, hastily made subs with very light topping.
