Casa de Higos in Samarkand

We arrived to check in and were given a room, but they didn't give us the key, claiming they were there if we needed to get in. We insisted we wanted a key, and they told us they would have to move us to another room (which they did). Then they told us they would have to keep our passports until checkout. We flatly refused, and they then told us it was a mistake and that a photo was sufficient.

Both rooms we stayed in had dirty bathrooms. Most notably, the shower trays were yellowed, covered in hair from previous guests, and the water drained poorly.

We asked the receptionist how long it would take us to get to the airport, and she called the manager, who was the only one who spoke English. She told us not to worry, that the hotel had a free taxi service, but that we had to give her the exact check-out time and that we shouldn't worry about anything. We agreed that our departure time would be 3:00 AM. The next day, not only was the car nowhere to be found, but the hotel grounds were locked behind a gate, and the hotel didn't have the key. There was no one at reception (thankfully we hadn't left our passports with them), and when we woke up the staff (because the taxi wasn't there and we couldn't leave), the woman gestured to us, "What are you telling me for? I don't have the key." As we were about to jump the gate with our suitcases, a security guard from the truck parking lot appeared and offered to let us in. We ended up leaving for the airport 20 minutes later in a taxi that we had to call ourselves.

We arrived tired, the hotel is located on the outskirts, there are no roads, it is located on the territory of a transport base, the entire parking lot is filled with trucks, the gates were closed, they did not answer the phone, they barely reached the guard, the gates were opened for us, but the hotel was closed, they turned around in a bad mood and left for Grand Asia, this is a really luxurious hotel, no offense guys, honest review! I give it 1 star!
