Manor Hotel in Tashkent

This was probably the worst hotel of my trip in Uzbekistan.

My room was still facing a construction site and those workers were able to see me if I opened the curtain, so I can’t open it. (I stayed at Rm209).

And then the housecleaning staff threw away my stuff at my room, which I was clearly putting in a bag tied on the desk. And they just threw away. I called to the reception right after I discovered it while I didn’t have any formal reply afterwards (it was happened on day 2 of my 4-day stay), and they got no other email address for me to complain upwards, just have a reservation email, and the staff seemed prone to be with Russian speaking visitors instead of us.

Nevertheless, at my last night stay at hotel, I phoned in the reception and asked for the late checkout, the receptionist agreed to be checkout at 2pm and no charge while the next day I was blocked by the dayshift receptionist said that no one told him that.

IT WAS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM OF THEIR COMMUNICATIONS ?🙂‍↕️ a series of unfortunate man made mistakes, opening customers’ stuff during housecleaning already a big NO for hotels, luckily I always shut my luggage when I was out.

Just to be a little reminder for anyone like to staying in future. The only thing it is worth was its location - not too far from the city centre and there are stores and restaurants around the hotel.

The complimentary breakfast at the top of the hotel was fair to the hotel standard, and you need to arrive when it opens as they don’t refill their dishes

p.s. The sauna & spa services were in Russian and no English clues and it’s a charge

I wrote this review with my greatest respect and tolerance for so called hotel standard. What a terrible experience
