Peridot Gallery Classic Hotel in Hanoi

Hostel and its stuff is very nice, friendly and helpful. However the street (same as any other street in Hanoi) is very busy and noisy and unfortunately neighbor of this hostel has been doing a reconstructionduring the time we have been here..
But that is the only thing we disliked during our stay :)

Room and bed were large, which was nice. Everything seemed clean, if a little outdated. Breakfast was meh, but for 30kVND I can't really complain. If I were to stay here again I would pursue better street food options nearby. Staff were friendly and attentive. The best thing about this hotel is that they not only booked tours for me when asked, they actually got them for $5US cheaper than was published online. The rain shower head was nice, but hot water was spotty.

Location is great since it's in the old quarter. Many restaurants nearby and the night market is within a 5 minute walk. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help you. Downside is that there is no elevator so there are a lot of stairs every time you go to your room.
In the morning, they offer breakfast in which you can choose from the menu what you want. They cook it for you on spot which is nice. Selection contains different phos and some more western style breakfast such as toast and eggs. In addition to this, you can eat fresh fruits and drink fruit juices, coffee and tea. It's a very light breakfast to start your day with.
Overall, it has been a very positive experience to stay here and I would recommend it.
