Fansipan Danang Hotel in Da Nang

Unfortunately it wasn't a good stay.

The staff are very nice here but a room rating comes down to sleep quality. The bathroom is very nice but that has problems and after this it goes downhill.

No bath tap so you have to use the shower heads, the water is not warm enough to fill the bath, so you can't have a bath. The bed is very soft but not terrible, but the pillows are, cheap wadding stuffed inside a case too small, neck pain after sleeping. The room is slightly damp, you can smell it in the air and the sheets don't feel quite dry. Bun Bo drivers going by at 12.30am, school busses at 7am, super loud with their own noises. Insects outside from 1am to 4am. Walls thin, can hear other rooms coughing. Floors thin, sounds like there's an elephant above.

When I checked in I was told 2 free bottles of water, everything else is paid. I understand. I check out, now the bottles of water I drank were not the free ones? Then where were the free ones? Apparently small ones on the table but I didn't see any. 30k for 2 bottles of water. 3x the price.

Never mind I had high hopes. Nice bath design but the rest is low quality. Also -3 or -4 off the photos they are very photoshopped and brightened. The room is a lot more worn and showing its age.

Not somewhere if you want sleep unfortunately.

Nice staff though (aside from the water issue) shame the hotel can't provide them with the same facilities to customers.
