Citadines Marina Halong in Halong

Come here every 2 or 3 months but never seems to get bored of this place. Excellent view from the balcony (the beach). Breakfast is splendid, good service. I forgot my stuff at the hotel one time but luckily staff named Thu Thảo helped me to send it all way back to Hanoi where I live.

Stayed 2 nights in 1 bed 1 bath apartment.

Checkin staff were friendly and explained about what hotel had to offer from restaurants to pools etc.
Offered late check out which was handy as had 2pm transfer to haiphong. Bell boys collected luggage from car and bought it up to room.
Check out was straight forward.

Apartment was great . Bathroom easily largest one from any apartment stayed in . Nice view from balcony
Bed was firm not something used to but still got decent sleep.

Location is away from main area of harlong
Small shop at front of complex and other food and drinks walking distance away.
There is construction nearby which seemed go 24/7 but loud noises stopped around 10pm both nights.

Would stay there again

This is an upmarket services apartment and provides all the corresponding level of services and facilities. Just one thing you need to be aware related to the construction site next door, as it goes both day and night. Ask for the unit away from the construction site or the opposite side of the building, then enjoy!

A very good hotel. A smart sophisticated hotel. For short stay or long stay.
This hotel has in each room a container with at least 20 liters of drinking water. MORE than any 5 stars hotel in HALONG BAY that gives each room ONLY 2 bottles of drinking water every day.
In addition= each room has a large refrigerator, a microwave, an
Electric Induction, utensils for cooking, serving, including forks spoons, knives..... NOT plastic but
Metal.......
Saucers made of ceramics
NOT plastic, cooking pots and frying pans, bowls, anything needed for a long stay.
Guests can buy food & drinks outside the hotel and store in fridge. Can reheat any time by microwave or by cooking at induction.
This hotel has also 2 options for laundry. The first is charging you per piece, per item.
The other option is self service.
On 2nd floor there is self laundry.
Several washing machines, several dryers. Each can take up to seven kilos.
You buy 2 coins from reception.
One for laundry. Other for dryer. Each cost 120,000 VND
You can get assistance from staff to operate it.
It comes cheap. Less than 10 USD for up to 7 kilos and come out clean and DRY.
The hotel has 2 swimming pools.
One is indoor with heated water to 29 degrees Celsius
The other is outside. Outdoor.
The staff is very friendly and helping.
Upon arrival= me and my wife met a receptionist name RACHEL.
This Rachel had an excellent service. Got us within 5 minutes to our room. We came early at 11 AM. No need to wait 4 hours for
1500 to check in
RACHEL got us a room in minutes.
On 26 floor with sea view
Excellent job of RACHEL from reception.
Because of RACHEL we extended our stay for additional night.
I asked later stage for late check out.

We've been last 10 days in other HALONG BAY hotels
( Vinpearl, the yacht by DC, Hyatt place, Wyndham legend, Wyndham garden, etc )
Coffee quality in this Citadines marina halong bay MUST be better.
If possible.

This hotel is definitely a 5 stars hotel

It's recommended by me for short stays or long stays as well.
For the price guests pay= they get FULL value for their Money

What a mixed bag… Overall good. In short, no service around the pool, also, no atmosphere, they have outdoor speakers but not working or turned on. Soul Bowl the first evening, no music, just the sound of people eating and talking, atmosphere could be better, they also handed us our takeaway in a biodegradable container, in a plastic bag…why have a biodegradable container…

Staff are really nice.

My friends and I took a weekend trip and really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was beautiful, clean, and had a great ocean view. Also would recommend checking out the rooftop bar :) One of my friends is gluten-free and all of the staff were patient and helpful in accommodating her requests. We also had a lot of fun using the hotel bikes (free of charge) to ride around town and hit the beaches nearby. Special thanks to Tracy, who helped us book local excursions and was super responsive to all our requests. Thank you Citadines!

We reached the hotel and end to end, it was excellent service especially from the front desk. They had the guests roster and arrangements down to a T with the boat ride to Halong bay and even our ride to the next hotel. The latter was a little clumsy because we made a limousine booking but changed our hotel thereafter and we could not change the drop off location. We had to make our own arrangements via grab at Hanoi to the new hotel. Something to do with some vehicles not allowed to enter certain drop off areas. First time in Vietnam and we had to take their word for it, but it was true. The chef at Marina Halong is a Singaporean, Lawrence, a very nice and friendly guy who always spent time speaking to us each day at breakfast. He even recommended places to go near Halong Bay, and he was spot on. Kudos to staff like Lawrence. The rest of the reception staff were very on their toes and always trying hard to explain any delays etc. even when we had difficulties with our dryer in the room, they offered to pay for the drying of the clothes. They surprise me by providing almost everything for my family. You can cook and make a meal for the baby.
The room has a very big bathroom, and it has a nice interior. It also has a working table in the bedroom.
The hotel is from a residential area, so you can get a clear view even from the lower floor.
The gym has enough types of equipment for your exercises, helping you not to skip your gym routine.
Two pools(indoor and outdoor) will fit any weather conditions.
The free breakfast is very good, I love tiny bread with jam.
The employees are very kind and nice. I will come again next time.
