The best 5-star hotel in Ha Long with stunning pool views, especially at sunrise and sunset.

Rooms are massive and spacious. Despite it being a old hotel, it remains well maintained. Buffet breakfast area is large and the selections are varied. It is connected to the golf club and golfers will be transported by electric buggies. As it is located on elevated grounds, it is easier to get in n out of the hotel via taxi or private car.

The room was great, very clean, and the environment was excellent.

The hotel was grand. The swimming pool was great for the kids not a lot much else to do there. The golf was great for dad. We had to great game there and the views were fantastic, good value overall we enjoyed the hotel and the food was good, so we will go back and play another round of golf there and stay again. The service was just medium, and the attention to customer detail was low.

The transportation is convenient and the room is large, but the bathroom is very small. You have to stand in the bathtub to shower. The shower head cannot be hung on the wall and you have to hold it by hand, which is very inconvenient. The water flow is also very small. The hotel facilities are relatively old.

Great place to just enjoy the beach and hotel facilities! We were lucky to be there (end Nov) when there was hardly anyone else around so we literally had the whole place to ourselves. The only downside is the daily buffet serves pretty much the same food so after a few meals it gets boring. To get out of the island, you will need to take a ferry but luckily some food options are available on the mainland...

Located on its own island truly gives it a full resort feel. It's a short boat ride across and the boat itself comes on a schedule and is always on time. Service I received was excellent, from handling your baggage, to room service, the staff are very attentive. The Italian restaurant was my family's favorite, every dish was expertly prepared and pizzas are made with an actual pizza oven.

Location: On an island, which was completely pointless and inconvenient. Service: Terrible. 1. Couldn't open the room door. 2. A staff member came, didn't say a single word. 3. The next morning, someone swiped their card and entered the room. They offered a free drink and a 30-minute late check-out, which showed absolutely no sincerity.

Nice place on an island. You are staying in a castle. the portion of food for room service is large in size & 2 person can share it… ferry service though and from the island is half hourly per trip and it runs 24 hours…

Revisited Novotel in December 2022. The crew is as friendly as ever, the room is well-kept and comfortable, and the pool is conveniently located on the first floor, just off the lobby. Everything about my stay was satisfying.

Huge luxurious hotel with 2 reception areas. Room was tastefully decorated with a huge bath tub even for a standard room. Breakfast choices was abundant and delicious. Receptionist was helpful in booking mini bus back to Hanoi which was the greatest relieve after the ordeal encountered at the Hanoi airport to get there.

We liked Wyndham Legend Hotel as we enjoyed the facilities and location close to Halong Bay Cruise Centre and facing seaside.

What a wonderful hotel and staff. Property is very clean, has a delicious breakfast and the staff (particularly Phuong) is amazing. Phuong welcomed us with very pleasant greeting and also checked us out. Our room was decorated for our anniversary which was a very nice touch. Such a wonderful employee. The property was comfortable and had great views. The breakfast was poor, we agreed a late checkout of 1pm and they rang at 12:20 telling us to get out, the restaurant in the evening is non existent. Good atmosphere and comfortable facilities

I often stay at this hotel, mainly because of its convenient parking and close proximity to nearby attractions. Besides the convenient transportation, the breakfast is also plentiful and satisfying. Overall, it's a hotel I would recommend.

Nice hotel, big suite room. Situated well away from anything. Early November, no infinity pool and no rooftop bar. Breakfast was china-centric, but enough items available for this Western boy. Spa was reasonably priced. It should have been super quiet, but there’s a beach party every night with booming bass techno “music” till around midnight.

It's so much fun. The facilities are clean and the food is delicious. Also, both the outdoor and indoor pools are clean and the water isn't cold, so I like it.

The location was good, not on the beach as we had hoped, but everything else was booked in the area. It was an easy walk to the neighbor restaurants and really not that far to the beach.

Massive hotel, looked like a ghost town as no one was around due to off peak season. Room in the villa was a little dated, clean however. Breakfast voucher was included but very limited choice for vege/vegan people. Spa was not even open having even asked. Staff in general were helpful

A very classy hotel with amazing views of Ha Long Bay on the upper levels. We were stunned when first opening our rooms curtains to see the Bay and its beauty right in front of us. The curved viewing windows in the room are amazing, allowing us the view 180⁰. What an amazing view to wake up to each morning...we'll never forget. The hotel environment was nice, but when I went to check in with my confirmed booking, they said there was no reservation. I waited in the lobby for 30 to 40 minutes. Then the front desk told us we'd get a free room upgrade, but instead of the 1.2-meter room with a single bed we booked, they upgraded us to a 0.9-meter room. I was speechless. It was a terrible experience.

Tuan Chau Resort is a great place for quiet relaxation. The location is good. Very close to the Tuan Chau port if you want to go on a cruise to Ha Long Bay. We first had some trouble with our room but the staff helped us and accommodated our request and moved us to a room with a great view. They are very friendly and helpful. Excellent!!! The room was large, clean and comfortable. There was also a driver who took us to a nearby restaurant and then took us back to the room after the meal. Very helpful staff! Lady at the front desk helped us with dinner/drinks recommendations. She also helped us book a Halong Bay cruise including transfer. Breakfast was nice as well :) the area is not filled with tourists which can be a plus depending on where you've been before. Lots of local food by the water and loads of coffee bars as well.

I like that it’s situated in a very quiet neighborhood, but still near the convenience store where you could get your midnight craving fix 😅 The receptionist was really helpful and always offered to help with grabbing a taxi, getting breakfast, etc. They allowed early check-in which is a bonus!

The hotel is well located within sea shore. You can walk and reach the Ha Long bay shore in 10 minutes. Breakfast is delicious with pho soup, english breakfast and yogurt. Seemed a bit pricey comparing to similar hotels around this area considering our budget.

This was the highest overall rating I've ever received among the 4-star hotels I've stayed at in the Bai Chay area. Many Japanese tourists also stayed there during the few days I was there, so I assume this hotel is one of those recommended by travel agencies. I've never been satisfied with similar hotels in the same area, but this was a stay that made me want to stay here again.

This hotel is located halfway up the mountain in Halong City. The sea view room has a great view. You can see the cruise ships on the beach, people playing parasailing, and the Halong Night Market. However, due to too many people staying, they are a bit neglected to take care of the tourists.

Great hotel, good size rooms and facilities.

The hotel needs to update the bathroom’s shower doors, the floors by toilet is leaking water, older wooden furnitures making noise s when we are used it. It’s very economical uses of electricity conservation. The food is very good buffet breakfast with many choices.

This is an older hotel, but the rooms and facilities are well-maintained. The Chinese staff are easy to communicate with, and the breakfast is decent. **Food used to be free, but now it's not, you have to pay. This is a bit exaggerated. We recently stayed at the hotel near the harbour and found the room comfortable, spacious and relaxing. However, the breakfast buffet was quite average, with limited variety and some items served cold, and there was no hot water dispenser available. With improvements to the breakfast quality and hot water supply, this hotel could offer a much better overall experience.​

The place is brand-new and the rooms and facilities are way better than the one we had back in Hanoi city center. We just had an overnight stay before doing the famed Ha Long Bay the next morning. Positive: Great location, nice room. You can see bay view from room. Negative : 2 bottoms of water in refrigerant was chargeable minibar but didn’t have any instruction in room or anywhere, then I need to pay 40,000 VND when check out as same as all other room of my friend. There were EDM music festival on the beach, noisy music until 1AM. Hard to sleep.

Check-in was smooth and fast. We stayed on the 8th floor and the room was clean and neat. At night, the rooms were not soundproof so it was a bit noisy but the noise died down. The breakfast buffet was good and the hotel is near the beach and restaurants.
