Great hotel. Nice gym to use aswell, quite basic but it gets the job done. Breakfast is nice and staff are very helpful. A bit away from old town but easily walkable in 10-15mins or so. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing hotel which is band in the middle of Boulevard Republika . Everything is walkable and the amenities and ambiance in the hotel is second to none . Must consider for a stay in Berat.
Beautiful and clean hotel. Very spacious rooms and a lovely pool. Note that you have to pay extra for the pool.
Very friendly staff, good and tasty breakfast, and conveniently close to the city center.
Definitely recommended!
A classy hotel. Everything was very good. I recommend it to everyone who visits Berat. 👍
We loved our room at Hotel Colombo. It was spacious. The hotel is viewable from most of the city areas. We were sad that the spa wasn’t open during the month we were there but we would visit again! The staff were lovely!
Fantastic, so grand they could have filmed “ The Shining” there!

We booked the day before our stay and were not disappointed. Place was on a main street and has its own parking. Next to a beautiful local mosque. We had room 101- so could hear alot of people checking out (lots of luggage rolling on tiled floors) in the morning. Try and get a room at the end of the corridor!
Portik hotel is very well located, the rooms are nice. The staff is helpful and always trying to help. There is a parking lot under the hotel.
The roof restaurant is a very nice place to have breakfast and dinner
All and all, I would recommend it.
The location couldn’t be better. Breakfast is quite standard but with an astonishing view over the city. The service and hygiene is a 6/10. Includes a garage which is great to park the car.
This hotel looks nice from the outside and the rooms are airy and spacious. But a few amenities are lacking. There is no drinking water provided, except at a cost, and there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The bathroom hand basin has no bench space on which to place a toilet bag. There is no in-room safe. As we are on a tour, i am unsure of the room rate, so can't assess value for...
had a wonderful stay at Portik Hotel in Berat! The room was very clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the old town. The staff were extremely kind and helpful during my entire stay. I really enjoyed the breakfast – everything was fresh and delicious. The location was perfect for exploring the city. I truly felt welcomed and relaxed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berat
Slightly old fashioned hotel, BUT excellent service. Erik was incredibly helpful and gave great service. Great guy! Fabulous rooftop restaurant with great views. Food was fine. Had evening meal elswhere as special event at hotel - a bit annoying!

Quaint family-run boutique hotel. The owners are wonderful! We were the only guests and they made us a tremendous breakfast spread. The room was clean and comfortable with a balcony to sit and enjoy the evening.
While traveling in Albania I have met the most wonderful people. Hotel Kaceli was no different. I found a friendly family atmosphere right from the beginning. I felt spoiled by their kind service and attention to detail. The many family-made products at the huge breakfast only added to the charm and to my enjoyment. Hotel Kaceli served as a wonderful home base to explore the charming town of Berat...
The hotel is unique, with a classic style and a wood theme. The hallways are decorated with many distinctive paintings. The only downside is that the hotel rooms are on the basement level, which feels a bit dark and gloomy.
This hotel is absolute gem. A family run hotel and everyone was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is so easy into the old city and the castle. The rooms are very quaint, comfortable and very rustic in feeling with a lot of effort out into small details. The breakfast was amazing full of local delicacies and products made proudly by the owners. Definitely a place to stay when you visit...
We choose this property due to its convenient location to the bus station. Buses into the Old Town run regularly. The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating.
Room was clean, staff were friendly and included breakfast was nice.
The room was spacious, and the bathroom was also large and very clean. This stay exceeded my expectations. The facilities were complete, the environment was beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and pleasant, with a large yard in front and an orchard in the back. The night was peaceful and serene; it was the first time I slept so soundly on this trip.

We had a very nice time here in the Hotel Gega. The breakfast was also very nice and had many options. The hotel is only a short walk away from the historical center and the rooms are quite nice. The only issue we had was the shower that splashed everywhere due to the lack of a closed shower cabin, but we have noticed that this is almost always the case here in Albania. The hotel staff is really sweet...
We were a bit disappointed with the hotel. The staff were friendly, especially the housekeeper. The continental breakfast had some tasty options. It's in a convenient location.
But the shower was a mess and got water everywhere, no matter what we did. The bathroom reeked of a sewer smell. The front door was difficult to lock and unlock using the key. The tv didn't work. No elevator was a bummer.
...
Location is fantastic, staff is very nice and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable. Only caveat is very weak wi-fi, but sometimes it is great to be off the grid!
I loved Berat and my stay at Hotel Gega! The hotel has an amazing location, and service! They have a very good breakfast. And their team that is the best: so helpful, kind, oriented to details 🤩🙏 Special thanks to Sibora and Rei, and Bledi and Liria they are so amazing ! Thank you 🙏🤩🤗
The hotel has great location and good price/quality ratio. It is located near the center and so close to the old town. You have free parking in front of the hotel.
The hotel was clean and friendly staff.
Breakfast one the best in the country.

Excellent place to stay close to all places. Hotel management very helpfull. Thanks
The hotel is very centrally located right on the Boulevard and has many restaurants and cafe in the surrounding. The check in was very quick and hassle free. The service of all the office staff throughout our stay was outstanding. The rooms are spacious, well lit and airy. The linen was good quality and the breakfast was delicious and good variety. I will definitely recommend.
It has been the best hotel in Albania, all was perfect: clean and big room, breakfast, location, etc. I'd like to say thank you to all the kind and helpful staff, he even park our car inside the hotel, we had a lovely stay in Berat!
Awesome spot! The owner is such a friendly guy and the hotel is right where you want to be. Clean rooms and excellent hospitality. There is a great street of bars and restaurants down the road. There patio is a good one lace for drinks and relaxing.
I visited the beautiful city of Berat with my wife and we decided to stay for 2 nights in Orestiada hotel. The hotel is new, in the center of city, the place is quite, the view of Mangalem and the Castle is spectacular. The breakfast was really delicious and the service is top.The owners love what they do and their son Remi is ready to help you at any moment.Great experience
We stayed one night at this nice hotel. Location is perfect in Boulevard Republica. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's a kind of family business. The room is good and simple. A/C was not working properly, so they changed my room to Room 203. Good room with nice view to the boulevard where many people walk all the day. Wi-Fi is excellent. An amazing place to stay especially value for money. For wine lovers is the best place to test, drink and stay.
Amazing hotel, rooms are very spaceous, built in neoclassic style, breakfast is served in large quantities, staff is alway there to help and very positive, hotel is well maintained and incredibly clean in all facilities.Menagment staff work hard to fulfill their guests needs and are very helpful. Thank Belagrita for your generosity!
Great hotel, the staff were very proffesional and helpful, very clean hotel .
I dont understand where these negative reviews come from, we had a great conversation with owners and they were very welcoming girls and open minded, they helped me for everything i asked.they also have their winery and the wines that we tried were amazing.
The hotel is ok, too gaudy for my taste but clean and with easy access (you come in through the gas station US roadside model style).
The room was big, clean and seemed well maintained though sparsely decorated, great contest with the common areas that are filled with gold details and kitsch decor.

A really fantastic venue, with super friendly staff and it was great value for money. I cannot recommend highly enough.
Modern hotel, large minimalist rooms. Good modern shower. Hotel is out of town on a busy road but no road noise in rooms. There is a more traditional taverna across the road if you do not want to eat dinner in hotel. Good breakfast in hotel. Beware, there are bottles of water in fridge and no price list displayed but some members of our party were charged 1 euro per bottle on checkout.
The hotel is very grand and somewhat impersonal, more of a business hotel. It is a way out of town so unless you have transport you will be stuck there away from bars and restaurants. A bit of sharp practice they charge 1 euro a bottle for the water in the fridge on checkout. There is no notice advising of this charge which, in a country where you can't drink the tap water, is a bit stingy for such...
This hotel is a barn of a place. Everything is large. Nice large room with equally large bathroom. TV, Wi-Fi and fridge all good but no tea/coffee. Hotel is a drive away from Berat and on a very busy road. Many of the staff do not speak English. In our room we had a fridge and in it were 2 bottles of water. As we were not near any major shops we assumed they were complimentary also there was no price...
Never stayed at the hotel but ate in Garden Grand quite a few times during 2 week stay. Pasta dishes were delicious and had a huge cheese and meat platter one evening. Excellent prices. I definitely return next year.
The room overlooked a brown field, but very correctly! Great breakfast!

I was with friends at this hotel for two nights earlier this week in March 2026, as part of our short first visit to Albania. We found the country to be full of surpises, pleasant ones, and we were particularly struck by the photogenic city of Berat and by Hotel Mangalemi, where we were lodged. Berat proved wonderful and so was this very well located historic hotel. Rooms and facilities were excellent...
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mangalemi. Everything was perfect — the location in the heart of Berat, the beautiful views, the food, and the rooms. The breakfast was excellent and the service was incredible. A special thank you to Gori, who served breakfast, helped us with our suitcases, and did everything he could to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Truly a lovely experience and a place we...
Stayed here 4 nights with my family, later joined by a group of friends who stayed one night,
everyone was exceptionally happy and full of praises for this family run boutique hotel!
the staff was very attentive ,
the rooms were attended every day,
the beds were super king sized and very comfortable,
the breakfast was amazing,
but what made it a wonderful experience was the smile on everyone’s face...
This hotel was a delight from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. A welcome drink of Raki before being shown to my room which had a balcony overlooking the hills. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly - and the breakfast was delicious - especially the tomato/cottage cheese/pepper recipe!! 7/11 across the road for snacks as well as several gift shops. Klisman especially was very helpful...
You cannot review Eastern European hotels with the same eye used on Western hotels. They are different. The staff was very accommodating; the owner was onsite. It is an older eclectic hotel with something to see around every corner. It has a medieval / Arabic feel to it. There is a market across the street from the hotel. Lots of impressive stonework and impressive wood in the rooms. I enjoyed my stay...
We booked Hotel Mangalemi because of its great ratings and wonderful comments from other travelers — and it truly lived up to our expectations!
Our only regret is that one day wasn’t enough to fully enjoy the stay. We arrived late and had to leave the next day, but even in that short time, we could already see why this hotel is so loved.
The location is excellent, just a short walk from the castle...

If you are planning a trip to the beautiful city of Berat, I cannot recommend Hotel Onufri highly enough. From the moment we arrived, our experience was absolutely fantastic. I was very impressed with this hotel. It is clear the ownership takes pride in their hotel and wants their guests to have a great experience. The decor was phenomenal and true to traditional Albania. The room was very large and spacious, traditional Albanian decor, and the ceiling is hand crafted design. Our room on the first floor had large windows and a beautiful view of the mountains. The staff...
A beautiful place to stay with amazing breakfast
A beautiful hotel, well located, amazing breakfast, and friendly staff. There's lots of choices in Berat but I recommend this one!
The hotel was very nice, beautifully decorated and neat. The breakfast was a bit confusing since they didn’t give any portions and you knew the dishes only after they served them to the table. But overall experience very nice though.
The location of the hotel is perfect and close to Berat castle. The hotel is beautiful with authentic Albanian architectural style preserved in the smallest details. The staff is very polite, friendly and professional. The breakfast was great and there are multiple restaurants and dining options nearby the hotel. Excellent service and staff and amazing traditional property. We highly recommend this...

Absolutely excellent hospitality. We felt very welcome. The rooms were fantastic (with awesome views), the breakfast was delicious, the location is central and the hosts were incredibly kind and attentive. Would happily stay again when next in Berat!
Very good location, close to the center and with all facilities nearby. Beautiful view from the room. The room was very comfortable and clean. Cozy restaurant and delicious food. And above all very positive and helpful staff. Completely satisfied with the stay at this hotel
The hotel was lovely, staff were great and very attentive and helpful. Free parking available on site. Room was clean with towels, shower gels and slippers provided. The views from the hotel room were lovely, overlooking the town and mountains. Breakfast was lovely with a good variety and great coffee, they also had oat milk as an alternative. Lovely location in a nice area of Berat close to the centre...

Our original booking in Berat was cancelled - and what a stroke of luck that turned out to be! We couldn't have ended up at a better place than Hotel Rezidenca Desaret. It's a lovely family-run hotel where service is truly a top priority. The whole family is so welcoming, especially the two young women who work incredibly hard and go above and...
Located at the start of the steep street up to the castle, this family run place is super welcoming and helpful. Rooms are modern but the one we were in (# 111) was smallish. All amenities work well and parking is available. Breakfasts were a standout and served with panache. It is an easy walk into the centre of town, but a trudge up to the castle unless you have a car (we did). We loved this place...

Nice place to have Albanian food by riverside. Best service I have found all across Albania. I only went for lunch, didn’t stay in the hotel.
We ordered the traditional fixed menu since it’s perfect for tourists who can’t decide. The view is lovely, the service is great, and the food is absolutely delicious.
Service was excellent. The room itself was spacious but given its historical status, the bathroom door was quite flimsy. The place was otherwise clean and perfectly located. The hotel is spread across several buildings. There are quite a few steps uphill- so I wouldn't say this is wheelchair friendly. Breakfast was excellent. The cleaner in the morning was very loud on the phone while cleaning the...
Me and my friends enjoyed our lunch here. We were served with delicious and large portion of grilled meats with chips and salad, it was really good value. The view of the Berat old town from the restaurant is amazing. We also got good and efficient service from the staff, specifically our fellow Filipino Stephen. Definitely the highlight of our tour in Berat and looking forward to come back.
Perfect location in the historic center of Berat. The hotel is a group of old houses with typical decoration. We stayed in a room located in the so-called museum. Typical decor. Bed not very comfortable, but pleasant. Good bathroom. Windows with fabulous views of the river and the other bank of Berat. Please note that access to these rooms is via a steep slope. Difficult to carry luggage. If you have...
The location is fabulous. We stayed in one of the "museum" rooms that is above and separate from the restaurant and main hotel with exceptional views, especially at night. Parking was on the street below (in one of only 2 spaces reserved by the hotel). Please bear in mind that it is a very steep climb (up steps then a narrow cobbled path) to get to these rooms, so getting cases/bags up/down, or...

Excellent location across the river, away from the noise of traffic and bars but 2 mins walk away from the centre. Free parking. Simple, basic accommodation, well maintained with air conditioning within the local style. Overall staff was friendly but didn't go the extra mile to offer advice or help with luggage. There’s nothing more beautiful than sipping a cocktail with friends while soaking in the breathtaking view of Mangalem by night.

We had a great experience at the Muzaka wine bar. We tried several types of local and Italian wines, but the one we liked the most was the Italian Costago wine. Would reccomand 100%
Best hotel in Berat.. cosy rooms, great people, delicious food.. i have stayed in Muzakanfor very long time, its been a wonderful time spend at Muzaka hotel. The pictoresque view pf Mangalem, adds more reason why to choose Muzaka Hotel. AWESOME..
I had an exceptional dining and breakfast experience at Muzaka. The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch. The staff was incredibly polite and attentive, making the whole experience delightful. A special mention to Marleo and Bruno, whose excellent service truly stood out. Their professionalism and friendliness added a memorable touch to our meal. I highly recommend Muzaka for anyone...
