Great hotel. Nice gym to use aswell, quite basic but it gets the job done. Breakfast is nice and staff are very helpful. A bit away from old town but easily walkable in 10-15mins or so. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing hotel which is band in the middle of Boulevard Republika . Everything is walkable and the amenities and ambiance in the hotel is second to none . Must consider for a stay in Berat.
Beautiful and clean hotel. Very spacious rooms and a lovely pool. Note that you have to pay extra for the pool. Very friendly staff, good and tasty breakfast, and conveniently close to the city center. Definitely recommended!
A classy hotel. Everything was very good. I recommend it to everyone who visits Berat. 👍
We loved our room at Hotel Colombo. It was spacious. The hotel is viewable from most of the city areas. We were sad that the spa wasn’t open during the month we were there but we would visit again! The staff were lovely!
Fantastic, so grand they could have filmed “ The Shining” there!

Berat, Lagjia"28 Nentori, Rruga Antipatrea (in the centre) 🧭 Map
We booked the day before our stay and were not disappointed. Place was on a main street and has its own parking. Next to a beautiful local mosque. We had room 101- so could hear alot of people checking out (lots of luggage rolling on tiled floors) in the morning. Try and get a room at the end of the corridor!
Portik hotel is very well located, the rooms are nice. The staff is helpful and always trying to help. There is a parking lot under the hotel. The roof restaurant is a very nice place to have breakfast and dinner All and all, I would recommend it.
The location couldn’t be better. Breakfast is quite standard but with an astonishing view over the city. The service and hygiene is a 6/10. Includes a garage which is great to park the car.
This hotel looks nice from the outside and the rooms are airy and spacious. But a few amenities are lacking. There is no drinking water provided, except at a cost, and there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The bathroom hand basin has no bench space on which to place a toilet bag. There is no in-room safe. As we are on a tour, i am unsure of the room rate, so can't assess value for...
had a wonderful stay at Portik Hotel in Berat! The room was very clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the old town. The staff were extremely kind and helpful during my entire stay. I really enjoyed the breakfast – everything was fresh and delicious. The location was perfect for exploring the city. I truly felt welcomed and relaxed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berat
Slightly old fashioned hotel, BUT excellent service. Erik was incredibly helpful and gave great service. Great guy! Fabulous rooftop restaurant with great views. Food was fine. Had evening meal elswhere as special event at hotel - a bit annoying!

Quaint family-run boutique hotel. The owners are wonderful! We were the only guests and they made us a tremendous breakfast spread. The room was clean and comfortable with a balcony to sit and enjoy the evening.
While traveling in Albania I have met the most wonderful people. Hotel Kaceli was no different. I found a friendly family atmosphere right from the beginning. I felt spoiled by their kind service and attention to detail. The many family-made products at the huge breakfast only added to the charm and to my enjoyment. Hotel Kaceli served as a wonderful home base to explore the charming town of Berat...
The hotel is unique, with a classic style and a wood theme. The hallways are decorated with many distinctive paintings. The only downside is that the hotel rooms are on the basement level, which feels a bit dark and gloomy.
This hotel is absolute gem. A family run hotel and everyone was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is so easy into the old city and the castle. The rooms are very quaint, comfortable and very rustic in feeling with a lot of effort out into small details. The breakfast was amazing full of local delicacies and products made proudly by the owners. Definitely a place to stay when you visit...
We choose this property due to its convenient location to the bus station. Buses into the Old Town run regularly. The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. Room was clean, staff were friendly and included breakfast was nice.
The room was spacious, and the bathroom was also large and very clean. This stay exceeded my expectations. The facilities were complete, the environment was beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and pleasant, with a large yard in front and an orchard in the back. The night was peaceful and serene; it was the first time I slept so soundly on this trip.

We had a very nice time here in the Hotel Gega. The breakfast was also very nice and had many options. The hotel is only a short walk away from the historical center and the rooms are quite nice. The only issue we had was the shower that splashed everywhere due to the lack of a closed shower cabin, but we have noticed that this is almost always the case here in Albania. The hotel staff is really sweet...
We were a bit disappointed with the hotel. The staff were friendly, especially the housekeeper. The continental breakfast had some tasty options. It's in a convenient location. But the shower was a mess and got water everywhere, no matter what we did. The bathroom reeked of a sewer smell. The front door was difficult to lock and unlock using the key. The tv didn't work. No elevator was a bummer. ...
Location is fantastic, staff is very nice and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable. Only caveat is very weak wi-fi, but sometimes it is great to be off the grid!
I loved Berat and my stay at Hotel Gega! The hotel has an amazing location, and service! They have a very good breakfast. And their team that is the best: so helpful, kind, oriented to details 🤩🙏 Special thanks to Sibora and Rei, and Bledi and Liria they are so amazing ! Thank you 🙏🤩🤗
The hotel has great location and good price/quality ratio. It is located near the center and so close to the old town. You have free parking in front of the hotel. The hotel was clean and friendly staff.

The hotel is very centrally located right on the Boulevard and has many restaurants and cafe in the surrounding. The check in was very quick and hassle free. The service of all the office staff throughout our stay was outstanding. The rooms are spacious, well lit and airy. The linen was good quality and the breakfast was delicious and good variety. I will definitely recommend.
It has been the best hotel in Albania, all was perfect: clean and big room, breakfast, location, etc. I'd like to say thank you to all the kind and helpful staff, he even park our car inside the hotel, we had a lovely stay in Berat!
Awesome spot! The owner is such a friendly guy and the hotel is right where you want to be. Clean rooms and excellent hospitality. There is a great street of bars and restaurants down the road. There patio is a good one lace for drinks and relaxing.

Amazing hotel, rooms are very spaceous, built in neoclassic style, breakfast is served in large quantities, staff is alway there to help and very positive, hotel is well maintained and incredibly clean in all facilities.Menagment staff work hard to fulfill their guests needs and are very helpful. Thank Belagrita for your generosity!
Great hotel, the staff were very proffesional and helpful, very clean hotel . I dont understand where these negative reviews come from, we had a great conversation with owners and they were very welcoming girls and open minded, they helped me for everything i asked.they also have their winery and the wines that we tried were amazing.
The hotel is ok, too gaudy for my taste but clean and with easy access (you come in through the gas station US roadside model style). The room was big, clean and seemed well maintained though sparsely decorated, great contest with the common areas that are filled with gold details and kitsch decor.

the location is great, walk to everything. breakfast is very nice. I had problems w housekeeping. when I was arrived I was put in a room where the air conditioning didn't work and the toilet seat was broken. now if you cleaned a toilet you would know a toilet seat is broken and report it. I had to report to staff the toilet seat was broken. at the time. I didn't realize the air conditioner didn't work...
There were some issues with the hotel. Free parking was not available at check in, the room didn't have a balcony as booked, the room given had the AC and the toilet defective..etc. People were very prompt to deal with issues, came with me to find the parking, even carrying my luggage. My rating is more for people than the hotel. Hotel is old and dated. It has a great location and the view was amazing...
The hotel boasts an excellent location. We were able to use the free parking and walk everywhere. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Breakfast on the rooftop was enjoyable. However, it was a pity that the bathroom wasn't up-to-date and lacked a curtain, causing the room to get very bright early in the morning. Despite these minor points, we had a superb mountain view. A really fantastic venue, with super friendly staff and it was great value for money. I cannot recommend highly enough.
Modern hotel, large minimalist rooms. Good modern shower. Hotel is out of town on a busy road but no road noise in rooms. There is a more traditional taverna across the road if you do not want to eat dinner in hotel. Good breakfast in hotel. Beware, there are bottles of water in fridge and no price list displayed but some members of our party were charged 1 euro per bottle on checkout.
The hotel is very grand and somewhat impersonal, more of a business hotel. It is a way out of town so unless you have transport you will be stuck there away from bars and restaurants. A bit of sharp practice they charge 1 euro a bottle for the water in the fridge on checkout. There is no notice advising of this charge which, in a country where you can't drink the tap water, is a bit stingy for such...
This hotel is a barn of a place. Everything is large. Nice large room with equally large bathroom. TV, Wi-Fi and fridge all good but no tea/coffee. The perfect spot in the heart of Berat offering the best view of the town, very delicious traditional food, and exceptional warm hospitality! Thank you, Gabriela, for making our evening amazing!
We had a lovely scenic lunch at the restaurant here. Tasty dishes, friendly service and splendid views from the panoramic terrace. Indoors looked nice, too, with a traditional decor.
Amazing restaurant. The upstairs area is very cozy with a stunning view of the city. Relaxing music plays in the background, making it a perfect atmosphere. The local food is 10 out of 10 and the service is also 10 out of 10.
Very nice place, friendly host, comfortable room, perfect stay 😊

Lovely helpful host who came to meet us when we got lost! Walkable from beach, restaurants and bars. Lovely lively area but also quiet once you’re in the apartment. We shared the triple room and it was perfect for what we wanted. Lovely spacious balcony also
We stayed for 2 nights. Really nice place with good service. The lady that runs the hotel is super sweet. She helped us with everything, the breakfast was delicious.
Cozy Bed&Breakfast roughly 10 min walk to Berat's center. A friendly family manages the place and they make sure you have everything you need during your stay. Good quality price service
Located 1 km from the city center, this hotel is ideally located. The very large balcony is a plus. Great continental breakfast. The establishment is very quiet. Note the great kindness and discretion of the hosts.
The owners were lovely, They made me feel safe and welcomed.
Best experience I have ever had in Albania. Booking was simple, you just book and the owner will show you to your room. I have traveled to Albania 6 times and this booking for me was the best. Great service and Food. Would highly recommend renting a car from Tirana Airport if you’re flying in. Visit nearby attractions such as the castle of Berat and other villages.

I was with friends at this hotel for two nights earlier this week in March 2026, as part of our short first visit to Albania. We found the country to be full of surpises, pleasant ones, and we were particularly struck by the photogenic city of Berat and by Hotel Mangalemi, where we were lodged. Berat proved wonderful and so was this very well located historic hotel. Rooms and facilities were excellent...
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mangalemi. Everything was perfect — the location in the heart of Berat, the beautiful views, the food, and the rooms. The breakfast was excellent and the service was incredible. A special thank you to Gori, who served breakfast, helped us with our suitcases, and did everything he could to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Truly a lovely experience and a place we...
Stayed here 4 nights with my family, later joined by a group of friends who stayed one night, everyone was exceptionally happy and full of praises for this family run boutique hotel! the staff was very attentive , the rooms were attended every day, the beds were super king sized and very comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, but what made it a wonderful experience was the smile on everyone’s face...
This hotel was a delight from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. A welcome drink of Raki before being shown to my room which had a balcony overlooking the hills. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly - and the breakfast was delicious - especially the tomato/cottage cheese/pepper recipe!! 7/11 across the road for snacks as well as several gift shops. Klisman especially was very helpful...
You cannot review Eastern European hotels with the same eye used on Western hotels. They are different. The staff was very accommodating; the owner was onsite. It is an older eclectic hotel with something to see around every corner. It has a medieval / Arabic feel to it. There is a market across the street from the hotel. Lots of impressive stonework and impressive wood in the rooms. I enjoyed my stay...
We booked Hotel Mangalemi because of its great ratings and wonderful comments from other travelers — and it truly lived up to our expectations! Our only regret is that one day wasn’t enough to fully enjoy the stay. We arrived late and had to leave the next day, but even in that short time, we could already see why this hotel is so loved. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the castle...

Family trip with 4 rooms. Amazing service, rooms exemplary clean and spacious. Located in the main square. Thank you for the experience.
The hotel is in the best location. We received a complimentary room upgrade, and the room was very clean and spacious. The staff were friendly, and we were also given the possibility of a late check-out, which was a big advantage for us. Overall, we had a great experience.
Disability accessible. Very clean and modern. Spacious rooms and friendly staff. Good location close to pedestrian boulevard and main street. The breakfast is ok, but not great selection, thus 4/5 stars.
Updated hotel with a large room, comfortable bed, a terrace, and a modern bathroom. Medium quality beakfast was included, but sadly, the coffee was not up to the usual Albanian quality and there was no coffee service in the room. Friendly staff in the restaurant and at the reception desk. Conveniently located right off of the main promenade and close to the river.
Very nice hotel, the staff are pleasant, the room is clean, and the breakfast is decent! The hotel's location is one of its strengths: right in the center! One small downside is that the parking lot is rather small, which can be inconvenient! I recommend this hotel!
The hotel is located by one of the plazas near the river. The room was okay but it faced the street and was noisy. The bathroom was a challenge. No place for putting personal toiletries and the toilet paper was on the opposite wall across from the toilet. Breakfast was okay. There is only one small elevater which causes a traffic jam when groups depart.

It’s one of many citadels on the hill surrounded by walls, typical to this region. The walks and sights are really nice, but apart from a few small churches (most are closed) and a lovely icon museum there’s not much to see here. Absolutely lovey, family-run hotel. Just beautiful. Staff were great, messaging me clear info on how to locate the hotel and even offering to come meet me. Room was spotless with the most stunning view. Fantastic breakfast spread which I was able to enjoy out on their patio. Amazingly good value.

Only great things to list: Private parking organised by the host View on the cathedral from your bed The best bed ever, felt like sleeping on a cloud. The room is gigantic and the bathroom is amazing! Access to the private terrace with the view on Berat, and a second private terrace for a really good breakfast. Highly recommended!
Amazing accommodation in Berat! The views are idyllic and the service is excellent. Breakfast was extensive with fruits, yoghurt, bread, local food and so on. The staff was very friendly and supplied extra information about things to do and where to eat. Bed and shower were also very comfortable. Walking distance to the old city centre. Only downside of the pretty location, is the few parking availabilities

Staff were friendly and helpful too, also want to shout out the small, slightly anonymous looking coffee shop just to the right at the bottom of the lane, best espresso I had on the trip so far.
