Berat, Rruga. Antipetrea, Lagjja 10 Korriku (in the centre) 🧭 Map
We had a very nice time here in the Hotel Gega. The breakfast was also very nice and had many options. The hotel is only a short walk away from the historical center and the rooms are quite nice. The only issue we had was the shower that splashed everywhere due to the lack of a closed shower cabin, but we have noticed that this is almost always the case here in Albania. The hotel staff is really sweet...
We were a bit disappointed with the hotel. The staff were friendly, especially the housekeeper. The continental breakfast had some tasty options. It's in a convenient location.
But the shower was a mess and got water everywhere, no matter what we did. The bathroom reeked of a sewer smell. The front door was difficult to lock and unlock using the key. The tv didn't work. No elevator was a bummer.
...
Location is fantastic, staff is very nice and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable. Only caveat is very weak wi-fi, but sometimes it is great to be off the grid!
I loved Berat and my stay at Hotel Gega! The hotel has an amazing location, and service! They have a very good breakfast. And their team that is the best: so helpful, kind, oriented to details 🤩🙏 Special thanks to Sibora and Rei, and Bledi and Liria they are so amazing ! Thank you 🙏🤩🤗
The hotel has great location and good price/quality ratio. It is located near the center and so close to the old town. You have free parking in front of the hotel.
The hotel was clean and friendly staff.
Breakfast one the best in the country.

the location is great, walk to everything. breakfast is very nice. I had problems w housekeeping. when I was arrived I was put in a room where the air conditioning didn't work and the toilet seat was broken. now if you cleaned a toilet you would know a toilet seat is broken and report it. I had to report to staff the toilet seat was broken. at the time. I didn't realize the air conditioner didn't work...
There were some issues with the hotel. Free parking was not available at check in, the room didn't have a balcony as booked, the room given had the AC and the toilet defective..etc. People were very prompt to deal with issues, came with me to find the parking, even carrying my luggage. My rating is more for people than the hotel. Hotel is old and dated. It has a great location and the view was amazing...
The hotel boasts an excellent location. We were able to use the free parking and walk everywhere. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly.
Breakfast on the rooftop was enjoyable. However, it was a pity that the bathroom wasn't up-to-date and lacked a curtain, causing the room to get very bright early in the morning.
Despite these minor points, we had a superb mountain view.
Otherwise, everything...
This hotel was amazing. The food was delicious, fresh and the staff was very kind and welcoming. Me and my family loved it, we had a very good time. It was a familiar place. I suggest this to everyone. If you visit Berat don’t forget to pass by. This were my favourite dishes.
Very nice hotel situated on the boulevard next to the park and the river. Conveniently placed for visiting the castle and the old parts of the town but also close to the shops and many cafes, bars and restaurants. I had a large double room with king size bed that was very comfortable, table and chairs, dressing table and separate wardrobe area. The bathroom is luxurious with bath and overhead shower...
We received a very warm welcome. The room was beautiful and spacious, offering a stunning view of the city. The hotel is ideally located at the foot of the old town. The breakfast was excellent. Overall, this hotel offers fantastic value for money. It was a delightful surprise and a truly enjoyable experience.

An amazing place to stay especially value for money. For wine lovers is the best place to test, drink and stay.
Amazing hotel, rooms are very spaceous, built in neoclassic style, breakfast is served in large quantities, staff is alway there to help and very positive, hotel is well maintained and incredibly clean in all facilities.Menagment staff work hard to fulfill their guests needs and are very helpful. Thank Belagrita for your generosity!
Great hotel, the staff were very proffesional and helpful, very clean hotel .
I dont understand where these negative reviews come from, we had a great conversation with owners and they were very welcoming girls and open minded, they helped me for everything i asked.they also have their winery and the wines that we tried were amazing.
The hotel is ok, too gaudy for my taste but clean and with easy access (you come in through the gas station US roadside model style).
The room was big, clean and seemed well maintained though sparsely decorated, great contest with the common areas that are filled with gold details and kitsch decor.

Bad air condicition good people
The area was great and hotel were very characterful, especially the lobby area which was delightfully heritage in it's design and appearance. The room was a great size and was very comfortable with a great view and original styled wooden shutters. The room was however very cold at times, the heating was not adequate for a room of that size. The room could also do with some upgrades such as a fridge...
Clean, amazing castle style interior and comfortable bed
A characterful place to stay in a great location. Simple but clean and comfortable rooms, making the place good value.
Excellent location in a traditional house in lovely little street.
EXCELENTE RELACION CALIDAD PRECIO. UBICACION EXCEL
El hotel superó las expectativas puesto que tenía un precio muy bajo para su ubicación y hacia dudar. Sorprendió gratamente el lugar puesto que es muy tradicional, original y está muy limpio todo.

Great hotel. Nice gym to use aswell, quite basic but it gets the job done. Breakfast is nice and staff are very helpful. A bit away from old town but easily walkable in 10-15mins or so. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing hotel which is band in the middle of Boulevard Republika . Everything is walkable and the amenities and ambiance in the hotel is second to none . Must consider for a stay in Berat.
Beautiful and clean hotel. Very spacious rooms and a lovely pool. Note that you have to pay extra for the pool.
Very friendly staff, good and tasty breakfast, and conveniently close to the city center.
Definitely recommended!
A classy hotel. Everything was very good. I recommend it to everyone who visits Berat. 👍
We loved our room at Hotel Colombo. It was spacious. The hotel is viewable from most of the city areas. We were sad that the spa wasn’t open during the month we were there but we would visit again! The staff were lovely!

If you are planning a trip to the beautiful city of Berat, I cannot recommend Hotel Onufri highly enough. From the moment we arrived, our experience was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is perfectly situated right in the heart of the historic Mangalem quarter, and while navigating the steep cobblestone streets can be an adventure, the incredibly helpful staff made everything completely stress-free....
I was very impressed with this hotel. It is clear the ownership takes pride in their hotel and wants their guests to have a great experience. The decor was phenomenal and true to traditional Albania. The room was very large and spacious, traditional Albanian decor, and the ceiling is hand crafted design. Our room on the first floor had large windows and a beautiful view of the mountains. The staff...
A beautiful place to stay with amazing breakfast
A beautiful hotel, well located, amazing breakfast, and friendly staff. There's lots of choices in Berat but I recommend this one!
The hotel was very nice, beautifully decorated and neat. The breakfast was a bit confusing since they didn’t give any portions and you knew the dishes only after they served them to the table. But overall experience very nice though.
The location of the hotel is perfect and close to Berat castle. The hotel is beautiful with authentic Albanian architectural style preserved in the smallest details. The staff is very polite, friendly and professional. The breakfast was great and there are multiple restaurants and dining options nearby the hotel. Excellent service and staff and amazing traditional property. We highly recommend this...

We booked the day before our stay and were not disappointed. Place was on a main street and has its own parking. Next to a beautiful local mosque. We had room 101- so could hear alot of people checking out (lots of luggage rolling on tiled floors) in the morning. Try and get a room at the end of the corridor!
Portik hotel is very well located, the rooms are nice. The staff is helpful and always trying to help. There is a parking lot under the hotel.
The roof restaurant is a very nice place to have breakfast and dinner
All and all, I would recommend it.
The location couldn’t be better. Breakfast is quite standard but with an astonishing view over the city. The service and hygiene is a 6/10. Includes a garage which is great to park the car.
This hotel looks nice from the outside and the rooms are airy and spacious. But a few amenities are lacking. There is no drinking water provided, except at a cost, and there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The bathroom hand basin has no bench space on which to place a toilet bag. There is no in-room safe. As we are on a tour, i am unsure of the room rate, so can't assess value for...
had a wonderful stay at Portik Hotel in Berat! The room was very clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the old town. The staff were extremely kind and helpful during my entire stay. Family trip with 4 rooms. Amazing service, rooms exemplary clean and spacious. Located in the main square. Thank you for the experience.
The hotel is in the best location. We received a complimentary room upgrade, and the room was very clean and spacious. The staff were friendly, and we were also given the possibility of a late check-out, which was a big advantage for us. Overall, we had a great experience.
Disability accessible.
Very clean and modern.
Spacious rooms and friendly staff.
Good location close to pedestrian boulevard and main street.
The breakfast is ok, but not great selection, thus 4/5 stars.
Updated hotel with a large room, comfortable bed, a terrace, and a modern bathroom. Medium quality beakfast was included, but sadly, the coffee was not up to the usual Albanian quality and there was no coffee service in the room. Friendly staff in the restaurant and at the reception desk. Conveniently located right off of the main promenade and close to the river.
Very nice hotel, the staff are pleasant, the room is clean, and the breakfast is decent!
The hotel's location is one of its strengths: right in the center!
One small downside is that the parking lot is rather small, which can be inconvenient!
I recommend this hotel!
The hotel is located by one of the plazas near the river. The room was okay but it faced the street and was noisy. The bathroom was a challenge. No place for putting personal toiletries and the toilet paper was on the opposite wall across from the toilet. Breakfast was okay. There is only one small elevater which causes a traffic jam when groups depart.

Quality place in the old town just on the edge of the mountainside and all the cobbled laneways.

Note on parking - as in old town limited ability to park directly at place. Parking arranged at a space 5-10 minute walk away. But hotel has arrangement with parking place and will facilitate payment.
we were pretty happy with our assigned room, except that we had to walk 3 flights of stairs to get to it. There was no kettle but we were given one when we requested. No table, so we had to place the kettle on the floor to boil our water.

Great hotel in Berat. Easy walking access to the main pedestrian street with great shops and restaurants. Excellent price, will stay again .
Such a lovely and authentic place. The location is spot on, right next to the 1000 windows view point.
The owners are very lovely and are willing to help with anything you need. We didn't have a parking spot, so he just took the car to the private parking spot(cost 2€) and brought it back the next morning.
Home like breakfast that the lady prepared just for us and chocolate milk for the kids.
Conveniently located next to the Bachelor Mosque and at the head of the main bridge, I was a bit worried that it might be too noisy. But even with a room facing the street it was very quiet at night. While traveling in Albania I have met the most wonderful people. Hotel Kaceli was no different. I found a friendly family atmosphere right from the beginning. Hotel Kaceli served as a wonderful home base to explore the charming town of Berat...
The hotel is unique, with a classic style and a wood theme. The hallways are decorated with many distinctive paintings. The only downside is that the hotel rooms are on the basement level, which feels a bit dark and gloomy.
This hotel is absolute gem. A family run hotel and everyone was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is so easy into the old city and the castle. The rooms are very quaint, comfortable and very rustic in feeling with a lot of effort out into small details. The breakfast was amazing full of local delicacies and products made proudly by the owners. Definitely a place to stay when you visit...
We choose this property due to its convenient location to the bus station. Buses into the Old Town run regularly. The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating.

A really fantastic venue, with super friendly staff and it was great value for money. I cannot recommend highly enough.
Modern hotel, large minimalist rooms. Good modern shower. Hotel is out of town on a busy road but no road noise in rooms. There is a more traditional taverna across the road if you do not want to eat dinner in hotel. Good breakfast in hotel. Beware, there are bottles of water in fridge and no price list displayed but some members of our party were charged 1 euro per bottle on checkout.
The hotel is very grand and somewhat impersonal, more of a business hotel. It is a way out of town so unless you have transport you will be stuck there away from bars and restaurants. A bit of sharp practice they charge 1 euro a bottle for the water in the fridge on checkout. There is no notice advising of this charge which, in a country where you can't drink the tap water, is a bit stingy for such...

I visited Berat and it was very beautiful. The castle was amazing, and we had coffee there. The entrance to the castle was free.
Then we went to the old neighborhood, which was also very beautiful and full of history.
After that, we went to Roshnik for lunch — 10/10, I highly recommend it!🫶🏻💌✨
If you're in Berat, make sure to visit Berat Castle—it’s one of the top highlights in the city. The location offers incredible panoramic views over the Osum River, the Gorica Bridge, and the iconic red rooftops of Mangalem. It’s both a historic site and a living neighborhood, with locals still residing within the castle walls.
Getting There:
You can drive up (recommended if you prefer comfort—there...
It’s one of many citadels on the hill surrounded by walls, typical to this region. The walks and sights are really nice, but apart from a few small churches (most are closed) and a lovely icon museum there’s not much to see here. I am not sure sure if all this is worth the rather steep climb - I’d say yes, but if the weather is good, in the morning or in the evening :)
