Stayed at the Golden Palace hotel as part of a group on a bus tour. Hotel is well located in terms of tourist attractions and within easy walking distance to main restaurant areas and certainly has lots of top quality restaurants within a few hundred metres — try the Fisi Grill & Restaurant within 200m of hotel front door. Room 218 for us had all that was needed for a comfortable overnight stop for a coach group .. wifi, clean, roomy, 1 chair, mini-bar, kettle & coffee-making gear. Room 102 overlooks laneway and backyards of homes. Unfortunately the air con was set for winter at 24 degrees and, despite requests to staff, could not be lowered. Buffet breakfast was the poorest of anywhere we had stayed in the Balkans. Location is the winning feature for this hotel.

Right bang in the middle of the city, it is well located. There is a lot of marble thrown around the hotel and looked promising but unfortunately that is where it all ended. The rooms are located around a strange atrium and it is not easy to manoeuvre 2 suitcases around the rabbit warren. The room is small and there is only one stand for a suitcase. Beds are ok but then the AC did not work and the room got extremely hot. The receptionist came to the room to show me how to fix the AC and noticed how hot the room was. Of course she couldn’t fix the AC as it doesn’t work. Her solution,open the window. Yes but the window opens to the Main Street with noisy traffic and barking dogs and to make matters worse, I got a mosquito in the room, not happy. There is a TV but no remote and the receptionist said that all the channels are in Albanian and no English Channel. Bathroom was ok with hot water and a walk-in shower rather than shower in bath. Breakfast is very ordinary with limited foods which disappear quickly due to slow replenishment of food items. There are good restaurants for dinner close by. Being on the Main Street it can be very noisy stay.

The hotel is located in a very nice area, just a short walk from lively, covered streets filled with shops and restaurants. It's a great spot if you enjoy exploring local life and want to be close to the action. The rooms are quite comfortable and above standard in terms of space and amenities. The beds are exceptionally large, and thanks to the good air circulation, we were able to sleep with the windows open instead of using the air conditioning, which was a pleasant surprise. However, the breakfast was unfortunately below our expectations. The variety and quality were lacking, and it felt insufficient, especially for a hotel that claims to be five-star. One of the biggest disappointments was the coffee machine being out of order. What made it worse was that there was no proper alternative or compensation provided. In a hotel of this category, you'd expect these issues to be handled promptly and professionally.

Nice hotel, either recently refurbished or may be new(?) Nice decor Large bedrooms Friendly staff Breakfast is “ok”, could be better - NO lactose free milk, NO gluten free bread. So if you’re allergic or intolerant you have a problem. No apologies. Poor cocktail menu, no Negroni’s!!! Nice pool in basement. Couldn’t get any English speaking tv channels, not even BBC news as internet based, and issues with signal. Good location. A few (2/3!) parking spaces available immediately on the road outside.

This hotel is well situated near monuments and restaurants. Unfortunately, this hotel has poor maintenance. They couldn't/wouldn't fix the air conditioning. People had to change keys/rooms because the lock mechanism wasn't working. Our room was on the main street. There was wind outside, but the only way we could feel it was to prop open the door of our room. The staff was not helpful.

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel for our work-related group event. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, ensuring that all our needs were met throughout our stay. The management was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist with every aspect of our event. The conference room was large, spacious, and fully equipped, providing the perfect environment for our sessions. Additionally, the hotel’s spa offered a relaxing retreat after a busy day. The facilities were perfectly aligned with our agenda, making it an ideal choice for business gatherings. Highly recommended!

Nice, the reception is very respectful. The room is new, neat and spacious, they have a laundry, but at a very-very-very high price.

The hotel and rooms were beautiful, all modern with great air conditioning in an excellent location close to restaurants and bars . The food was ok and the staff were all helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if we were in the area again
