This place was great, I ended up extending for an extra week. I enjoyed my stay here and it's in a convenient location.

Other reviews complain about people screaming late at night outside - I was in a room on the front and I had little to no issues during my stay, and there's not much that can be done outside of the property... All the staff members were pleasant and the shared areas were always clean. Id be happy to go back and stay there again some day.

A private room within walking distance of the centre of Perth for less than $70, can't really complain, Perth prices are cooked and some hostels charge 80 a night for a bunk bed in a dorm! Room was clean and bed comfy enough. New mattress, decent quality. Absolute bare bones amenities. It's fine if you need a place to crash a few nights, safely store your stuff and explore the city. Feels more like a working men's hostel than a place for travellers, not much of a social vibe, I'm 35 and felt like the youngest person there, but that's fine if you literally just need a place to crash and nothing more.

Paid WiFi, but it's cheap ($1/24h)

Sadly the upstairs mens WC was out of order which meant having to trek to the other side of the building to have a pee. If you're a light sleeper like me, bring earplugs as the street outside can get noisy with no soundproofing.

Couple of small things that would improve the stay - having some hooks to hang clothes and especially towels out to dry. And an extension cord as the only power point in the room is under the bed, so you have to pull it out or crawl underneath to plug your electronics in.

Good value for the area but could be improved with some simple fixes

I stayed here last year (2024) in July, and I had a great time. I had great interaction with some of the other guests, a very eclectic bunch. I don't understand the negative comments at all. This is a hostel, not a 5-star hotel. The room i had ,although dated, was clean and functional. I didn't notice any bugs or rodents, and I made full use of the communal kitchen and fridges. As I needed some sheets, I had no trouble reaching the manager by phone, and he got them to me quickly. As far as im concerned, excellent service. If / when I visit Perth again, I hope i can get a room there again.

Not bad, not great. 0 communication or interaction from staff, did not see a single staff member my entire stay. No one to check in or out, so if privacy & being left alone is your thing, this is the perfect place for you. Not your typical “hostel” experience. Is quiet & people keep to themselves, which again for some is a plus. Although, there were a few solo men in their 50’s + who gave odd vibes during my stay, so as a solo female traveller was a little thrown off but nothing more to note. Was nice to have my own room, good wifi, good air-con. They give you clean bath towel for your stay. No mirror & no bin in my room. Would stay again if was cheaper. Location is great. Building was quiet at night.

PROS: close to everything, quiet (as in no party but some construction is going on), clean, easy self checkin, pay parking next door.
CONS: no social interactions, poor and basic facilities, mainly working guys, no aircon.

I’ve stayed in many hostels, but this one is by far the WORST—and it’s way too EXPENSIVE for such low quality.

The so-called "common space" has NO tables or chairs, so people are forced to sit on the steps with their plates on their laps, even elderly guests. It was sad to see them struggling to eat...

Outside, CIGARETTE STUBS are scattered everywhere—it’s absolutely disgusting.

In the private two-person room, there are only two beds, a single desk, and just one chair—so we couldn’t even sit and eat properly in our own room.
Even worse, the AC runs all day long, and you can’t turn it off yourself.

On top of that, you have to pay for WiFi, which barely even works.

There’s NO reception, so the only staff member you ever see is the cleaner.

This hostel is a disgrace to a beautiful city like Perth! 🤢

Terrible experience with this « hotel » for the price we paid (120aud per night) : the bathroom ceiling is full of black mold, with a bad humidity smelling, as well as the shower which is clearly not often…
There is also no power supply near the bed, or…. 2m above the ground, near the roof (???)
We were also a little bit concerned about the safety of our room, as the 4 digits passcode provided to open the door is composed by the room number for the 2 first ones.
It’s also very noisy at night, as the walls are very thin.
It recommend unless if you have no other option available.

My partner and I stayed for two nights.
Good location, at only 15min from the center of Perth.
However, the room was very dirty, with black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom.
The toilet is shared, the private bathroom is just the shower. It smells like humidity a lot (considering that there is black mold… not surprised), but the air vent carries a poop smell. It’s awful.
The electrical outlets are put very high and there is only 3 in total. Our room was supposed to have some next to the bed, but there wasn’t any.

I tried to reach the manager about all these issues to change room at least, but there is no phone number available and no one present at the reception.
Very disappointed.

Self check in was good. The hostel is really quiet and calm. It's nice to not have a hostel that's full of party people. They have strict rules here. Good for mature people.

Everything is great for the location, cleanliness, noise control, and good for self checkin. I don't mind for phone call receptionist.
No free coffee / tea / sugar in the share kitchen while I was staying there.
After all its hostel, but sadly its pricey these days.
