Hotel Bischofsmütze in Filzmoos

The hotel was perfectly situated for our skiing holiday. Bus stop was right outside for the ski runs. Five minute walk to the main gondola. The hotel staff were friendly,polite and always helpful. Hotel was very clean no mess anywhere. Rooms were perfect. The dining area was never crowded, breakfast , diner were a joy to be in and the food was divine, never a poor choice. Credit to the chef Toni I believe. Highly recommend this hotel.

Had a perfect stay at this quaint hotel. The dining room is large but due to careful sectioning and superb organisation it felt as cosy and lovely as a small restaurant. Staff were superb - housekeeping, reception, bar and restaurant staff all going above and beyond to make our stay excellent. The rooms were clean and had a balcony and the location perfect for bars and also ski slopes. Drinks were reasonably priced and the complimentary soup and desserts in the afternoon a nice touch. The only way in which the hotel could be improved is to provide fresh fruit salad at breakfast (it was in juice/syrup) and provide tea/ coffee making facilities in the room - though we had a travel kettle so fine for us. Would definitely stay again.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was genuinely impressed. The location is spot-on—close to local bars, and just a short walk (about 7 minutes) to the ski lifts. There’s also a bus stop right opposite, making it easy for those who prefer to use the free ski bus. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean, and the breakfast buffet offers both hot and cold choices. Dinner is well organised, starting with a generous salad bar, followed by soup, and then a choice of main courses (meat, fish, or vegetarian), plus dessert. The bar has a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. Facilities include a small gym, sauna, steam room, and pool—though the pool tends to get busy towards the end of the day. Bedrooms are a decent size, and there’s a dedicated boot/ski room in the basement, which is handy for storing ski equipment. The only minor suggestion would be to provide kettles in the rooms, but we were aware of this beforehand and brought our own. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile. Overall, I’d happily stay here again—it’s excellent value for money and well suited to both skiers and walkers.

This is a belated review. What makes this establishment so wonderful is all the staff, however, there is one lady who remembers us every year and takes care of our son, who has a dairy intolerance. Justina, we can't wait to see you in a week and we can't wait to have some oat milk pancakes!

We had a lovely week staying at this hotel. Very comfortable and clean, our room was looked after so well and staff worked so hard. Everyone was very friendly, especially Kirstin in the restaurant, who worked extremely hard making sure everyone was looked after at dinner every night. I think we were the only English in the hotel which was fun as our German speaking is not good. There is a shortcut past the church through to the main street and the ski bus stops right out side for a minute ride to the lifts. Stay on the bus and go a bit further out of the village to the 6 man chair for a quieter side of things. Lots of people seem to come up for the day and ski but there was never a wait for lifts. Snow was lacking our week due to warm weather which to be honest was not expected in February (more late March/April Skiing) but hey ho .... pays your money and takes a chance. Lovely comfortable hotel!

Open a lot out of season, best place for dinner if you are in Filzmoos at a quiet time of year.
