Hotel Sonnberg in Saalbach

We had a good time during our summer holiday @ Hotel Sonnberg.
Our room was clean and cosy. At breakfast it was clearly labeled what was vegan so we knew what we could eat. The vegan breakfast was delicious and lots of things to choose😊
Very nice location to start a hike!

Lovely family run boutique hotel. This is our second visit and will return next year! Excellent.

1. The room (Chaletsuite mansarde) was fabulous. Made in moden alpine style. Cozy, clean, functional, spacious, with private infrared chair lounge on the balcony..plus a small kitchenette and a fridge.
2. Breakfast is delicious. Lots of options and all everything is really tasty.
3. There are fridges all over the hotel from where you can take drinks and they are billed to you at checkout...the system is very smart and efficient.
4. The owners are super friendly and kind.
5. Location is perfect for skiing (100m to the closest lift & slope).
6. Price - performance the hotel is an extremely good choice.

Great family run business with lovely friendly staff, who went out of their way to cater for our dietary requirements.

They don't regularly serve evening meals but, when they did, they ensured there was vegetarian and vegan options available for us.

Our room was on the ground floor, and was a little dark and potentially overlooked by those eating in the summer room, but this wasn't too much of an issue for us. I'd just recommend requesting a room that's either higher up or at least not the one next to the restaurant area (although the other ground floor rooms may have other similar issues).

It was a short stroll into town (2 minutes) although the walk to the ski lift would be a little far in ski boots (there were lifts 3, 5, 10 and 12 minutes walk away... but that was in normal shoes in summer).
