Hotel Castel in Serfaus

We recently had the pleasure of spending New Year's week at Hotel Castel, and it proved to be the perfect base for our winter getaway. We appreciated the convenience of being just a stone's throw from the U-Bahn station, offering quick and easy access to the entire resort. Alternatively, it was only a short, pleasant stroll to the main ski lifts. For those concerned about lugging equipment, the hotel provides the added benefit of access to the dedicated ski depot right at the lifts, making the start and end of the ski day wonderfully effortless.

The accommodation itself was superb. Our rooms were very comfortable, offering a warm and inviting sanctuary after a day on the slopes. There are great amenities, with the wonderful on-site wellness center as a highlight — a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate with a sauna and steam room.

However, one of the most distinguishing features of Hotel Castel is the outstanding culinary experience. Christian and his talented kitchen team prepared an excellent, multi-course dinner every single night. The quality and variety of the cuisine were consistently impressive, making dinner an event to look forward to each evening.

While the facilities and food were top-tier, the heart and soul of Hotel Castel is undoubtedly the incredible team. The greatest asset of this establishment is the genuinely warm, personalized hospitality extended by every member of the staff. We must specifically mention Jozef, Evi, and Sabina! Their attention, kindness, and dedication to ensuring every guest felt welcomed and cared for truly make the difference. They went above and beyond to create a special, festive atmosphere throughout our New Year's holiday.

In summary, Serfaus is an absolutely fantastic destination for a family winter holiday, offering diverse slopes and a wonderful atmosphere. And, without a shadow of a doubt, Hotel Castel is the best place to stay! We wholeheartedly recommend it and look forward to returning.

Super nice and healthy breakfast, fresh juices and a lot to create a nice bowl in the morning as well as really fresh and good bread. The whole staff is always friendly and they find solutions for every wish! We will definitely come back! Also super good start for biking and hiking, fast access to cable car.

I have decided to add my opinion about this hotel since
it was the best stay in the hotel I have ever had. I know that hotels in Tirol have high standards, however Castel hotel is above of that.

I have spent three nights in the Castel Hotel with my family.
The attitude to customers in this hotel is amazing.
All staff is SO helpful and SO friendly. The atmosphere in the hotel is so nice. My impression is that there are no issues that cannot be resolved.
Meals - Full scale of tastes. In my book...Castel hotel is out of scale. I recommend stay there because of:
- Unique food
- Amazing staff
- Great rooms
- Amazing Mountain View
- EV charger.

We last visited in January 2020 just before the onslaught of COVID 19. James from our group of six could not make that as he'd damaged his Achilles Tendon playing racketball. 2021 was a no ski zone so we decided to go back to Serfaus in January 2022 to show it to James. That proved not possible and finally we got there on 2 March for 4 nights. We were greeted with great warmth by the family and by Sabine and the facilities and food were, as ever, excellent. We were blessed with cold weather with bright blue skies and great snow so brilliant skiing. An epic holiday!

Lovely family run hotel. Big enough to feel relaxed, small enough to feel personal. A must with good food fresh clean rooms comfortable beds !

A wonderful hotel in a dream location. Very pleasant hosts who make every effort to ensure the well-being of their guests. The restaurant and rooms are modern and tastefully furnished. Dinner is a delight, yet the well-being of our little guests is taken into account. We would love to return! Highly recommended!
