Der Kirchheimerhof - Superior in Bad Kleinkirchheim

Unfortunately, I have to write a very honest and negative review here. This should give all future travelers a better impression of this hotel. We stayed at the Kirchheimerhof with our son (2.5 years old) and his parents over the 2024 Christmas holidays. From the day we arrived, there were X things we didn't like. It is the most disorganized hotel with the worst food we have ever stayed in Austria. Before arriving, we had requested to sit at one table with the entire family. However, when we arrived, our rooms were on completely different floors. If someone wants to sit at one table, I expect them to think ahead and put the family rooms next to each other. This was then changed, but we had to wait 30 minutes. The curtains in our room were too short, so we always had light in the room in the morning. Back to check-in: I asked at check-in what time childcare started the next day. Because we received zero information about childcare at check-in, even though we were at the reception with a small child. I was expecting a flyer or a QR code. I got the answer that someone would be there from 1 p.m. At 1 p.m. the next day, no one was there. So I went to reception and was told someone would be there at 2 p.m. The same person didn't apologize for telling me 1 p.m. the day before and 2 p.m. the next. We were sitting downstairs in the playroom with a small child and had made all our plans so that we could do something else (without the child) from 1 p.m. Then a substitute childcare worker came, and our son got on very well with her. She was an older lady who was really experienced (Marijana). There was no information about childcare at any time. The board at the entrance to the playroom was never written on. The hotel advertises itself as a children's hotel with a huge program for children. When we were at the hotel, there was absolutely no program and no notice on the board about when events were taking place (there weren't any). You never knew if childcare would be available, and if so, when. You constantly had to go to reception and ask for everything. It felt like the staff never knew which caregiver would be coming and had to ask the manager each time. The website states that there is a childcare program with shared dinners, crafts, etc., but none of this happened. We had to find out about childcare for the next day. The manager personally said that childcare started at 3:00 p.m. When we were there, we didn't recognize who the caregiver was because she was just sitting with all the parents. She wasn't wearing a hotel T-shirt, and she had already been there from 2:00 p.m. So, there was another false statement here. This caregiver (I think Olivia) is completely unsuitable for looking after small children. Olivia is young and inexperienced and couldn't

My whole family and friends experience during our stay was appalling, the food options were limited, and the waiter Zoll was serving us. Completely rude. Lost his temper and acted very unprofessional towards us all. Completely ruined one of the nights for us because of the way he decided to act
