Ruby Marie Hotel Vienna in Vienna

I stayed at this hotel for a 10-day business trip in Vienna and expected to have at least a reasonable level of rest during the weekend. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.

There was extremely loud music until 1:00 am on two consecutive nights coming from a concert venue inside the hotel building. This was not mentioned on the website, nor were we informed at check-in.

On the first night, no alternative room was available, so I had to stay awake until the event ended. We were told that such events “do not usually happen” and that the venue is separate and only hosts events “about once per month.” This turned out to be a lie, as the same situation happened again the next evening.

The receptionist was polite and tried to help by offering an upgraded room, which I appreciate. However, the upgrade did not solve the issue because the noise level remained extremely high—the venue is essentially a full music hall, and the sound travels through the building.

This is not a staff problem, but clearly a management issue. The hotel is aware of the situation yet does not inform guests in advance, leaving them to discover the problem only after arrival.

I chose this hotel expecting a comfortable stay during an intensive business trip, but the lack of transparency and noise control made proper rest impossible.
Because of this experience, I would not recommend this hotel, and I will ensure that my colleagues avoid booking here in the future.
