Zam-Zam in Baku

A friend and I went to Baku for a visit and stayed at the Zam-Zam Hotel, on his recommendation. We booked two rooms: one with a sea view and one standard. The first, on the 5th floor, actually had a full sea view, despite the hotel not being on the beachfront and facing another hotel, the Riviera. That hotel has three floors, though, and the view from the 5th floor was good. A room on the 3rd floor overlooking a wall is a good option for those who don't care about the view, as it's half the price of a similar room with a sea view. It felt like a standard three-star hotel with larger rooms. The room had almost everything you need: a table and a couple of chairs, two cups and two glasses, a refrigerator, and a TV (I didn't turn it on). There were no knives or cutlery. What I didn't like was the lack of a safe. They brought one after discussing it at reception, and only one was provided for each of the two rooms. In my opinion, a safe should be in every room, not a requirement, but the default. Convenient light switches - enter the room, turn on the light, lie down on the bed, and turn it off with another switch. Room cleaning is "on request": you must hang a "clean up your room" sign. If you don't hang a sign, no one will enter the room. Breakfasts are "set" - a tray with a standard selection, and you can separately choose a hot dish: omelets, eggs, porridge. You pour your own tea and/or instant coffee. I missed real brewed coffee; I don't like instant. The reception and kitchen staff are friendly and speak Russian. In general, you can communicate freely in Russian almost everywhere in Baku, which is convenient. The hotel was almost ideally located for us - not too far from the center, and the area around the hotel is quiet. If you don't want to walk, a Bolt taxi to your destination costs 3.5-4 manat. To the airport it was 15 manat, and from the airport 20. The embankment is a 5-minute walk. Baku has a very wide, long, beautiful embankment that's pleasant to stroll along. Next to the hotel is Nagorny Park, also a great place for strolling. It's a very decent hotel, and I highly recommend it.

It was centrally located, close to places to visit, had a great view, was clean and economical. I recommend it.

A beautiful hotel, especially the fifth and sixth floors, overlooking the sea. They lack some things such as hygiene tools, but they are satisfied with the view of the hotel on the sea, the value of the day is 78 manat, the limits of 172 riyals, including breakfast.
