The Augustin in Brussels

Entrance was very unclear to find. Hotel reception was closed for duration of visit because it was under construction. We had no idea that we would have no where to sit and relax other than the hotel room as no one informed us of the construction work before our trip. Disaster considering the snow and rain- we would have changed hotels to ensure we were not stuck in the same room all weekend. A small office room with 1 chair for all the hotels guests was available. Also had to stand on the street to have a ciggarette, ring a bell and wait for staff to arrive to be let back into the building through a fire exit door. Coffee was not replaced in the room. Asked for extra milk for coffee on the first day as not enough was left in the room and the staff member told me he didnt know how to get me milk. The only lift that went to the fire exit floor to exit the building was broken for a few hours saturday morning so ended up having to use delapidated metal dusty dirty fire exit stairs to enter and exit the building. When the lift did work you could hear it squeek from our room every time it was used. If you spent more than 5 mins in the shower it overflowed from the shower tray and flooded the floor. Had to turn off the shower 3 times to let it drain when I tried to was my hair and shave my legs. By far the worst hotel ive ever set foot in. Would not reccommend at all for the price they are charging! Ive stayed in hostles with better facilities and service. Just dont stay here.

We stayed in December 2025, 3 nigths. Two important issues that we reported on the second day and they didn't solved.
1 .- A bag dissapear from the room. We left the room second morning and when we come back the bag was NOT in the room. It contained chocolates and other typical things we bought the first day, the bag was on the table and properly closed. We inmediately reported it.
2.- The toilet flush mechanism made a horrible noise during the night. The fixed first day and the noise appeared again during the night.
Service has well manners but they didn't fix any of the reported issues.
