Boetiekhotel Hemelhuys in Hasselt

Wonderful hotel with a modest elegance and extremely friendly staff. Central location yet also quiet and comfortable. I didn’t stay long enough to enjoy the pop up restaurant in the second building, but it smelled amazing.

This is a fabulous boutique hotel in the centre of Hasselt. The room was excellent, the breakfast was tremendous and the location is great for walking around Hasselt. The staff were extremely welcoming and very helpful, they offered great local advice. I would 100% recommend staying here if you are visiting Hasselt!

Hotel Hemelhuys is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Hasselt. We were a party of 11 visiting Hasselt for a wedding at Ter Dolen . Our stay here was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the impeccable hospitality of Ann and Liesbeth. From the moment we arrived, their warmth and attentiveness made us feel like family. Despite the challenges of traveling, their incredible hospitality turned our stay into a home away from home.

The breakfast spread at Hotel Hemelhuys was enjoyable, offering a delicious start to each day of our stay. The accommodations were cozy and comfortable, the showers were incredible, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city.

Moreover, the location couldn’t be more ideal, placing us within easy reach of downtown Hasselt. Whether strolling through the charming streets or venturing out to explore, Hotel Hemelhuys served as the perfect home base.

Overall, our experience at Hotel Hemelhuys surpassed all expectations, thanks in large part to Ann and Liesbeth’s extraordinary hospitality. We can’t wait to return and experience their warmth and the hotel’s charm again. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable and welcoming stay in Hasselt.

I had a marvellous, two-night stay here. It is an authentic, cozy place, with nicely furnished rooms, incl. a good shower and a great bed. The welcome was exquisite; the host Ann is incredible in making you feel at easy at once. She is attentive without becoming intrusive. Breakfast was lovely: a selection of wonderful bread, fruit, high-quality cheeses, eggs to my desire, freshly-squeezed orange juice, coffee, tea... I can highly recommend this hotel.

Best hotel during our week long bike trip through Belgium, celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Lovely hostess met us, despite a late arrival, to personally help us to our room. And early the next morning served us a most delicious home-made breakfast. Loved the room… (ordered the Swedish shampoo and soaps!) So quaint & special, all of it. Thank you!

Spacious room with sofa, natural materials : wood, linen, and cute little outside terrace and garden. Romantics, this is a +++ place :)

Very cosy, big room! Caring and dedicated!

The best place for romantic weekend and for business trip. Hotel is located in the center of old town, close to many restaurants and pubs. Owners are very nice and halpful. And the breakfast... Zoals in de hemel:)

Friendly. Quality breakfast buffet and eggs on demand. Good bread and croissants.
My husband missed a coffee in the room in the morning.
