Hotel Atlantico Praia in Rio De Janeiro

Hotel is poorly designed and full of low class people who scream I the halls constantly. Throughout the night I was awakened repeatedly with very loud people. I am still here now and have opened my door multiple times to ask people to quiet down.
The location is great, so if that’s all the matters, then give it a try. But if you actually want to sleep in your hotel, I recommend staying somewhere else as the whole place echoes loudly. I will sleep in earplugs tonight in hopes of getting a good night sleep.

Bedsheet had stain which looked like poop. See picture. Rooms are dated, musty smell. Sheets are old, crumpled and have stains.mattress is not comfortable. Furniture has stains ( see picture) . When i complained they wanted me to upgrade for $1000 per night “as new year” . I booked this hotel last minute which was my fault due to work schedule, and all others in copacabana beach were booked for new year. Location is good right accross from copacabana beach and thats why i booked via expedia. Hotel showed all waterfront pictures. . Hotel charged $600 per night and it is worse than 1 star motel/hotel.

Hotel needs a renovation badly. The room and amenities are out of date. Bugs were present in the room and shower. Shower glass door is dirty. Beds needs to be replaced. WiFi is nonexistent. We are in 2025 and there is no excuse for not having fast reliable internet. WiFi, if you able to get a connection, is extremely slow. My 5G network was more reliable. There are no power outlets by the bed. If you want to charge your phone, it will have to be far away from you. Phone near the bed do not work so if you need something, you have walk to the reception desk. TV and remote are out of date. TV remote fell apart easily. Breakfast is good. Location is excellent. However, I don’t recommend staying here. Pay a little more for a better and enjoyable stay.
