Lovely hotel with simple but cosy rooms. Polite staff and friendly atmosphere. Perfect for a family holiday.

Location: in Sunny beach, 30 km from the airport of Burgas.

Consists of a 6-storey building.

The hotel has 98 rooms.

Fantastic little gem of a hotel ..Decided to come to this hotel because of the reviews saying friendly staff and very clean. Well we were not disappointed at all. At first we thought it was alot smaller than we were used to but actually preferred it as everyone spoke to each other and mingled.
The hotel is spotless and the cleaners work non stop to keep it that way.
Our room was big with plenty of storage space and a good size fridge plus a little freezer.
The Air con does its job 👍
The beds are comfy and the bedding is spotless.
There is no kettle in the room so bring a travel kettle if you want a cuppa.
We took a little washing line to dry or bikinis on the the balcony but could do with something on the wall to attach this to.
We were all inclusive and all I can say is you never go hungry and the food was absolutely fab with plenty of choice.
The young lads in the Animation team work so hard to keep the guests happy.
What a lovely couple of lads. keep up the great work.
The staff ..well what can I say.They are great, friendly and are only trying to make sure we all have a great time. whatever you need they will sort it.
Its nice to see management being good with there hardworking staff.
Would we come back to this hotel. yes definitely ..

I wasn't expecting too much from a 3* hotel but what a great place this was. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had an issue with my toilet flushing the first day and they sorted it within the hour. All the bar staff were great, the restaurant had plenty of choice and the ice cream in the afternoon was so tasty!
The entrainment team really tried even when not many people wanted to join in.
Sunbed wise I never had an issue getting one and there seemed to be some available throughout the day, I was there the end of August/beginning of September.
It was very clean, the cleaners never seemed to stop working.
Location wise it's a few minutes walk to the beach and some shops. 20min walk to Sunny beach or Nessebar but the little train can take you to either with the stops just down the road from the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Aktinia with our children. The location is perfect – the sea is just a 3–5 minute walk away. The food was absolutely delicious and varied, with a new menu every day. The hotel is very clean, which made us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout our stay. It’s a fantastic place for families with kids, and everything you might need is close by, including souvenir shops and the charming town of Nessebar. The staff were always friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely come back here again!

We have been in Sunny Beach many times and tried many hotels - better or worse and that’s why we didn’t expect anything fancy BUT we got the best Sunny Beach experience ever here: fantastic staff, people that response to all guests’ needs immidiately, with smile and engagement. The atmosphere is like at home because the place is small, clean and pleasant. Management is absolutely professional and impressive. And food is the strongest point of Aktinia service - the chef really knows how to cook, the choice was good and everything was fresh and tasty. Thank you Aktinia team!

This is our last day of a 10 day stay as a family.
We have been blown over by our stay, clean to a high standard, food options were amazing! Something for everyone.. Rooms where spacious and clean.. every member of staff we come across was polite and helpful.

The animation team were brilliant, Adam, Chris and Rady.

Highly recommended - We will be back..

The hotel is pretty good overall for a 3 star. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles as you’d expect from a 4/5 star, but it is very good value for money and they do a good job overall.

The rooms are spacious, close to amenities and clean. Yes, there is an odd smell as others have commented that appears to be caused either by the drainage or sewage, but it only seems to be present for a few hours each day and then mysteriously disappears before returning the next day. It’s not there for most of the day and can be easily ignored.

The food and alcohol isn’t the best, but it is perfectly fine and certainly doesn’t warrant any complaints. The food, as others have commented, can be a little odd tasting vs what we typically eat in the UK, but we managed to adapt to it and find something to eat every night.

I can imagine if you’re staying for more than 7 days, you’d probably get a little bored of the food as there is a lot of rotating the same dishes. We stayed for less than 7 days and on the final evening decided to eat out just because the food isn’t the most exciting.

Overall though, we enjoyed our stay. The staff were all either friendly, or quiet. No one was rude though to us, as others have commented. I think it’s more a difference in cultures that could be interpreted that way.

The cleaner in particular was very friendly and warm, despite having limited English. She was very courteous and did a great job.

I would recommend staying here, especially for short stays (less than 7 days).

Hotel was average, rooms were very basic, most of the staff never smiled or said anything and the food was always cold although people seemed to eat it but I like mine to have some heat to it. The lager seemed to be watered down as a few guests commented on. Location was good between Sunny Beach & Nessebar which is why I give it 3 stars.
Would I return? Yes to Bulgaria but not to this hotel.

Me and my fiancée booked here 7 days before arriving for 14 days. The service was absolutely excellent, the hotel manager couldn’t help enough, lovely gentleman. Bar staff very polite and always happy to help. The animation team, Alex and Nicky, 2 lovely lads who always encouraged everyone to get involved in the activities. The only negative I had personally was the food, but there is always something you can find to eat. We will book here again guaranteed.
