The location and view are great. I booked the all-inclusive but there is not much to use in the evening. The food served for dinner needs improvement.
I left my bag with new cosmetics in the belongings room. I asked to keep it for a few weeks. I asked if it was okay and nothing would happen to it. They told me not to worry. I returned to the hotel again for 3 nights. I went to get it and the bag was not there in the morning. I looked again. They didn't even care that it was stolen, they didn't want to check cameras, nothing, they said we only keep...

Can't say enough good things about this resort hotel. First of all, the location is perfect. It's on the north side of Sunny Beach, away from much of the touristy/divey shopping and bars and stuff, which are fun...but better to be a little removed from that stuff for where you stay. Here last October and back again - returning to a hotel is a first for us in over 40 years. Hotel is elegantly built, sea view rooms large although as others point out getting in and out of bath/shower can be a challenge. Food is buffet with an amazing selection, particularly breakfast. Very clean, big rooms, good food, nice atmosphere, well trained personal. What we didn’t like was that half of the beach seats were occupied with towels at 6 am, even though the hotel policy forbids it. Most of the time people never even come back to their seats or stay very little, while the ones who actually stay at the beach have to wait for someone to take their towels.
Really nice place to stay and rest. Good food and nice service. Only two things that are minus and why I give 4 stars: 1.The private beach is always full from the early morning and you can't find a spot even before 8am. 2.Fire alarm woke up us in the mirning around 8am. without any reason.
The hotel was super clean, the people very friendly, and a great place to stay and enjoy. Pools are a little cold and not a lot of animations on the evening, but you can access the other Riu 50m away if you want.

I'm overall giving it a 4 star rating on Maps, as I would rate the hotel as 4 stars (using standard hotel ratings) I recommend against the SPA services - the tables they use for massages are torture devices, the head holes and tiny and uncomfortable, and it's impossible to breath.

This hotel was amazing the food was great and plenty of choice, staff were friendly and helpful although could smile more, rooms were lovely light and cheery and comfy. The area was lovely and we did some trips out which were fab even though it was the end of season, didn’t get to try out any of the outside pools but the indoor one was amazing.
The property is in good shape overall. Yet it feels like overstaying one’s welcome at a party. Everything is winding down. Beach chairs being carted off. Nowhere to sit outside unless you can stand being cooked in the scorching sun. There are umbrellas in the seating area during the summer months but they’d already been cleared away. The worst bit though: people smoke everywhere. Constantly. It’s disgusting...
The hotel is clean. The rooms are lovely but you are unable to control your own air conditioning. Three times we ran out of toilet roll. The food is reasonable.
