We stayed at this hotel for one night. The guest was very nice and helpful. This place it is from walking distance from center. We had a really nice breakfast in the morning. I would give a minus fro the "old" smell from the rooms and the mattress was really soft (I think they are quite old). It is a fair price for what they offer.

Nice, quiet place with a great location. Our room had a balcony and was very clean. The owner of the hotel, Rosi, was always smiling and kind to us. She welcomed us as guests, and we parted as old friends. We will definitely stay at Hotel Rai again in our beloved Tryavna!

The yard is unique, there are two large trampolines, hammocks, lounge chairs, swings, a slide, many different children's toys, etc. The staff is very good and responsive. Rooms are tidy, clean and smell amazing. There is a place to park a car. Great location, close to the center and to the garlic tower.

We had to pay extra for bathrobes and towels (they were not included in the price—€3.50 each). They only filled the jacuzzi after we left, and the pool was too small for the hotel's capacity.

The rooms in this hotel were huge, with two big beds and two large armchairs The bathroom was a wet room so be aware and remember to remove the toilet paper before showering, otherwise, you will have very wet toilet paper. Outside pool and mineral pool we're great ,a bit on the busy side but that's life nowadays. We had a wonderful time! The hotel itself is located in a parched and features spacious rooms, clean and bright; the personnel is attentive and helpful! The restaurant serves delicious meals in large portions. Plenty of things to see at a stone throw distance ! Worth every penny!

The outside pool is just perfect. The fee for an adult is 8 lv. through the week. The snack bar is delicious and not pricey. The only thing that can be better is the toilet, it needs a good cleaning. I’m very happy with the overall pool experience.

Would recommend it for staying as it's just across the city museum! You can order breakfast ahead, the room was clean, and the personnel was welcoming. There's parking though it's a bit hard to enter with a bigger car.

Excellent on all levels. Fast wifi, Wonderful but small and cosy rooms and maintained well ..accept for one small thibg: the shower head clamp which was broken and I, 1.91 m tall, wasn’t able to set it at a comfortable height. Nevertheless 5 stars from us. The staff was nice and helpful and also spoke English. We will be back.

The hotel has a great location, making it easy to get around the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. However, the beds were not very comfortable. Also, parking space is limited, so it might be a problem if you’re traveling by car.

The hotel is clean, well situated,near to the main attractions by walking (20 minutes). The room is big and so is the bathroom. We had a problem with the toilet running water all the time, which I consider is a waste of water and they must take it more seriously. Minibar has accessible prices, although we didn't use it. This was a well situated hotel, decor was very 70s. Beds comfy. Parking isn't fabulous even though we were told we could park outside. But it was a public holiday when we were there. Receptionist was very helpful. And the bathroom even had bath salts.

Large, clean, warm rooms, everything perfectly functional, daily cleaning, friendly staff, good and sufficient food. Large beds, mattresses with medium firmness, pillows as well. Perfectly located as my base for the climb/hike to the nearby Mountain Botev and the peak. The Hotel had everything that i required and more, the room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. Breakfast and dinner was very tasty and inexpensive. The restraunt is to die for, if you are from an expensive country like mine. The prices are high for someone around the local area though.

It was listed as a 4 STAR HOTEL, but the room we were given was 2 star with a bathroom that had 10 square ft area, that had the sink, a toilet and a shower-head in it...we asked for another room but were told that because of a wedding there are no rooms available. So we paid for a 4 star room and slept in a 2 star one, with spiders in the room.

My husband and I are really pleased with Real hotel in Veliko Turnovo. It's a cozy and stylish hotel with large rooms located at an excellent spot in the town. Very charming, centrally located and affordable hotel. The front desk clerk was also the waiter and the porter. Unfortunately, our room was on the 5th floor of a walk up with a winding staircase and no elevator. The bathtub was high and difficult to get into and there was no shower curtain. This is a wonderfully atmospheric hotel in the heart of the old town of Veliko Tarnovo. It has a cosy fire in the restaurant / breakfast room below (in March), spacious rooms and great views across the old town, down into the river valley and across to the Asen Monument. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was generous. Thoroughly recommended.

This is located overlooking the river in Veliko Tarnovo, providing excellent bird watching. The rooms were clean, quiet and cozy. The breakfast was amazing, so fresh and delicious. I loved the omelets. The staff was lovely and so kind.We really enjoyed our visit and hope to visit again.

Do not expect a Hilton or a Marriott. No shower curtain, hand held shower spray only. New bathroom fixtures. No soup on dinner menu. Unsanitary electric tea kettle and coffee maker. Comfortable bed, HVAC works. Prepare to be served a massive breakfast one person could never consume. Owner does not take no for an answer. Delicious food. Tap water not recommended in Veliko Tarnovo.

Not really 5 stars, but the personnel is very nice, food is good, the room was ok and the sauna the same. They need to improve a bit some small details but I give 5 for encouragement. There's a nice playground that looks awesome in the night with the green light 💚. The location is far from the center but Like that it is near the forest.

The service, the rooms, the restaurant, the spa exceeded our expectations. The hotel is very modern, the bathrooms are gorgeous and the beds and sheets very comfortable. The full breakfast (hot and continental) is delicious. Bathrobes are available for rent at reception (7 leva) and they provide slippers and towels too. We have stayed here twice before, but sadly, on this occasion, it was really disappointing. The apartment was amazing, clean and spacious with a lovely balcony. BUT the food was not as good as usual, maybe because they were so busy. The pool did not seem to be very clean, with an oil slick of sun cream from people not taking showers before entering.

The host is an extraordinary woman. We booked 1 night through Booking, and when we arrived we decided to stay one more night and we expected her to check us out, but she said "No problem". The first morning we had free breakfast through genius, and the second we expected to pay but it was still free. It is quiet, clean, beautiful surroundings. We are satisfied! It's placed on the edge of the serpentine road. In the night time Veliko Tarnovo lights up the view, while in the daytime you can see it from an isometric view. The room was nice and spacious. We had the posibility to cook in a large pot in the garden. It was somehow funny, somehow unpleasing that we had a hole in the door.

Great View, But Service Fell Short. The view of Veliko Tarnovo from the hotel is stunning, definitely the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the room itself was standard, there's nothing special and the sound insulation was poor. We could hear guests in the hallway and neighboring rooms, and some people smoked and talked loudly on their balconies well past midnight. At one point, we even smelled...

Waiters should be more attentive to guest's needs. Since last year, the menu became very basic with only very few bulgarian dishes. They count more for the view than for the food quality.

This was perfectly located in the centre of gorna, all my business was in that town. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were (although basic) just what was needed after a long journey.

A good place to stay with big room and bath with tub. Also, the room was clean. Access to upper floors is done with the elevator. Hotel restaurant is available, and breakfast is included. And one downside can be the lack of a mini fridge. The biggest downside is the city that is limited on what you can do but if you have a car or you can rent one the place becomes very attractive.
