Fairmont Empress, Victoria1 / 30
9.1
Victoria, 721 Government St (in the centre) 🧭 Map
However, one aspect could be improved: flexibility at check-in. I was running a bit late, so my husband, who shares the same last name and was on the reservation, tried to check in ahead of me
Lived in Victoria for 40+ years and our first stay at the Empress. Great history inside and out. Delicious breakfast in the Bengal Lounge. We will be returning.
It was a good stay for our family trip
The experience at the Empress was phenomenal. The stay started with a young woman being trained at the reception desk, she was incredibly warm and welcoming
These are very basic service expectations that should not require repeated reminders from guests. Taken together, these issues have had a substantial negative impact on my stay and overall impression of the hotel
Every time I brush my teeth or wash my hands, the unpleasant smell is immediately noticeable and deeply disturbing. This raises not only comfort issues, but also serious concerns about hygiene and water safety

Inn at Laurel Point, Victoria1 / 10

Victoria, 680 Montreal St (in the centre) 🧭 Map
I don’t ever leave reviews, but this place needs one. Everything was great, from the customer service on the phone calls, to the front staff, the room, the bed and pillows and to the restaurant and their staff
Every single staff member from the front desk to housekeeping and all the folks catering the ongoing Christmas parties were extremely friendly, greeting us in the halls every time we passed
This beautiful hotel was great for us to stay at. The customer service from the entire staff was awesome, very friendly people! Location is amazing and right on the water
We booked several rooms for my sister's 80th birthday. She upgraded one of the rooms and arranged a lovely cheese plate for my sister. Her professionalism really added to this magical experience
Every staff member from the hotel, the coffee shop and the restaurant were very welcoming, looked happy and were authentically nice, not just the fake smile and wave
Almost everything you need to do is on 20 minutes walking distance from the hotel. And the view was absolutely stunning you can watch boats take off and sea planes land

Oak Bay Beach Hotel, Victoria1 / 29
9.3
Victoria, 1175 Beach Dr (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Every staff member made me feel welcomed and cared for, and you can tell they take pride in creating a truly elevated experience. The spa itself is stunning serene, spotless, and thoughtfully designed
Love this hotel and their mineral spring poo and hot tubs.  We were spoiled with drinks in the lounge and we got to eat a delicious order of natchos. definitely would recommend this wonderful hotel
No tour or information about the hotel or amenities. - a long time to be seated for breakfast despite it being quiet. Taken to our table and then had to wait for it to be cleaned
- not many ‘hellos’ or pleasantries from hotel staff when walking the corridors. - listed as a 5-star hotel but quite often experienced 3-star service. Excellent service and facilities. Would return for treatments
Observed stars at night from the lovely balmy cedar redolent room. From afar we saw otters playing around the rocks the first day. A gorgeous massive bald eagle soared over the grounds several afternoons
This is an exceptional & remarkable place. From the kind & professional Director of Operations, to the lovely concierge’s, pool attendants & every type of staff we got outstanding customer service

Embassy Inn, Victoria1 / 19
8.7
Victoria, 520 Menzies St (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The beds in this hotel have much to be desired you could probably sleep on the floor and get as good of a sleep as you did in the bed
And then after check out allowed us to stay parked in their parking lot when we walked around town the next day, of which is an excellent location, not on the water but $100 less per night than those ones and only one block away
The receptionist is very welcoming. Though the building is quite old, the room looks newly renovated. I love how the bed and the linen feels so fresh and clean. The location is great, being walking distance to everything
They made sure every day at the hockey tournament individuals had enough food and we never ran out thank you so much for that. However because of the beds being so hard and uncomfortable I can't say we'll be back
Front desk lady was very pleasant. I'm sure it will be Excellent once they've refurbished. Parking available right at hotel for $20 per night. Security cameras are watching parking lot
There’s available parking which is well lit and safe.  Breakfast area  is clean and lots of choices available. Will definitely come back and will recommend to friends and family

Hotel Zed Victoria, Victoria1 / 30
9.2
Victoria, 3110 Douglas St (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Great amenities, the pool and grandmas basement are amazing. The rooms are so neat, great attention to detail with decor and really well set up so that you have everything you need
They provided nice and honest service!  My daughter left her allowance on the shelf accidentally then a cleaning staff took it (of course) but  when she explained that it wasn’t tip, they returned it to her
Hotel Zed did not disappoint. Location is superb. No frills, quirky, clean. Will be back!
Great location, near shopping mall
I always have a problem with beds in hotels and these were absolutely perfect, with some of the best pillows I've had in any hotel. Really well done and great value for the money
The decor was super fun, the suite had everything we needed for our family of 4, the pool and grandma's basement were super fun, the location across from Mayfair mall was great, the coffee was PHENOMENAL, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant they have on site (The Ruby) has great food

Hotel Rialto, Victoria1 / 9
8.9
Victoria, 653 Pandora Ave. (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Excellent hotel... Do try the cocktails! They are fabulous (so was the hangover afterwards ;0)
OUTstanding stay 💛 fell in love with the #Lavazza + Rialto cookies in the room. I had an amazing top floor corner room and the views were amazing day and night. Stand up shower and heated bathroom floor was pretty cool
The only detail was we found the walls are not the best when it comes to sound proof between the rooms and the traffic light beeps for crossing coming from the street could be heard every minute during the whole night, despite all windows were closed
It's unfortunate that the parking is limited and the neighborhood is a bit sketchy. The hotel does have a good security system in place to combat the neighborhood issues. The staff are very welcoming and friendly
The facilities are good, and the location on the left is very convenient.
Good hotel right at the center of everything! Lots of good restaurants and tourist places are near by

The Inn at the Union Club of British Columbia, Victoria1 / 30
8.6
Victoria, 805 Gordon St (in the centre) 🧭 Map
You have to be able to manhandle your luggage up full flight of outside stairs in the rain. and the strict rules can be a bit much!
The Union Club of British Columbia in Victoria is an elegant and historic venue that continues to impress with its refined atmosphere, excellent cuisine, and exceptional service
The setting itself is stunning; rich in heritage and charm, with beautifully maintained interiors that capture the timeless character of the club
It’s a venue that represents the very best of Victoria’s hospitality, and we look forward to returning for future events
Great location, Staff were courteous, room is a throwback to 1960 elegance. Comfortable and food is great! Good value for the cost
We recently attended a social gala dinner there and, though we did not stay overnight, the experience was truly memorable from start to finish

Holiday Inn Victoria Elk Lake by IHG, Victoria1 / 30
8.1
Victoria, 4670 Elk Lake Dr (8 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I could take it but definitely not good for sensitive people, especially if you have trouble with sleeping. You can refill your water bottle in the hall, but there is no coffee refill available
The shower is bright, the water temperature and power are good enough. My room was facing the highway, so it was a little bit noisy 24hrs
The restaurant is great, it's called The Lakes and they have good breakfasts. The dinner is alright, but I like them mostly for breakfast/brunch. They can be really busy around noon, so the earlier the better.
Everything was great only complaint is the shower water pressure. Staff & restaurant staff so nice.
The surrounding environment is very good, parking is easy, the room is simple and clean. It was rainy when we went there, so it was a bit dark on the first floor. The service was very good
We have stayed at the Property many times and have always found it to be excellent. The Staff is courteous and efficient and friendly.

James Bay Inn Hotel & Suites, Victoria1 / 30
9.0
Victoria, 270 Government Street (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Would stay here again! Great location (15min walk to The Empress), quiet area (I am a light sleeper), comfortable bed and pillows, lovely warm room (we stayed in November, so warmth was good--I hate being cold!), and it was SPOTLESSLY CLEAN
It should be noted that their food in their restaurant is excellent together with the friendly service. The menu is varied and the dishes are big
The location is superb, just a few blocks behind the famous BC Legislative Building, within walking distance. The hotel has a long history, old British style, a bit dated, but still okay. Good value for money.
Really nice old school style hotel in a quiet residential area but just a few minutes walk from downtown Victoria, so the location is perfect. It was really neat hearing carriage horses clip-clopping down the street
With thousands of places to stay in Victoria, this was my first time choosing the James Bay Inn. Right from check-in, the friendliness of staff and high-quality of service was something that really stood out to me
The staff were friendly and professional (Front Desk Staffer, pronounced Had-ee was particularly great) and there are added benefits like tea and coffee in the Reception area each morning
