Fairmont Empress, Victoria1 / 30
9.1
Victoria, 721 Government St (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Lived in Victoria for 40+ years and our first stay at the Empress. Great history inside and out. Delicious breakfast in the Bengal Lounge. We will be returning.
It was a good stay for our family trip
I am writing to formally express my very serious dissatisfaction regarding the condition of my room and the overall standard of service during my stay. To be completely honest, the situation is far below what any reasonable guest would expect from a hotel of this category and price level. There is clearly long-term dust accumulation on the exhaust fan and in multiple corners of the room. This is not...
The experience at the Empress was phenomenal. The stay started with a young woman being trained at the reception desk, she was incredibly warm and welcoming. After a conversation with her about our first trip to Victoria, she must have passed the information on to Melissa Laing of the front office management team. She sent a wonderful gift to our room. We were both stunned and appreciative of the...
My girlfriend and I recently stayed at your hotel to celebrate our 4-year anniversary. We were truly looking forward to this special occasion and chose your property for what we hoped would be a memorable experience. Upon arrival, we were informed that our room was not ready, which we completely understand can sometimes happen. After a couple of hours, we were notified that the room was available....
We had a beautiful stay here. It was for our anniversary and the staff made us feel welcome and cake to recognize us and greet us by name even after a couple days. They allow dogs which was great. We notified them and they had two bowls and a nice dog bed for our pup. We came to love the old world charm of the hotel, the pictures on the walls showing its history were very cool. The bathroom and...

Inn at Laurel Point, Victoria1 / 10
9.1
Victoria, 680 Montreal St (in the centre) 🧭 Map
This beautiful hotel was great for us to stay at. The customer service from the entire staff was awesome, very friendly people! Location is amazing and right on the water. Nice little café inside as well as as a great restaurant for the evening time. What more could you want? We will definitely be back!
I don’t ever leave reviews, but this place needs one. Everything was great, from the customer service on the phone calls, to the front staff, the room, the bed and pillows and to the restaurant and their staff. I got a king suite with the nice package and I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with the room after our dinner and they were more than willing to accommodate. The beds and pillows were actually...
We stayed there February 21st. We booked several rooms for my sister's 80th birthday. Itsuki checked us in. She upgraded one of the rooms and arranged a lovely cheese plate for my sister. Her professionalism really added to this magical experience. We had a perfect time, thank you.
The Inn At Laurel Point is located right on Victoria Harbor. We stayed in one of their terrace suites overlooking the harbor. It is the second time we have stayed in this room and it may be one of the nicest rooms we stay in anywhere. The view is breathtaking with seaplanes, ships and boats coming and going and the city in the backdrop. The hotel is well located just outside of downtown, very close...
We had a great time staying at this beautiful property. The common areas felt very modern, clean, warm, and inviting. Our room, a terrace bedroom suite in the Erickson wing, was exactly the luxurious City getaway we were looking for, and that outdoor terrace can't be beat. The room was very comfortable and spacious, as was the king bed and comfy sofa bed in the living room, and we felt like it was...
it is a very elegant hotel with harbour view and lots of nice art collections. Nice staff and easy to walk to everywhere.

Oak Bay Beach Hotel, Victoria1 / 29

Victoria, 1175 Beach Dr (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Love this hotel and their mineral spring poo and hot tubs..  This was my third visit.  We were spoiled with drinks in the lounge and we got to eat a delicious order of natchos. definitely would recommend this wonderful hotel.
Beautiful location Room was great. Comfy bed. Nice products. Lovely bottle of local sparkling wine to welcome us into the room as a bday surprise. Service within the hotel could be better. - welcomed at front desk, asked for our card and ID and then immediately answered the phone and disengaged with us. Left waiting a long time to check in after a long day of travel. No tour or information...
This is an exceptional & remarkable place. From the kind & professional Director of Operations, to the lovely concierge’s, pool attendants & every type of staff we got outstanding customer service. My favourite part was the gorgeous mineral pools, hot tubs & saunas. Everything is the perfect temp & pristinely clean. The contrast of the brisk ocean air, cool light rain or mist & the glorious hot soothing...
I stayed here with a friend for my 50th birthday. It was so relaxing to soak in the mineral pool and hot tubs with gorgeous views of the ocean. The saunas were clean and perfect. There are fire tables around the mineral pool which were such a nice touch in the cooler temperatures (10c in February and sunny). The restaurants are also great - you must try the pizza restaurant! It was a weekend of perfection...
My experience at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel spa was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, polished, and genuinely attentive. Every staff member made me feel welcomed and cared for, and you can tell they take pride in creating a truly elevated experience. The spa itself is stunning serene, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. But the real showstopper is the oceanfront...
Always an incredible stay at Oak Bay. The pool is what makes it so special! Great service, great food, just incredible.

Embassy Inn, Victoria1 / 19

Victoria, 520 Menzies St (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The receptionist is very welcoming. Though the building is quite old, the room looks newly renovated. I love how the bed and the linen feels so fresh and clean. The location is great, being walking distance to everything. There’s available parking which is well lit and safe.  Breakfast area  is clean and lots of choices available. Will definitely come back and will recommend to friends and family.
The beds in this hotel have much to be desired you could probably sleep on the floor and get as good of a sleep as you did in the bed. The buffet breakfast on the other hand was outstanding as well as the staff who took care of the breakfast. They made sure every day at the hockey tournament individuals had enough food and we never ran out thank you so much for that. However because of the beds...
Booked and pre-paid through Trip.com Would have given 4 stars for service but check-in clerk attempted to charge me again for the room at a higher rate then blamed another staff member for not doing their job correctly when I objected to the charge and showed my confirmation. When I said I would park my vehicle elsewhere rather than pay for parking she said my vehicle would be towed if it was parked...
It is a pleasant hotel to stay at, rooms are very nice. However, they are refurbishing the hotel and it would have been fair for ALL the hotel platforms to mention this. Not outrageously noisy, just when we were having their buffet the next morning. We could here a drill. Nothing at night though. Room had a large balcony. TV's not smart TV's so no streaming possible. It reminded me why I don't watch...
This hotel offers the supreme location, just 5 minutes walking to Parliament Building. The front desk is available 24/7 and be ready to help when guests need. Old-fashioned construction but keep in well maintained. Embassy Inn is friendly-budget with travelers.
Classic hotel and very clean! Smooth check in and check-out. No hassle hotel! :-)

Hotel Zed did not disappoint. Location is superb. No frills, quirky, clean. Will be back!
Great location, near shopping mall
Absolutely love this place. Great amenities, the pool and grandmas basement are amazing. The rooms are so neat, great attention to detail with decor and really well set up so that you have everything you need. The staff are great and it's just an all around fun place to be. It's refreshing to stay at a hotel that really feels like they care about people enjoying themselves beyond just offering a place...
Hotel Zed appears to have gotten an upgrade from when our family stayed there years ago. The decor was more fun/intentional, and the beds were way more comfortable. Honestly, we were super happy with everything about our experience here. The decor was super fun, the suite had everything we needed for our family of 4, the pool and grandma's basement were super fun, the location across from Mayfair mall...
Super fun hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. The aesthetic is amazing, the staff are super friendly and the rooms impeccably clean and well appointed. I always have a problem with beds in hotels and these were absolutely perfect, with some of the best pillows I've had in any hotel. Really well done and great value for the money.
From the overall aesthetic to the small personal touches like fresh ground coffee, you’ve never had a stay like this before. The water slide makes you feel like a kid again and the pool is awesome. Ruby’s breakfast is awesome. Highly recommend for anyone.

Hotel Rialto, Victoria1 / 9

OUTstanding stay 💛 fell in love with the #Lavazza + Rialto cookies in the room. I had an amazing top floor corner room and the views were amazing day and night. Stand up shower and heated bathroom floor was pretty cool. What a location, there is a high end vintage liquor store right off the lobby and I got some Port to enjoy while in town. Water bottle filled in lobby with free fruit and coffee...
The facilities are good, and the location on the left is very convenient.
We stayed sat the Hotel Dec 24- Dec 26. The hotel surprised us and gave each guest stockings full of xmas treats and a card. Thank you, Victoria, the manager, for that beautiful surprise. The hotel has great location, clean rooms, the heated floor in the bathroom feels great. The hotel uses l'occitane products, which is really high quality. We were really satisfied. The only detail was we found the...
Stayed over the last few days - lovely spot. Room was very comfortable and very clean. Bed was super comfortable. Staff was great, bar was lovely, drinks were amazing! Heated floor in the bathroom was really appreciated on the chilly misty days. Hotel is in a great walkable location to downtown - really enjoyed that. Coffee and Tea downstairs in grab and go style with fresh fruit in the morning is...

The Inn at the Union Club of British Columbia, Victoria1 / 30
8.6
Victoria, 805 Gordon St (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Great location, Staff were courteous, room is a throwback to 1960 elegance. Comfortable and food is great! Good value for the cost. You have to be able to manhandle your luggage up full flight of outside stairs in the rain... and the strict rules can be a bit much!
My husband & I appreciate old architecture, so we decided book 3 nights out of curiosity. The service was great, the room was comfortable. No coffee maker in the room is the only inconvenience. The gym is well equipped compared to other places we've stayed at. The Union Club is perfectly located for walking down town Victoria.
The Union Club of British Columbia in Victoria is an elegant and historic venue that continues to impress with its refined atmosphere, excellent cuisine, and exceptional service. We recently attended a social gala dinner there and, though we did not stay overnight, the experience was truly memorable from start to finish. The setting itself is stunning; rich in heritage and charm, with beautifully...
Amazing place! Location A1. Staff extremely nice! Vintage classic style looks so great.
Beautiful! Lovely staff! Woke free environment! A delight to stay there!
I understand that they don’t want the unhoused to sleep in their property overnight but using a loud speaker to tell them to move on is disruptive to guests. It woke me up around 2AM. I didn’t appreciate that. Security has to have a better way of addressing that issue.

Holiday Inn VICTORIA – ELK LAKE by IHG, Victoria1 / 30

Everything was great only complaint is the shower water pressure. Staff & restaurant staff so nice.
We have stayed at the Property many times and have always found it to be excellent. The Staff is courteous and efficient and friendly.
Safe and clean. The shower is bright, the water temperature and power are good enough. My room was facing the highway, so it was a little bit noisy 24hrs. I could take it but definitely not good for sensitive people, especially if you have trouble with sleeping. You can refill your water bottle in the hall, but there is no coffee refill available. The staff are nice and kind, very helpful. BTW, you...

Good restaurant slow overnight EV charging pet friendly complimentary night mask and earplugs
Room was in good condition...and staff friendly. But the heat in the room did not work properly...and that was true not only in our room, but in the room occupied by our travelling companions. That should be looked into! Thanks for a pleasant stay!

James Bay Inn Hotel & Suites, Victoria1 / 30

Victoria, 270 Government Street (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Our stay at the James Bay Inn was great. The service at checkin and at their restaurant and pub was 2nd to none. Our king bedroom was very roomy and the bathroom as well. It should be noted that their food in their restaurant is excellent together with the friendly service. The menu is varied and the dishes are big. They cater to Seniors with lots of locals showing up for their popular brunch. We are...
The location is superb, just a few blocks behind the famous BC Legislative Building, within walking distance. The hotel has a long history, old British style, a bit dated, but still okay. Good value for money.
Would stay here again! Great location (15min walk to The Empress), quiet area (I am a light sleeper), comfortable bed and pillows, lovely warm room (we stayed in November, so warmth was good--I hate being cold!), and it was SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. Absolutely spotless. The staff were friendly and professional (Front Desk Staffer, pronounced Had-ee was particularly great) and there are added benefits like...
Just got back from 5 glorious days and nights in Victoria staying in the James Bay Inn cottage. From the minute I checked in, I knew I had made such a great choice. With thousands of places to stay in Victoria, this was my first time choosing the James Bay Inn. Right from check-in, the friendliness of staff and high-quality of service was something that really stood out to me. I had the pleasure of...
Really nice old school style hotel in a quiet residential area but just a few minutes walk from downtown Victoria, so the location is perfect. It was really neat hearing carriage horses clip-clopping down the street. The staff were friendly and efficient. My room was one of the smaller ones, but I thought it was really roomy and clean. No issues with the TV, wifi or the bathroom. This hotel is also...
Older building, with delightful rustic charm. Friendly and welcoming staff. We stayed here mid October. Free parking on site was available. Our stay was comfortable and fun. The location is excellent, with lots of Victoria places to visit within walking distance. We stayed in the king bed room, the layout was really nice and spacious. Our bed was squeaky, wasn’t bothersome to me but just a heads up...
