I searched on Deepseek for Guangzhou travel guides and, after reading many reviews, chose Lingnan No. 5 from the recommended options.
It exceeded my expectations! It's right by Tianzi Wharf, just a few minutes' walk away.
As for the hotel's facilities, it's very well-designed with thoughtful details everywhere. The bathroom is huge, and I especially have to highlight that the breakfast was absolutely amazing.
My child said that next time we come to Guangzhou, we absolutely must stay at this hotel again!

The hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. The hotel Wi-Fi connection was hard to manoeuvre. I ended up using my own global roaming for all my five days stay. The hotel should look into improving this facility. That said, the staff made it clear that they were happy to assist with the connection anytime.
My room, and I understand most if not all rooms, have windows or doors that can open. The fresh air made my stay all the more enjoyable.
Watching the colourful boats/cruises going up and down the river in the evening was just as enjoyable as taking the river cruise itself.

Excellent stay overall. The hotel has a very premium and well designed feel, with a calm and refined atmosphere that really stands out. Rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with high quality amenities and a very comfortable bed.
Service was a highlight. Staff were attentive, polite, and genuinely helpful, making the experience feel personal without being intrusive. Check in was smooth and professional.
The location is convenient for getting around Guangzhou, and the hotel itself feels like a quiet retreat after a busy day in the city. Breakfast was well curated with good variety and quality.

Room was well furnished with a large square bath tub, comfortable king bed, Nespresso machine and premium tea sachets.
Some signs of Aging though as some bathroom corners were a little black and the shower cubicle drainage was a little slow.
It was easy to call a Didi taxi to most places although they tend to stop at the white lines opposite (so you have to head across).
Breakfast was ala carte buffet style(menu attached in pictures) and as we stayed for 5 nights, became repetitive after a while though the congee tasted good!

Lovely boutique hotel with just right location to everywhere. The staff are friendly and ready to accomodate our extra request. Love the alacarte buffet breakfast with great porridge and egg varieties. Not forgetting the rooftop bar and restaurant for great dinner and view of the Pearl River. Can enjoy the beverages in the room and just chill.
Nice dimsum restaurants nearby and malls with varieties of food. TianZi pier is 2 traffic lights away to take a ferry ride down Pearl River. LN5 is a great place to stay in Guangzhou.

Too my surprise it was great hotel . As the name. Small but luxury and its romantic too .

We like how the hotel’s located. The pillow they provided is those very soft that will flat out when you sleep on it. However you can request them to change to a firmer one for you. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice river view in front of our room

Staffs were very friendly with great attitude. Breakfast was pretty good with great service. Booked suite room. Room was nicely decor and comfy. The only thing less satisfying was the house-keeping service, the cleaning could need improving.
