Reviews
We arrived early, and after a quick check-in, the suite was made available before the official check-in time. We were offered cookies at the time of check in. Complementary tea was available at the reception. The staff were courteous as well as helpful.
The suite itself included two bedrooms, a living room, and a bathroom. The bedrooms were modest in size, with beds suitable for two people each. The bathroom featured both a bathtub and a separate rain shower. Toiletries and linen were of good quality, and while toothbrushes and shaving kits were provided, body lotion was missing. A small fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks such as Coke, lemon tea, and four bottles of water.
The air conditioning worked well, and storage space was adequate, though we would have appreciated more storage in both the bathroom and living area. Wi-Fi was inconsistent—sometimes very fast, but often frustratingly slow. Outside the room, logging in required details that were not explained to us, and we did not follow up with reception.
Although the suite could accommodate four guests, breakfast was complimentary for only two, with an additional charge of 78 RMB for the third person. The breakfast spread was decent but below expectations for a hotel of this category. There was a live station for eggs and noodles, though the noodle options were repetitive (prawn dumplings or noodles with leafy greens daily). Other offerings included cereals, breads, limited salads, a couple of cut fruit options, sausages, congee, and Chinese-style dishes. Coffee was available from a machine, with hot milk and evaporated milk provided separately. Seating was comfortable, and service was average.
The hotel also offered an indoor swimming pool and a large, well-equipped gym. The gym, which was also open to non-hotel members, was one of the most impressive facilities we’ve seen.
The highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly its location. It is surrounded by numerous restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, some open late into the night (one bar near the entrance stayed open until 2 a.m.). Convenience stores operating 24/7 and metro stations within walking distance added to the ease of our stay.
To summarize, if you are traveling as a family of three or four, the Executive Suite is a practical choice since it allows you to stay together without booking separate rooms. However, I would recommend opting for the hotel breakfast only once to experience it, and then exploring the many nearby cafés and restaurants for breakfast and other meals — the variety and quality in the vicinity are excellent and add to the charm of staying here.
Cleanliness: Good, very clean. It has an old-school, Hong Kong vibe.
Environment: The surrounding CBD area is neat and tidy.
Service: The staff were attentive, but I had to go downstairs to pick up my food delivery, as they don't allow it to be brought up to the room.
