Novotel Citygate Hong Kong in Hong Kong

I really enjoyed my one night stay here; the shuttle from the airport was quick, once I found it. The driver was friendly. The check in staff were efficient and professional. The room was clean and pleasantly appointed. The breakfast was phenomenal, though I've found that this is one area that hotels in Hong Kong often shine. There were nice facilities that I just didn't have time to explore- the pool and grounds looked wonderful. I'd definitely spend more time checking them out if I had another opportunity! Check out was expedient, and the shuttle ride to the airport was again quick and easy.

We had a wonderful 5-day, 4-night stay at Novotel Citygate Hong Kong in Tung Chung as a family of six, including a senior and a child last May 9 - May 13, 2026.

The location was excellent, with easy access to major attractions like Disneyland (one MTR away) , Ngong Ping 360, the Big Buddha, Macau Bus Terminal, and Hong Kong city center. The complimentary airport shuttle was also a huge plus, making travel with our family and luggage very convenient.

A special thanks to our fellow Filipino bellboy, who was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. His warm attitude and assistance made a great impression on us.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent from check-in to check-out. Overall, everything was smooth and hassle-free.

We highly recommend Novotel Tung Chung for families. Our stay was truly memorable, and we would happily stay here again.

For our two-day stopover in Hong Kong, we chose the Novotel Citygate due to its proximity to the airport. The location is excellent—it is practically built into a shopping mall with tons of restaurants and shops, it takes just 30 minutes by MTR to Central, and it is right next to the cable car for the Big Buddha. We booked two rooms for a family with two teenagers and got them on the floor right next to the executive lounge. As a Platinum member, we received all the benefits, which they also extended to the children's room (thank you!). The hotel is pleasant, the rooms are on the smaller side but comfortable, the breakfast is decent, and the staff is very friendly. The only thing is that the executive lounge could be a bit better, as the selection there is quite limited.

It was ou 1st time in HongKong and our 1st out of the country vacation as a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids). We had an amazing 5 days stay at Novotel.

Grima from the reception warmly welcomed us with a room upgrade since it was our 1st time. Tommy and Mark were awesome in providing directions on how to reach a certain place.

Aside from awesome staff, it is near the MTR and bus station with lots of food/restaurant around. The hotel is also connected to a mall which made shopping so convenient 😉

We will definitely come back here!

I stayed in room 1133 for 2 nights from 17 - 19 April 2026. I was pleasantly surprises when I saw the room, because I expected a 2 star hotel room, but found a 4 star room. Johnny at Reception checked me in very professionally and the ladies from Housekeeping took good care of my room. Water was provid in carton containers. The hotel is situated inside a huge and modetn shopping centre and is a few minutes walk from Tung Chung MTR station. The Saturday morning I took the train to Disneyland which was a 20 minute train ride away. I slept peacefully on both nights and I did not hear any traffic noise. Breakfast was very nice. And I was allowed to stay until 1.00 o'clock before checking out. A free shuttle was provided to Chek Lap Kok airport. I shall stay at Novotel Citygate Tung Chung again if I need an hotel near the airport with reasonable rates. 🫠

The location is a huge plus. It’s very close to the airport and Hong Kong Disneyland, and just a few minutes away from Ngong Ping 360, which made exploring super easy. The hotel also offers a free airport shuttle, which was incredibly helpful for our trip.

Another thing we loved is that the hotel is directly connected to Citygate Outlets, so everything you need is right there—shopping, restaurants, and even the MTR, which made getting around very convenient, especially since we were travelling with two seniors and a child. The mall also has a grocery store where you can buy affordable ready-made meals—perfect if you’re travelling on a budget. Honestly, we were surprised by how generous the servings were!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. One small note is that the room my parents and I stayed in felt a bit older compared to the newer room my sisters and niece had—but overall still very pleasant. We did have a minor issue with the air conditioning in our room, but the staff handled it quickly and professionally by transferring us to another room, which we really appreciated.

Breakfast was also delicious with a good variety to start the day right.

Overall, if you’re looking for a convenient place to stay near the airport with easy access to transport, shopping, and food options, this hotel is a great choice! 😊

Connivence for those are visit HK for Disneyland and Nong ping 360, nice stay and friendly staffs, only one thing why door sooooo heavy!!

We stayed as a family of 4 within a group of 12 (including kids), and Novotel Citygate was the perfect choice. The location is super convenient — right next to Citygate Outlets, close to the Ngong Ping Cable Car, and just a short ride to Disneyland.
The free airport shuttle was a huge help, especially for a big group like ours. Everything from check-in to check-out went smoothly. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel had a modern, welcoming vibe.
Although we didn’t avail of breakfast, we were happy with the overall service and amenities. Definitely recommended for families or groups who want comfort, accessibility, and great value near Lantau Island attractions.

Our First time going to Hongkong as a family of 3 and my daughter love to stay here! ❤️ And if your travel is more like disneyland and Ngong ping village. Novotel is such a great place to stay it’s like 3 mins walk to Cable Car station and 3 mins walk to tung chung station. The hotel is so nice the people are really friendly. Ms Julie from the breakfast buffet is so nice even the food is so yummy! The room is super clean and the view from our window is so pretty. When we checked in to our room they have a little surprise for my daughter who is celebrating her 6th birthday! We will definitely comeback and stay in this hotel again!
