The Langham, Hotel in Shenzhen

Great location, facilities and services (front desk, housekeeping, lounge, breakfast).

Nice hotel in a good location, not far from a metro station. Very glad that I got my room in the morning, it was so good to be able to check in earlier than expected after a long flight. Spacious room, good breakfast and pretty affordable compared to other five star hotels in the area.

The Langham Shenzhen exudes British elegance with a prime location, making getting around a breeze. The rooms are spacious and exquisitely designed, with premium amenities, creating a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere. The Michelin-starred Tang Court offers authentic Cantonese cuisine, while the Palm Court's afternoon tea is a classic. The service is attentive and thoughtful, making it a top choice for both business and leisure travel.

The location is fantastic, super convenient for getting around. They even upgraded our room for free! The room was huge, and the facilities were well-maintained. Every corner had a stylish design, making it perfect for photos. My experience was way better than expected!

Breakfast was quite international and some local dishes. However the carpet was not well maintained as it had some smell.

The desserts at the lounge truly live up to their reputation. The dinner selection isn't vast, but it's refined. It's a pity the lounge doesn't offer breakfast. The hotel facilities are a bit dated, but they are very well-maintained. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next vacation.

We enjoyed our stay at Langham. The hotel room was beautiful. The service was prompt and courteous. The location was great for us that we could easily go to the mall where lots good restaurants were. 

The only not so pleasant surprise was we asked the breakfast server on the second floor where we could get coffee. She said although the cafe next to the restaurant was not open until 10 am, she could get us 2 cups of coffee. After the 2 small cups of coffee, she charged us ¥111.90. Definitely the most expensive Americana coffee I ever had. Live and learn, people. Lol

This hotel feels a bit dated, and there's a noticeable smell in the rooms. It seems the owner's management might be struggling, as the executive lounge's afternoon tea and happy hour have been significantly downgraded. The views are still nice, though I heard even the lounge breakfast will be discontinued soon. The pool is absolutely fantastic; the outdoor pool could easily be considered the most beautiful in Shenzhen. The changing rooms have a pleasant pine scent, which is a nice touch, but it seems there were no slippers. Breakfast was very rich and delicious, with Indian butter naan, jianbing guozi (Chinese crepes), and beef noodles being particularly good. The pastries were also plentiful. Overall, it's much better than the Ritz-Carlton Galaxy.

I first fell in love with The Langham when I stayed there in Los Angeles, then I went to The Langham Guangzhou for my second visit, and now Shenzhen is my third. My biggest impression this time is how incredibly soundproof the hotel is! The room was spacious and fully functional with a clever design. I only took two photos, but they can't describe how much I loved it! They gave me a room right by the elevator, which I was worried about because I'm sensitive to noise. I wanted to ask the front desk to change rooms, but they were fully booked, so I had to just stick with it. However, I slept incredibly well! I could only occasionally hear a faint 'ding' from the elevator when I was right at my door, and there was no noise from people talking in the hallway. It was so quiet! So comfortable! I briefly experienced the lounge. It wasn't as good as the one in Guangzhou, but it was sufficient. There were a lot of foreigners there, haha! I'll definitely stay here again next time!

Had a great stay!

The hotel's location is pretty good, close to the subway station, about a 10-minute walk. It's connected to 3 subway lines, making getting around very convenient, especially Line 11, which goes directly to the airport in less than an hour. There's also a shopping mall right next door, so shopping is a breeze.

I stayed in an executive room, and the layout and flow were very well-designed. Some of the facilities showed thoughtful attention to detail, and the British-style decor was very comfortable. The square bathtub was quite unique – it was great to watch TV while taking a bath. The double sinks were a nice touch, and the shower had excellent water pressure with a good hot water supply.

Room service was prompt, even though some amenities were out of stock. Their explanations and handling of the situation were spot-on, so I was still very impressed!

The breakfast had a wide variety of options, and the dining experience was good. Cheong fun (rice noodle rolls) and ramen were made to order, and there were cards on the tables to prevent long queues and crowding.

The lounge's afternoon tea had a rich selection and was delicious. The evening light meal was decent one day but not so good on another. The male staff in the lounge were very friendly and attentive, while the female staff were a bit more formal.

The gym and swimming pool were both quite clean. Overall, it was a very positive experience. Recommended!
