Reviews
Facilities: Good
Cleanliness: Good
Ambiance: Good
Service: Good
**Facilities:** Old, run-down, and broken. The decor and furniture look at least 15 years old.
**Hygiene:** The hygiene was just dirty, messy, and poor. There was a layer of dust on the cabinets, and the corners of the walls had really disgusting black grime accumulated. When I unrolled the bath towel, I found a clump of hair inside. The toilet wasn't even clean, with yellow stains all around, and it looked like something from the 70s or 80s. Yes, it actually had a bathtub – a bathtub! And you had to stand in it to shower. Brilliant. That bathtub was shallower than a large washbasin; if you're a bit overweight, half your belly would be sticking out when you lie in it. Even a rooster standing up would be taller than that tub. When I brushed my teeth, the toothbrush bristles fell out into my mouth – I was speechless. And the disposable slippers reeked so badly it made my eyes water.
**Environment:** I don't even want to talk about it. Hehehe.
**Service:** Non-existent, neither good nor bad.
Seriously, wouldn't it be better to spend that money on improving hygiene instead of paying so much to fake your ratings? Forget it, just let this place burn to the ground.
The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation. Right outside, you'll find the Jinyou Dangdang Bus Line 1 station, which can take you to many popular attractions. Across the street is Xiaobailou Station on Metro Line 1. If you walk straight out and cross the road, you'll reach the Wudadao Scenic Area (I recommend renting a bicycle, as the area is quite large and you'll do a lot of walking). Diagonally across the street to the left is the Trade Center mall, offering plenty of dining and shopping options. To the right is the famous Xiaobailou Music Center.
I booked a Deluxe King Room on Trip.com, and the front desk upgraded my room type to the 37th floor. The room was quite spacious, with a small sofa where I could relax. The window could be opened, which was a nice touch for ventilation. The soundproofing was also good; I didn't hear any conversations from the hallway or other rooms.
The room had all the basic amenities: plenty of hangers, tea bags, a kettle, a hairdryer, and a safe. The bathroom had a bathtub, and it came with a non-slip mat, so showering inside was fine, but you still need to be careful getting in and out. The toilet didn't have an electronic bidet/massage seat.
The service was decent, but two individuals left a deeper impression: one was an older lady at the front desk who proactively offered to store my luggage and was very efficient. The other was when I was waiting for the elevator, and it seemed like there was an electrical fault in another room, and the engineers came to check it out. The first engineer knocked, but the guest was unfriendly and impatiently told him, "It's already being fixed," then closed the door. Even in this situation, the second engineer patiently knocked again, explained and communicated the current situation to the guest, asked about the electrical connections in the room, and suggested turning off appliances and unplugging them. Later, the elevator arrived, and I went downstairs. I felt these engineers were very responsible, unaffected by the guest's mood, and dedicated to their work.
After staying for several days, I noticed a minor issue with the room cleaning – it wasn't very thorough. There were two small hand towels in the bathroom; I used one, and the next day, the dirty one was taken away but not replaced with a new one. I had to use the remaining one. Luckily, I was alone; if I were with my mother, we'd have had to use the larger towels. The bath mat on the floor didn't seem to be changed either; it was still there. I had to use it again, but at least it's just for my feet. The sink drained a bit slowly. The old tissues on the bedside table weren't thrown away; perhaps the staff thought I still needed them.
The elevators didn't require a key card to operate. It would be great if this could be improved; using a key card for elevator access feels safer.
Overall, it's still a good choice.
