The hotel was fully booked. We arrived past 3 PM and only one room was ready. The hotel's facilities are a bit old, and the fridge in our room was broken. There's no air conditioning or humidifier, so it was hot and dry at night, making it impossible to sleep.

Extremely satisfied! The hotel's location is absolutely perfect – there are restaurants, convenience stores, subway stations, and malls right outside. The service was excellent too. They even upgraded our room and provided welcome fruit!

The room was clean and the bedding had no strange odors, making for a comfortable environment. The only minor issue was that some of the facilities and equipment were a bit dated, but everything else was great. The hotel has its own parking lot 🅿️. It's also not far from tourist attractions, especially the Wudadao Scenic Area, which is within walking distance. There are plenty of diverse dining options nearby, and many shopping 🛍 malls, with Jinjie Street just a short walk away. In the evening, the housekeeping staff surprised guests with fruit! Definitely recommended!

A warm, classic hotel. Ms. Icy was friendly and efficient during check-in, helping me get everything sorted quickly and answering all my questions truthfully. After settling in, I discovered the mini-fridge was broken, but Ms. Gemma Guan promptly brought a replacement. The next day, I accidentally left my phone in the restaurant after breakfast. When I called, the staff member replied, "We're waiting for you," which felt very thoughtful. I also really appreciate that no staff member asked for a good review, but it was such a pleasant travel experience that I just have to give five stars. Thank you!

The location is fantastic, very close to Fifth Avenue and also a short walk to Binjiang Avenue Pedestrian Street. Although the hotel is a bit old, it still offers five-star amenities. The pool water temperature was great, and my child loved it. All the staff were very friendly. Overall, it's a great place.

After a long search for a hotel in downtown Tianjin, I finally chose this one, traveling with my family, including elderly parents and young children. My priorities were cleanliness and convenient transportation. Overall, it was pretty good. The views from upstairs were excellent, and it's very close to the Five Avenues. Even though it was cold, it was still very convenient to go out for a stroll. All in all, it's a good place, though some of the facilities are a bit dated.

My neighbors came over for the weekend, and on a whim, we decided to go to Tianjin! It was a spur-of-the-moment trip; we packed immediately. We grabbed the kids and headed straight to Beijing South Station. We were in Tianjin in just 30 minutes. I didn't hesitate to book the Westin Tianjin. The check-in experience was great.

1. **Poor Room Hygiene, Causing Discomfort**
On the evening I checked in, as I was getting ready to wash up and rest, I opened the toothbrush provided in the room only to find a strand of hair stuck to the bristles! Already feeling miserable from my cold, having to deal with such a hygiene issue late at night immediately plummeted my mood. I contacted the front desk to report it, and the lobby manager offered a bottle of red wine as an apology for the next day. I immediately explained that I couldn't drink due to my severe cold and explicitly declined the compensation, only hoping for a sincere response from the hotel.
2. **Rude Breakfast Staff, Reasonable Request Met with Indifference**
The next day, I went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast and asked the lady at the *jianbing* (Chinese crepe) station for a *jianbing* without spring onions – a perfectly reasonable request. Although she eventually made it as requested, her attitude throughout was extremely poor, her tone impatient, and her expression cold. This made me, already feeling unwell, even more upset and completely ruined my breakfast experience.
3. **Hotel Promises Unfulfilled, Check-out Adds to Disappointment**
The promised apology never materialized – no staff member contacted me proactively throughout the entire next day. There was no formal apology, nor any follow-up explanation regarding the hygiene issue, as if my feedback from the previous night had never happened. When returning the room card upon check-out, my leader and I returned two room cards together, yet the front desk staff only verified my name. This action was completely unreasonable and puzzling, further exacerbating the negative experience.
As a well-known star-rated chain hotel, the Westin Tianjin has serious flaws in its hygiene control, service quality, and complaint handling. It fails to uphold industry standards and completely lacks any warmth in its service.

I booked a two-night stay through Ctrip's business travel service. I'm usually pretty lazy about writing reviews, but after just one night, I couldn't wait to get this down. It all started at check-in. The front desk couldn't find my reservation, which freaked me out and made me wonder if I'd booked the wrong place. Tianjin, in my mind, is a northern city that should have central heating, and with the temperature outside at 2 degrees Celsius, I was freezing inside the hotel, even at 23 degrees. As someone from the south, the heating here wasn't even as warm as what I have at home. The AC was cranked to maximum, but the temperature wouldn't go up, and the fan noise was incredibly loud. So I asked the front desk if they had central heating. They said, 'No, sorry, we only have central air conditioning. If you're cold, we can provide an extra blanket.' This totally shattered my expectations; I thought they'd at least offer a space heater. The toilet flush button was faulty; it wouldn't reset automatically after flushing. The hairdryer made a huge racket when plugged in because its switch was broken. On business trips, I rarely use the hotel's shoe polish, but my leather shoes were dirty this time. Turns out, there was no shoe polish, no shoehorn, and definitely no umbrella. The room's lighting was very dim, making it difficult to work, and the curtains were a real struggle to open and close. I woke up in the middle of the night with a dry throat; poor soundproofing is a common issue in hotels, and I can understand that. But what I can't understand is why, during housekeeping, the floor mats and towels had so much visible hair that wasn't replaced. The only thing that gave me a glimmer of hope was the strong early 2000s decor upon entering, making me imagine it might have once been a glorious place. The mattress, however, was comfortable.
